As a General Dentist, I'm pretty particular about a specialist I choose for my personal care. I chanced upon Dr. Karmali when a patient of mine was referred by a treating Periodontist a couple years back. I have had the pleasure of working with many Endodontist, and must admit that I was immediately impressed with the obvious attention to detail and thoroughness of his care. As a referring General Dentist, we receive a report back regarding our patients, their prognosis, their care, and their follow up. A lot can be gleaned from these reports and I have elected to refer more and more patients to him. This is due to a variety of factors which include his thoroughness, professionalism, incredibly attentive manner, vast knowledge that sets him apart from his peers, and the technology he utilizes.
I practice in Boulder, and have a wide variety of locations from which I draw patients. I have quite a few patients coming from Denver, but the majority of my patients reside within 15 miles of Boulder. I feel so strongly about the care that Dr. Karmali provides, that I encourage patients to make the 45 min drive to his Lowry location, and I myself have done the same on two previous occasions when I have needed care.
I was involved in a bicycle crash during a race a few years back and required a root canal in one of my front teeth. The tooth never felt right afterwards and I kind of just accepted it. Eventually I decided to discuss the matter with Dr. Karmali and after a very thorough evaluation, he reviewed a variety of options that may help my situation. I elected to proceed with the care, knowing how much previous patients had benefited. I cannot stress enough that in this day and age of immediate gratification, it is wonderful that someone takes their time to get something right. Root Canal therapy is not a commodity, there is an amazing amount of skill and artistry that goes into it, that the average person never realizes. Additionally, there are times when it is crucial to be patient and utilize medicaments within the tooth to get both the pulp chamber and the ligament surrounding the tooth to settle down. There are a variety of such medicaments, and they require patience and time to do their work. Oftentimes patients want everything done as quickly as possible, to the detriment of longevity. I am incredibly happy that I have chosen to invest the time and energy in getting my tooth retreated as it has finally normalized and is no longer something that bothers me.
I refer patients to Dr. Karmali because I have a tremendous amount of respect for the passion that he has for providing the absolute best care possible in Endodontics. His pursuit of knowledge and understanding of difficult cases is profound. Having helped many of my patients resolve their issues,He continuously elevates my understanding just by working together on referrals and illuminating the latest developments ann advancements in Endodontics. I am not easily impressed or swayed, however he is well ahead of his peers in knowledge and technology. You would do yourself an incredible service to seek out his care for any of your endodontic needs, especially previously treated teeth that have been bothersome, that possibly you and your previous practitioners may have given up on. read more
