Even tho, they supposedly checked the insurance coverage before, just so they send the quotes they make you sign multiple times. Cannot recommend this place enough! If you're in need of an Endodontist, then you have to check this office out. I needed to have a previous old root canal fixed that was done by a previous dentist and I had been referred to two different Endodontist's for a consultation. Dr. MacDonald was the only one out of the two who wanted to try and fix the root canal so that my tooth wasn't in pain anymore and so that my tooth had every opportunity . I had a horrible experience with Dr. Reed today. I admittedly was anxious and confused throughout the appointment, and probably asked some "silly" questions but I was in a lot of pain and seeking help. I got the opposite of that. Dr. Reed was condescending and spoke in an erratic manner. I felt extremely gaslit by the end of the appointment. I don't know if he speaks to all patients that way, but he should be careful talking to people like that while in a position of power. It's an extremely uncomfortable dynamic during an appointment where patients are often anxious. I kept it as professional as I could while holding back tears and I was met with harsh, unpleasant and unprofessional communication. I have given this feedback to my (lovely) dentist who referred me to him and I hope that she can find someone new to recommend asap. No one deserves to leave an appointment with a professional adult feeling gaslit and offended. Especially when you're spending $300 and getting no answers about the issues you are asking about. No one wants a root canal. And unfortunately, I've had my fare share with endodontists and dentists alike performing them. Dr. MacDonald geeked out over my tooth -- in the best of ways. She explained why this was a very interesting tooth! THAT's the person I want performing root canals in my mouth. First, Dr. Ellen MacDonald was incredible! I have an amazing amount of anxiety around my teeth and she was patient and kind, even calling me later that night to check on me. Billing was a different story. Word to the wise check to see if they are in network. Evidently they were not in my network, I was given the estimate based on being in network. I am not the expert, but the patient. After calls to insurance and to Elevated Endodontics, they made it right, but it was super frustrating. I was told that I needed help so they would rather help me than let me know I was not in network. I strongly disagree as it was weeks between my call and actual treatment. I won't be going back because I can't afford to pay for out-of-network, but if they were in network, I would go to Dr. MacDonald again. read more

The entire staff at Elevated Endodontics were very professional and answered all my questions. Dr. Read did a great job explaining the options and allowed me to make my decision unpressured. They were able to take care of my problem tooth on the same day, and they were very helpful with the post root canal recovery procedures. Their modern X-ray/scanning equipment allowed them to analyze the issues with my teeth. The Front Office staff provided excellent information regarding insurance costs and option. My earlier review was pulled because they claimed it wasn't about the business......which is the businesses way of running scared from a negative experience. This dates back to pre 2020 when I had an issue with some old capped teeth. The treatment by this place was beyond anything I have ever experienced. I was told that I must drink a lot of alcohol because of the way my teeth looked. Also these teeth were caused by a sporting accident that 25 years later the caps were not good any longer. I had no options they told me. Pull one and the other needs a massive overhaul of root canal. I wasn't ready to accept these offerings so sought out TWO other opinions. Both dentists said this office must be in the business of charging for work not needing done. As well they X-rated teeth that weren't an issue as part of my referral to them originally. So I questioned why I was being charged for those Xrays, why were the being performed and I was told that I didn't know that I was talking about and that without these XRays they couldn't proceed. I said proceed with what? I didn't even want to use them. I was so beyond disgusted wit my treatment I got up to leave and was told I had to pay a certain amount otherwise they would send it to collections. So DAY ONE collections? I walked out. I got a bill in the mail and paid for the work that SHOULD have been performed, I refused to pay for the teeth Xrayed that weren't an issue, perfectly fine teeth. No cavities in them at all. I got a notice in the mail stamped FINAL NOTICE no more than 10 days later and called them. The woman with the purple hair in their pictures literally threatened me with ruining my credit report with more collections agencies. I said go ahead. They sent me 7 more letters over the course of 5 months and I ignored them. This office has ZERO idea how to operate with any respect and they will and force you to pay for work that wasn't even part of the issue. On top of it all during the check-up the pain they caused my one gum took months to heal with anti-biotics. Stay clear of them, you'll be glad you did. I will continue to haunt them by letting ANYONE who considers using them to run the other way. read more

If you already do not like the dentist I highly discourage seeing Dr. Reed. From not reviewing any of my prior records to just assuming the patient is wrong and just playing the "blame game" to not letting me blow my nose while I was crying out of fear before starting a procedure stating I already spent an hour of the time having him explain everything to me, I cant even fully explain how horrible his care was. He wanted to emphasize the entire visit how important it is to trust your dentist to know what's right, while simultaneously getting frustrated with simple questions that would help build trust because of time and having no interest in reviewing my prior records to verify what he was saying. Bedside manners go a long way for building trust and paternalism is not the way to build that-- and when someone is crying give them a freaking minute to collect themselves. read more

I was referred to Stapleton Endodontics Clinic by my dentist. I had a very large abscess with the possibility of loosing the tooth. My dentist was not at all hopefull. They got me in the same day as an emergency. I had a previous root canal with another dentist that was a very painful experience. Dr. Read put all my fears to rest! I did not feel a thing and was so relaxed I fell asleep for a bit. I had NO pain! Was given very clear instructions. Expecting to be very sore and painful when waking up there is literally again NO pain. Soreness yes but very little. I am so happy Dr. Read and his staff were there and saved my tooth! This has taken me some time to get over the trauma Dr. MacDonald caused from receiving a root canal from her. After the procedure, I was experiencing excruciating pain which I never experienced in past root canal procedures. I contacted them immediately & was advised to come in right away as the doctor never prescribed antibiotics to clear any remaining infection. After arriving at the office & getting to see the doctor, she told me I didn't know how to handle pain & I should agree to take the opioids she was trying to prescribe. I declines and asked for antibiotics instead as well as if she could look & see the problem. She agreed to x-ray, but that was it. She told me the x-ray showed nothing & if I'm not going to take the opioids, then she can't help me. She could do another root canal & charge me for it - those were my only options, opiods or root canal. Also, I was cutting into the time for her other root canal appointment, so I needed to leave the office. Luckily, my dentist had a head on her shoulders & clearly saw the discomfort I was in and remedy the situation immediately. Turned out the temporary crown was sitting higher than my teeth which was causing jaw pain, so she filed the temporary down & started me immediately on antibiotics. I was feeling 1,000% better in less than 24 hours. Dr. MacDonald nor Elevated Endodontics never followed up on my care nor recovery from everything. In my opinion,, Dr MacDonald's "bedside manner" could improve greatly & question her commitment to the medical profession to adequately care for patients. Probably best to seek out another endodontist to perform your procedure read more

I've had three root canals from three different places and this practice was the best from my experience. I can't empathize with the less than good reviews of Elevated because I experienced top notch technology with 3d image scanning to locate the issues coupled with Dr. Mac's clear, professional and friendly attention to the issues. The entire office atmosphere had a calm, friendly and warm demeanor, which helps when your not a big fan of extensive dental work. The procedure itself was essentially painless. Pre numbing agent applied before any shots and the rest of the procedure was shorter than anticipated. The aftermath of my prior experiences left me extremely soar, like I'd been hit by an object to the side of the face. For this one, I had a small headache and a mild tenderness on the tooth which is great because there is generally a bit of trauma that occurs with having a root canal. No post treatment Advil or Tylenol required for me. The end result is what one could only ask for from a root canal; quick, relatively painless and it fixed the problem. What else do you need, thank you Elevated Endodontics! I would definitely recommend!! read more

Be very very weary. My normal dentist referred me to Dr. Read for a evaluation to see if a tooth could be saved with a root canal. Yes I'm in pain and jumpy and nervous. Both the Dr and myself move our schedules around for the next day. I show up and I'm hit with a estimate without even looking at the teeth. The cost is high which is understandable for the work needed but I haven't even been in for evaluation yet. The receptionist just kept say oh don't worry. At this point my anxiety is already high, I go back and get X-rays, then sat in a room. Dr. Read comes in ready to do the the root canals. My anxiety is through the roof at this point. I don't have the money for the procedures at this point and have to go back to work in a hour. So I explain I was only suppose to do a evaluation of 2 teeth on the left and one on the right since there is substantial pain in turn I then feel like I've wasted Dr Reads time and he seems a little frustrated which is understandable. I then get a talk about promising not to miss an appointment and they moved things around to get me in that day also what needs to be done and how I could make a appointment at 3pm since I can't miss work, Dr read said he would work with me to make everything work out. so fast forward to a week later I call to make the appointment to get it done. The girl on the phone with me was very short. She keeps telling me it's for the tooth on the right. I explain it's for two teeth on the left that are now in extreme pain. She says she will talk to Dr. read, comes back on the phone and explains they can only do 1 tooth at a time because it will be to much pain and the jaw needs to heal and 3pm is out of the question because the staff doesn't stay that late. I would need to come in at 10 am. I explain I can't do that due to work. So I get the talk about "we will give you a Doctors note to excuse you" and I explain for the 4th time I can not miss work with or without a doctors note. So I said I would call back. I talked to my dentist again and both of us have tried to call this office and have not gotten a response. Then I find that they have billed my insurance for way more then what was on the estimate so I'm put in a tough spot not being able to afford the work I need if I go to another Endodontist. This experience was not good. Dr. Read was nice and answered all my questions but the staff is not good. Now I'm stuck in pain and having to go through this with someone else and spending almost twice as much. read more

I have been getting multiple root canals and retreatments every year since I was 10 due to abuse and trauma I experienced as a child. Root canal pain can slowly creep up on you until it becomes unbearable. Especially if you have more than one abscess. The pain can radiate though your jawbone, neck, temples, ears and play tricks on your mind. My sympathy goes out to anyone who has experienced this type of pain. It took me a while to post this because for many years I didn't feel that life was worth living. The pain was too intense and the Endodontic work I received was not consistent. Then I moved to Colorado and met Dr. Read and his wonderful staff. I am so grateful to Dr. Read. I have spent of lot of time in his chair and observed so much excellence over the years as his patient. He treats his staff with kindness and respect and he is a gem to be around. Dr. Read can find the tiniest, most angry nerve and take away ALL of your pain. He can retreat and repair existing root canals. I have visited dozens of Endodontists throughout my life but Dr. Read and his staff stand out the most. Victims of trauma need a special type of care. Thank you for improving my quality of life. I'm not scared because all I have to do is make an appointment with Dr. Read and be at peace knowing I am continuing down the path of healing after a lifetime of pain. Waste of time and ridiculous waste of a consult fee. Showed up early for an appointment thinking same day service for consult and root canal- did not happen. Worst part was driving from Thornton for this early appointment and waiting on the doctor to finish his work out!! I saw him come in the back stairwell drinking a shake, wearing his workout gear. As a first time root canaler (and possibly soon many more to come unfortunately) I was extremely nervous. I was going through a lot of pain suddenly, to the point where I had to get painkillers from my dentist and couldn't work. Luckily, my mom is a smart and vet root canaler so she also got me antibiotics and ant-inflammatory which did more for the pain than vicodin. I initially had a consultation and treatment scheduled for Friday afternoon but because of the pain I was in, I called again Wednesday and was able to get in Thursday afternoon. I did have to wait a couple minutes before I could get in-but that's to be expected in this last-minute line of work. The tech was a little unsure of herself so the x-rays seemed to take a bit longer, but I assume she was only just training. Please do instill some more confidence in her, I felt that radiating off and it made me nervous. Once I did meet with Dr. Read he was thorough in explaining everything with a warm accent. From the xrays he assumed that other teeth were the issue, but after doing a cold test we determined that indeed, the least likely of my front tooth, had died tragically. After the numbing, which thankfully was the most and only painful part, he got on with it. It was a quick and easy process, definitely a good first impression on a procedure that I unfortunately may be undergoing more often than not. He will definitely be my Endodontist of choice moving forward. read more

I did not get services from them. Maybe they are good in their field but the front end staff had an appalling customer service demeanor. I was referred there and in trying to get an appointment. I was reminded that I should have sought services ahead of time to prevent my current state. The office manager states you should have called the day before so I could have put you in to see us today. I felt chastised for not seeking help sooner and was told and reminded over and over again in a passive aggressive manner that I should continued to take Ibuprofen and Tylenol to manage my pain. I felt over talked and felt like I needed to defend myself for allowing the pain to get so bad. Who wants to hear that while experiencing pain. I believe her name was Tessa. Numerous conversations later with me getting upset, I was eventually told nothing could be done and was provided an option to be seen immediately but told they were going to close in 30 minutes but my commute was going to take longer. All in all I appreciate their assistance in trying to help me with my pain but did not appreciate their sarcastic, condescending, belittling and chastising demeanor and decided to stay in pain rather than pursue services from them. Customer service is important to keep your business running and if you don't have it you will lose mine and other's in the future. I will seek services somewhere else and hope the next person coming does not feel the way they made me feel. To Tessa or the Office Manager, passive aggressive demeanor was not appreciated in this situation and you lost my business because of it. Apologizing for how you were perceived by me then attempting to validate your atrocious behavior in the same sentence comes of disingenuous. Do not over talk your customer. Listen so they feel heard.
