Clean environment, always answers my questions, efficient appointments, friendly staff throughout the practice

Was overcharged by Station Dental by 4x the amount insurance charged. They don't automatically credit your account if you over-paid, you have to call back to get refunded. If you don't call back...they keep the amount you overpaid (theft). They won't let you wait to pay till insurance runs it - you are required to pay upfront. They also don't tell you to follow-up, so this process of overcharging customers without proactively reimbursing goes under the radar. I find this extremely unethical. In addition, the receptionist wasn't very empathetic about it either (she said better to receive money back than have to pay more, completely disregarding the issue at hand). I'd like to offer 2 recommendations if a manager or business owner sees this. 1. Let customers pay once it runs through insurance; that way no one is over or under charged. Yes, a receptionist may have to follow up with people, though I understand that's a normal role of a receptionist at a health/dental office. 2. Find a way to automatically credit/refund people's accounts and communicate with customers when that's happened. Taking extra money from customers, not refunding/crediting till asked, and not communicating this risk upfront is simply unethical and not sustainable for the future. Aside from this billing malpractice; I think the dental professionals are great at their job and offer a great service. I'd like to not have to take my business elsewhere...though I can't stand for the unethical charging process and lack of understanding of the issue. I'd happily change my review to a 4/5 star if this billing process can be sustainably resolved. read more

I've been going to Station Dental for over a year now and it's been a good experience. But today was the best so far. My cleaning with Brook was the best I've ever had and they are lucky to have her. She was very thorough and professional and took good care of me. She made the experience enjoyable and personable and our conversation was fun and took my mind off the work being done. Since Dr. Martinich retired, I have really wanted and tried to be OK with the corporate Station Dental takeover. I know Dr. M was old school and cared more than most Dentists these days, but what I am going through, trying to do a tooth implant has been more painful than the actual surgeries I had at the Perio Dr. They referred me to. Let me try try to bullet when not possible. Late 3/2024 - Went to Station dental shortly after typical 6 month visit. Early 4/2024 made appointment to check bulge over a tooth. Same time frame, referred to Endo - to no avail. Referred to Perio, yes we have a plan. Extraction, Implant and Crown. Extraction was a 2 hour surgery as was the implant. The "cover" was another hour. All were no big deal. I am immune to Dental processes, they are for the good. The process took just under 11 months. Then I was referred back to Station Dental for the Crown. I seriously asked "why, early in the process you said you would take care of all of this". The response was "it's an easy process". I just came back from my 2nd "simple" process and Station Dental now needs to order year another Torque Wrench. Are you kidding me? They didn't have the correct wrench the 1st time after going through molds and a 2 week wait for the tooth. Then their Torque wrench doesn't fit the screw. Because it's an old screw? Order a Torque wrench and 2 weeks later that doesn't fit. It was another 1/2 hour process to drill out the "filling" in the hole leading to the screw. I was told I would need to come back and try again, hopefully the next wrench works. I said "No, I am not going through this 1/2 hour procedure just to drill out the filling that should have never been needed to begin with. I have an appointment tomorrow with the Perio to check your work. They put put the screw in my mouth, so I assume they have a Torque wrench that matches. It is literally across the street. Maybe they have one and I can go now". Response "let me call them". Outcome from conversation apparently was "great news you are going there tomorrow, they will do the Torque and refill." Wow. I was referred to the Perio by Station Dental and referred back to Station dental for my "simple" Crown. And yet, they never communicated. Hers' a simple question, "what size torque wrench do I need for the implant you did for our Mutual Patient?" That would take a proactive phone call. Nothing about Station Dental is Proactive except their GREED, or incompetence. Not positive which is worse. Ha. And an AI response. Trust me AI, live people already know, I told them in the moment. Others need to know. Oh my gosh. After posting this review yesterday I got this text: Dear Matthew, it seems that you have missed your last routine exam and cleaning. Your dental health is crucial to us. Please call us at (303) 791-0160 to schedule your appointment at your earliest convenience. Thank you! To unsubscribe, reply STOP I was there in February for a cleaning and exam before the Perio exposed the implant and put a temporary holder in place as it made sense to do it before then as the teeth around it were exposed and wanted to make sure everything looked good prior to, what I thought was, the 2nd to last step. if I could leave a NEGATIVE 10 REVIEW I would; this place and the team is a NIGHTMARE! Do NOT schedule here EVER! They "forget" to do any sort of follow up. I had three temporary crowns placed and they say they will call you when your permanent crowns. I tried calling and texting multiple times with no response and after three months they said, "whoops we forgot to call you; yeah your crowns have been sitting here for months". Then I go in a surprise; the teeth shifted and the crowns don't fit. so now we have to do more xrays and more temporaries. two days later my temporary breaks, and they can't get me in for three weeks. then I get a call back that I have to WAIT until my permanents come in. Lo and behold, 9 WEEKS LATER I go in for my appointment and the teeth shifted AGAIN and the permanen crown DOES NOT FIT! I've missed so much time and work over scheduling and rescheduling appointments. no one take any accountability here. their solution was to have me drive 45 min to the closest station dental that makes crowns in house and says they can make me an appointment with them at 11:30am. So I cancel the rest of my workday, drive all the way out there and they say "I'm sorry, you are late. we had you scheduled at 11:00 not 11:30. you will have to reschedule" ARE YOU KIDDING ME! MALPRACTICE! BBB and the state board will be notified of this neglect. Absolutely shameful. read more

Be very careful when you use this dental office. I have a treatment plan for $500 but they were submitting to a second insurance so they said probably less. Just received bill for $1,205 so almost 300% more than treatment plan. Never going back and fighting the bill. read more

Let me start by saying everyone is very friendly there but we will not be going back. My son had a filling fall out and is still having a few problems with that tooth even after they fixed it again. I had a cavity that wasn't even bothering me that they wanted to work on. Well it turned into me not being able to chew on that side of my mouth for the next four weeks after they worked on it. Then after two additional visits I was told I needed a crown on that same tooth. I was skeptical and got a second opinion and the new dentist told me it wasn't that tooth at all that was causing me pain but rather it was the one next to it that needed to be addressed. I was two days away from station dental putting a crown on a tooth that was perfectly fine and I would have still been in pain because it wasn't even the correct tooth. Not for us and won't ever be again. In regards to station dental comments I will be Happy to share my results. read more

They have a full range of services. All provided by caring professional. I've had extractions, crowns and fillings. And normal care as well. I like them, I keep going back. I trust them to do a good job for me. read more

I think I may have had a new person because she struggled with my xrays/bitewings and i had a lot of water splatter. she almost gave me a treatment I initially declined. they were also out of fluoride. but the gal and dentist were polite and I was in and out within an hour. read more

The front desk person was wonderful, reaching out to me after I had to call an oral surgeon. The Dental Assistant is so upbeat, it is hard to feel anything but happy with her. I had Dr. RameshShe kept me informed as she tried to remove a deep root. Fially, it was decided i would need an oral surgeon. I recommend Station Dental in Highlands Ranch. read more

After 20+ Years of going to the same dentist and cleaning office, I was forced to find a new one due insurance. After reading reviews I chose Station Dental Highlands Ranch.I have now had three visits with the dentist and thorough cleaning. All were exceptional visits. The cleanings were with a totally different technique, at least to me. It was the most pleasant cleaning experience I have ever had which is pretty funny considering it was a dentist visit. Then, I needed to have crowns done. I hate dental work and tried to talk myself out of it!! But with Erin working with me, answering questions, I finally showed up for an appointment with Dr. Myka Varkalis to have two done in one day. It went so well (though I recommend the Nitrous oxide for nerves), I couldn't believe it. Dr. Varkalis was calm, patient, thorough, willing to answer questions and I couldn't believe it was over when it was over. The practice got me in quickly though I was not an existing patient. The entire staff from Chris at the front desk to Dr. Rabus and Ashley were personable and caring. Estimates and options were given prior to any work being done. Dr. Rabus was thorough with great sensitivity to patient comfort and concerns. The office is welcoming and clean. After years of seeing the same dentist somewhere else and being unhappy, I'm so glad I switched to Station Dental with Dr Pryor. Took her time going over and explaining everything to me - great bedside manner. Was also happy to have the front desk show me what my payment responsibility will be based on what would/could happen with the doctor. Do NOT use this dental office. I'm on medicare, not private insurance. The dentist told me that I needed a crown back in March 2021. It's now August 2022 and Station Dental is trying to collect over $600 from me because insurance is saying that it was not necessary. In my opinion if it was not necessary, don't give me a crown and do your job correctly! People on Medicare don't have that kind of money to spend! This is a fight between the Dentist and Insurance. Leave me out of it! Do not trust the judgment of the dental office to act in good faith on your behalf! read more

Very comfortable lobby to get me relaxed before the exam. Staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating. They explained all of the medical lingo they used so I could follow along during the exam. I'll be returning in 6 months. read more

Dr Martinich is a fantastic Dentist. His "chair side" manner is very assured and relaxing. Going to the Dentist is something I don't have to stress about with Dr Martinich. My only problem is I never know how to spell his name (lol) . I highly recommend Dr Martinich and have known him for several decades. read more
