Was overcharged by Station Dental by 4x the amount insurance charged. They don't automatically…read morecredit your account if you over-paid, you have to call back to get refunded. If you don't call back...they keep the amount you overpaid (theft). They won't let you wait to pay till insurance runs it - you are required to pay upfront. They also don't tell you to follow-up, so this process of overcharging customers without proactively reimbursing goes under the radar. I find this extremely unethical. In addition, the receptionist wasn't very empathetic about it either (she said better to receive money back than have to pay more, completely disregarding the issue at hand). I'd like to offer 2 recommendations if a manager or business owner sees this. 1. Let customers pay once it runs through insurance; that way no one is over or under charged. Yes, a receptionist may have to follow up with people, though I understand that's a normal role of a receptionist at a health/dental office. 2. Find a way to automatically credit/refund people's accounts and communicate with customers when that's happened. Taking extra money from customers, not refunding/crediting till asked, and not communicating this risk upfront is simply unethical and not sustainable for the future. Aside from this billing malpractice; I think the dental professionals are great at their job and offer a great service. I'd like to not have to take my business elsewhere...though I can't stand for the unethical charging process and lack of understanding of the issue. I'd happily change my review to a 4/5 star if this billing process can be sustainably resolved.

The doctor said the tooth was cracked and had an infection but that it was too late in the day to start a root canal procedure and they couldn't get me back in until Saturday. Panicked at the thought of trying to live 4 more days in that pain I asked if she could give me something stronger to hold me over until then. She waved her hand and said, 'Oh I wouldn't give anything for pain for that!' and refused. So finding one that caters to the scared patient and even offers nitrous for a cleaning made me happy. Dr Lunn and his whole staff make me feel comfortable every time I go. If I'm having any kind of procedure they offer nitrous, explain the procedure and put my irrational fears aside. They are very gentle, check on me, and offer breaks when I need one. I trust them and that helps with my anxiety. Barbara is often my hygienist and is super personal and very gentle. Brittney has been there for all of my procedures, is very knowledgeable and always helps to put me at ease. Chanda is so nice to talk to and always accommodates my schedule. Not only do I love their "chair side" manner, but they are so accommodating. Whether my dog ate my mouth guard, my crown fell out or I have some other random dental emergency, they always fit me in.
