My phone got a mysterious crack and started phantom typing and calling people. The screen had stripes on it and it could only see parts of it. It's an iPhone se old model. I left it like this for several weeks afraid of what it would take to fix it. I was traveling through Santa Fe and decided it was time to finally do something about it. I found this place online and called them. The person working was very nice and gave me the price to replace my screen. $70 dollars is a lot but it's standard for screen replacement I've found. I have had the most positive repair experiences at Synergy Tech. Unlike other tech repair businesses, even the apple store, the service at Synergy Tech includes: no pretension, plenty of patience and very clear communication and pricing expectation. I always feel like I'm getting honest, accurate diagnosis' and know what I'm paying for. I have very bad luck with tech.my phone, which could be hugely frustrating, but the experience of going to Synergy Tech is so positive it makes getting a broken screen fixed not so bad. Absolutely outstanding service! This place was recommended by our Butler, Jonathan, at the Hacienda. I had smashed my screen on my iPhone. Synergy Tech took it with a smile and a promise of 45 minute service. I was gone longer than that as we were Museum hopping in Santa Fe. I returned and the work was done. I decided to get a screen protector and in an additional 30 seconds ( yes, seconds) it was done and done!! Very reasonable price for everything. (And, my phone was returned to me fully charged!!) If you need cell phone or tablet service while visiting in Santa Fe, this is definitely the place to go. If you live in Santa Fe and don't know about Synergy Tech...well, you probably haven't needed them yet. When you do, they'll be there for you! read more

This business continues to act unethically (Please see my previous review and the owner's comments, which include a violation of Yelp's Terms of Service, which have been reported). Be warned. DO NOT use them. Indeed they DO use shoddy, malfunctioning parts that will damage your iPhone (scroll through other reviews and see some of the same issues), as confirmed by the Apple Store. And AmEx refunded me in full, due to my documentation of Synergy Tech's faulty, harmful service (and that company's protection of the customer, something from which Synergy Tech could learn volumes). Also scroll down and see the kind of "customer service" shown by Synergy Tech in the company's replies to critical reviews. Do you really want to give money to a company that endorses such baseless behavior (in addition to having the company make your phone worse)? I have reported the owner to Yelp or violating its terms of service and posting contact information for its patrons in my comment (And I will be contacting a lawyer as well). EDITED TO ADD: Yelp acts more professionally than Synergy Tech as well. It has enforced its TOS and redacted Synergy Tech's inclusion of this information, which is a violation). In addition, Synergy Tech decided to post an email I sent to the company (to which the company never responded)...but cut out large portions (EDITED TO ADD: Yelp smartly forced the redaction of this truncated email as well). Yes, I disputed the charge and unless it's simply refunded by you, I know of no other action. While the replaced screen LOOKED fine, it has simply proven to be not Apple quality and definitely does not allow for normal operation when it comes to scrolling and typing (and also acts different when in the sun). I'm beyond frustrated since your service was nice and polite. But it is simply not working at any sort of normal and expected level now. I have already made an appointment with the Apple Store in NYC to have this taken off and replaced with something that will work as expected (I've had a screen on a previous phone replaced by Apple and it was superior and worked just fine after). And it's not just me. I handed my phone to someone last night so she could look at something and when scrolling, her response was, "What's wrong with your phone, that's bizarre." She also had trouble with finger movements to zoom. They were very helpful in replacing the screen on my OnePlus One phone three times (I have a toddler, it now has a screen protector, not their fault). It requires ordering special parts, and they kept me appraised of the arrival time, and replaced the screen promptly and professionally when I brought it in. Staff were also friendly and courteous, and enjoyed entertaining the toddler while I filled out forms. The new screen + installation was less than a third the cost of the phone, so the service was well worth it, and with a case on my phone I've now been screen safe for two years! Nice enough counter help, but they ruined my phone. I have an Apple iPhone 5, which suffered the most *minor* water damage you can imagine: screen a little psychedelic-looking, that's it. Take it in, and they tell me the battery also needs to be replaced ('there was a recall from Apple, but you missed it.'). OK, no worries, new screen new battery, $110, fine. Get the phone back and the screen doesn't work right. Types randomly, firing off garbledyguukk messages to people without me hitting send... nightmare phone. Also, the new battery doesn't seem new at all. No longer standby time or anything. Take it back, and they say, 'oh must need to be calibrated again, come back in 30 minutes.' Get the phone back, and now it's stuck permanently on full bright. Can't be dimmed. 'Oh that sometimes happens with water damage.' What?? I ask if I can have my old screen and battery back, they say 'no. But you can sell the phone on Craigslist.' So now, my phone last about 15 minutes if it's unplugged, even from fully charged. And the BS typing issue still happens. I have to put it to sleep and then back on the have it work like a phone. Eff you guys, eff your stupid little rip off business that uses bullshot Malaysian screens knowingly, just taking $100 per half hour. My Galaxy S8+ fell out of my pocket going about 35mph on the asphalt during a the Santa Fe Century ride. It broke the protective case and the phone face shattered. It only flickered white occasionally, then went blank. I was devastated. Took it in to these guys and they had it fixed in about 2 days. What? No not never don't bother I took my laptop in to upgrade the processor and it never worked again. After a huge series of life events and using an iPad my laptop sat unable to login except in safe mode. I finally had time off work during 9-5 hours to bring it back. THEY Broke my computer and now they want me to pay to evaluate their f up. Ok won't be back and will not recommend. Was it worth the negative press? Be reputable! took my laptop in with error message that cooling fan not working, usb port not working, and another problem. They fixed one problem but not the cooling fan or usb port. Took it in a second time to fix the cooling fan. They charged me $45 but didn't fix it. I took it to Nelson at Santa Fe Computer Works. He fixed the usb port and found pieces of plastic in the cooling fan. How could they miss that. I explained this on email and suggested they refund the $45; no answer.
