This place is amazing. I had a wisdom tooth pulled by a different dentist office just to find out there was still half the tooth in my mouth. This was over 10 years ago so the thought of having to have it removed a second time scared the heck outta me. Dr. Dave removed it painlessly! This is day two, I expected to have to take the day off to recover but I feel great! No pain meds needed. I'm shocked! He pulled the wisdom tooth, another rotted molar, filled a cavity, and scrapped some plaque. I'm 39, for 39 years I have feared the dentist. Before undergoing an extensive dental procedure by Dr. Dave Ellingson, I wanted a simple question answered. I called his office three times, but I received no response by either the doctor or the receptionist. The third time I called the office, I said that this would be my last attempt, and if I did not get a response, I would look elsewhere for dental care. I'm an ice tea (unsweetened with lemon) guy, and it's by far, my favorite daily beverage. Unfortunately drinking ice tea along with my taste for dry red wines, has discolored my teeth. After trying whitening strips, which were moderately successful, but caused irritation and were a bit of a hassle, I made the decision to make have my teeth professionally whitened at Synergy Dental after they explained the process to me. Upon my arrival, my friend Joele at the front desk introduced me to Amy and explained she would be taking care of me. Prior to beginning the whitening process, Amy provided me with a concise and detailed explanation of the steps that she would take and what I could expect during the two hours I was there. Amy also put on some classic rock (my favorite) via a Pandora like program and made me comfortable. The entire process took approximately two hours to complete and was totally pain free. I was also provided (these trays were made at the beginning of the process) with a custom made (they fit my teeth perfectly and are comfortable as they're soft and flexible) set of whitening touch up trays to be used periodically after my "Lumibrite" (the blue light and special gel that was placed on my teeth during the whitening process) treatment. I also want to comment that Amy was an absolute professional and was most gentle and careful throughout the entire process. Many thanks for that Amy! I must say that the end result of the whitening process was beyond my expectations! I also want to thank my dentist and friend, DDS Scott Adams who also checked in to see how I was doing and we even talked a bit of Longhorn Football. Many thanks for that personal touch Scott! Unfortunately I will no longer be returning to this office after 5 years of going here. I received a crown and almost $3000 later it isn't fitting right, went back to get it adjusted and was charged $30. Still felt off so I called and asked to see a different dentist for a second opinion and that dentist was David Ellington, who decided it was important for me to know the anatomy of your teeth and how it was similar to a tree root. I listened for about 30 minutes and asked if he could just take a look as I have things I still needed to do for the day in which he replied no not until you fully understand a root canal and crown. I replied I did and it was fine I just had a lot to do for the day and just want to see if something is wrong with it. He replied no not until you understand this. So after waiting 45 minutes I decided to walk out without my tooth being looked at because he was trying to give me a life lesson on dentistry. He is a terribly condescending man and I would recommend you find another dentist so your tooth isn't worse after spending 3k for a root canal/crown. read more

I was very impressed with this place. The staff was friendly, the dental hygienist was personable and knowledgeable, and Dr. Adams was great. They took the time to help me with my dental hygiene without making me feel the least bit uncomfortable. They were honest with their recommendations and I didn't feel pushed into anything. Dr Ellingson is awesome. My wife and I have been seeing him for a few years now and would never even consider switching. He is always generally interested in not only my oral care, but our family as well. The guy always has a huge smile on his face and is just happy to be there. I have had some minor work done with him (cavities) and he did an awesome job. I've been with other dentists who are just in a hurry and my bite always felt different afterwards. Dr Ellingson did a great job with the fitting and I felt so good afterwards. His staff is also incredible. I have seen several of his hygienists over the years and they all live up to the hype as well; they are all thorough and super friendly. I was visiting my daughter from out of town and needed to visit a dentist right away and didn't know where to start. My daughter went on Yelp and found Synergy Dental and remembered that her Othodontist recommended them to her as a dentist. They were able to see me the next day after I called them and I couldn't be happier. I thought for sure I was going to lose my tooth but when discussing what was going on with the Dentist he informed me that he could repair my tooth for only $135. For two (2) years I've been troubled with teeth 2 and 3 (upper right) that both have crowns. Food catches in between the teeth which then becomes terribly painful. For two (2) years my current provider has told me there's no problem, there's nothing he can do. In fact, he seems to have "checked out" each time we visit now. My friend recommended Dr. Adams so after an extremely painful fight I decided to visit him. I am so glad I did. In less than one (1) minute he was able to assess the problem and recommend a permanent solution. Two days later he removed one crown and has made a larger one which will "contact" the tooth beside it, alleviating the gap which had been catching food, pushing food into my gums and causing extreme pain. However, he also found another culprit.....what appeared to be leftover cement from a previous procedure that had imbedded itself into my gum. Dr. Adams described this as a thorn in your skin that had been there all this time causing pain. Not only did Dr. Adams resolve my problem DAY ONE, he and his staff explained every procedure, every step of the process (including billing) in full detail. Finally, this is truly one of the most genuinely positive work environments I've ever visited. Everyone was friendly, kind, smiling, laughing and again, genuine about it. I HIGHLY recommend this office and Dr. Adams to anyone seeking a dental provider. read more

I had a root canal done by Dr. Ellingston about 3 years about (that tooth still HURTS almost every single day). I remember when he was doing my root canal he was also still tending to several other patients at the same time. He kept going back and forth, and seemed like he was getting frustrated with my root canal because "my roots are all split, so instead of 4 roots, it became 8 roots" taking longer than expected, he was still running out to tend to other patients. When he would come back I would need more numbing. It was a couple hours or more in the chair. My jaw was very much in pain after all that. One month went by, still felt pain so I went in. He told me it was Normal. One year went by, he said the same thing. Two years, he still claims everything is fine. Every night before I go to bed, I have a dull pain right where that root canal was done. When I tap on that tooth, it hurts a bit. I am dreading to see a specialist for the tooth but the pain is getting unbearable. I believe Dr. Ellingston rushed my procedure even though he did admit it turned into double the work because of my split canals. He refuses to fix it and I will never recommend this office to anyone ever!!! read more

I'd been seeing Dr. Adams at Synergy Dental for eight or ten years and had been very happy with their services. I referred my whole family there. Long story short, they hired a new dentist (whose name I can't recall). I needed a new crown and asked, as usual for Dr. Adams. Was told I'd be seeing the new dentist and that a new practice of making in-house crowns would be used. As I was very skeptical of both, I was assured repeatedly that both were experienced and everything would so smoothly. The new dentist digitally measured for the new crown, produced it, and then adhered it without first checking the fit. Immense, immediate pain and pressure were felt upon the adhesion. While waving my hand directly in front of his face to indicate he needed to stop, the dentist ignored me and continued pressing hard to place the crown. Not sure why he didn't stop, but guess he felt I was overreacting (which I don't, as I have a very high threshold for pain). He then had to remove that incorrectly-measured crown and replace it with a satisfactory crown, during which much blood and matter were sprayed over my pants and top, outside the parameters of the apron. I advised Dr. Adams of the incident, but no apology was ever given. Needless to say, my family and I have not returned to Synergy. read more

Synergy Dental is GREAT. I chose them after they were recommended by a friend. I took my three young children to have their teeth cleaned (first time dentist visits for two of them) and they were great at making my kids feel comfortable and making it fun experience for them. Their favorite part is visiting the "treasure tower" to pick a toy after their visit. We were very impressed by the staff and both dentists. We will certainly be using Synergy Dental for years to come. read more
