Have had them several years and now that I have a problem, I can wait until the end of the day, or enroll in a membership that cost more money. What a racket. They are taking g advantage of the situation and holding me hostage for a ransom. Not sure why they think I will pay more for terrible service. Worst security company ever. Most alarms can be monitored by anyone; however, if you have Sympshire gotta use their monitoring. And if something is wrong and you need help usual wait times are 1.5 weeks - not days. Because my fire alarm not working at all, I asked if I could be a priority - Kyle (guy with Sympshire) continually repeated "As I said that's our first available." Their cost for monitoring is well above the norm for this area. Nothing on my $$$ keypad told me any of my smoke detectors were not working so when my fire alarm recently went off and my downstairs filled with smoke, I'm scrambling with my phone to call the monitoring station only to get re-routed to voicemail because it was after hours. read more

By far the worst security company I have ever used. Our alarms have gone off for no reason multiple times while we were not home. No one from Symspire even contacted us, our neighbor did! It is impossible to get anyone on the phone and when you actually do, they hang up on you. If I could leave a -10 star I would. We have even talked to the CEO due to all the issues we have had with this company over quality or general service and overall customer service and nothing has changed. 100% would not recommend to my worst enemy. read more

Had a great meeting at Symspire to plan the low voltage system (entertainment, internet, security system, etc.). I have to admit I was a little surprised that it did not for one moment feel at all like a sales pitch. Greg explained the various options, and asked us what we were interested in. When we indicated we didn't want a particular feature he acknowledged and moved on to the next item for consideration. Along the way he explained all the different options and features, and made suggestions about the path we should take. In several instances this included him asking questions and then suggesting there was no need for us to spend money on a particular feature. We actually enjoyed the meeting very much, as not only was there no pressure but Greg was very personable and friendly. We had a great time with great conversation, and I left feeling confident that our system will be planned and installed well. This obviously was just the planning meeting, but I'll be sure to update my review as soon as our system is installed and we have a chance to put everything to use. But so far we are very happy to be working with Symspire for the tech features of our home. read more

We've had a terrible experience with Symspire. From the start, the service was unprofessional and disorganized. The technicians showed up late and seemed rushed to complete the job without paying attention to detail. To make matters worse, the equipment they installed either didn't work properly or stopped working within days. I contacted their customer support multiple times, but getting help was like pulling teeth. They were unresponsive and dismissive of my concerns, leaving me stuck with a system that doesn't function as promised. At least once a week we receive an error message "Check Device Power". We call and the answer is to turn it off and then back on. Or unplug it. Only to have it happen multiple times in a night. They've been to our home multiple times to fix and it happens again. Going on 5 months and still no resolution. For the amount I paid, I expected a lot more. Poor service, faulty equipment, and zero accountability. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. read more

Very, VERY slow service. Our fire alarm went off and triggered a never ending alert. When we requested them to turn off the alert - we were told it would cost ~$200 to get someone out there... two weeks later. We voiced our concerns and they shrugged it off. This company is a SCAM! They oversold us over $500 worth of wiring because they told us two cables were different... the only difference is the color and the President of the company intentionally used a bunch of tech jargon to make us believe that wasn't true. A tech told us word for word "i wish our designers didn't say things like that, we get put in such a tight spot cause they are the same". On top of that, we purchased two patch cables we weren't given. We had to use our own the day we moved in when the internet company installed our modem (yellow in photo) and then a symspire tech came out and grabbed a used, dirty one (blue cord) out of his car and installed it. We thought he was doing us a favor until I pulled up our paperwork after he left and realized we paid for 2 brand new cables we didn't receive. When I asked the PRESIDENT of the company to send us 2 new patch cables WE PAID FOR he said the tech gave you one and hung up on me. This company is a disgrace and the training comes top down. Avoid at all cost! Edit to add: we also paid for 3 outlets up high and the tunnels to hide the wires in the wall. Two of our 3 tunnels don't have the pull strings in them. We managed to get our cords through without but it was a lot harder than it should have been and another thing we paid for and didn't receive from this fraudulent company. read more

Charged $440 for mounting a TV and splicing a cable after estimating about $160. (1.5 hours) Mounting the TV took about 15 minutes, the wall mount was already installed, I assisted the tech in removing the TV from the box and bolting it to the mount. He did have to retrieve 4 bolts from his truck, 5 minutes. The cut cable was in the crawlspace, I had already discovered the location and went under the house with the tech and showed him exactly where the problem was. He did have to thread the cable back through the wall. Total time spent, about 2 hours. After my complaint, they credited 1/2 hour and told me there was no need for further discussion. Rude response. Understand now why they are reluctant to provide hard estimates in advance. Do your homework before hiring this company. read more

By far, the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The fire alarm system Did not work properly yet I was still charged monthly and they charged an additional $600 fee to come test their own system. I explained my disappointment and requested to terminate our agreement. they refused to let me leave and continued to charge me monthly. Scared that my restaurant would burn to the ground without notifying the fire department I still chose to switch to a new company..While continuing to be charged from symspire.. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The manager's name was JERRY. Symspire never once apologized or offered work with us on terminating the contract. read more

RIP OFF! They require full payment upfront, which is always a bad sign. They took my money at 200% of what others would charge, but still haven't delivered what I paid for and it's been over 30 days. No one answers the phone there and messages are not returned (I've left 3 with Jason). I live in McDaniel Farms and there's another 200 homes going up. To my neighbors - JUST SAY NO. The salesperson for Symspire has no authority after the sale and there's no one at the company who even does a follow up after installation. I will be climbing the ladder for Signature Homes as this has somewhat tainted my home buying experience. I hope they drop you Symspire! read more

Our builder contracted with Interactive Systems for the installation of cable/internet installation in our home. I've been very disappointed with the results of their work in my home and would NOT recommend them to anyone. The only compliment I can give to them is the person I met with - Greg - to set up the installation was very professional and nice. However, his counter-part - cant recall his name but he was middle eastern was the exact opposite. He came into the initial meeting to discuss installation /options and spent more time checking his phone than talking to me about options. Once I said I probably wouldn't do a lot of custom installations he left the room. The quality of their work is terrible. I had them install over a dozen cable/internet boxes in my house as well as pre-wire for in-ceiling speakers (total of 14). When AT&T came to install our cable system they said the wiring was backwards in some locations and the way they ran the cable system was poor. I recently had in-ceiling speakers installed in my living room and the contractor pointed out the at the placement for the front 3 speakers was not aligned or spaced evenly. Thankfully he was able to make it look as good as possible but it's not perfect. Save yourself the trouble and find another installation service. read more

Symspire was the company chosen by my home builder Lennar to handle all the Ethernet and cable wiring and the Ring doorbell. They installed a doorbell and it didn't work. They never tested it by pushing the button. Two of my 3 bedrooms were not wired correctly for Ethernet and Cable. In both cases the hole in the wall was made on the wrong wall. One of the bedrooms had no wires at all. They had to make a "splice" to make that on work, which resulted in degraded performance. The other bedroom had the wires (in the wrong wall) but they didn't work. They never bothered to test any of their wiring. When they finally drilled holes in the drywall on the correct wall, they left little piles of white dust on the carpet and just got up and left. They were scheduled to come out to my home 4 times, and twice they never showed up. The other time, the wrong number of people showed up or they did not have the equipment they needed. The response of the warranty dispatcher to the missed appointments was to brag that he was in the office at 4:30 AM. Hey that's great, but it doesn't solve the problem. I would not recommend using this company for anything. read more

WORSE THAN COMCAST. I am pretty sure Symspire only stays in business because home builders around town force their clients to use them. This means there is no incentive to keep their customers happy because their business is guaranteed by the builders. Their "service" department is two people and if it's after 4:30 PM, or a weekend, or they are on vacation, you are SOL. We have had nothing but issues since we started working with them. If you can ever actually get someone on the phone, they are rude and unapologetic. We wish we could go back in time and get all our AV and security from someone else, even if it means paying a premium. read more

Have had the home security about a month and no complaints. The installer was very fast, friendly and explained all the features thoroughly. Symspire is not the cheapest monthly charges by any means and best suits new homes with pre-built in wiring. One thing I like is there is no contract so you can cancel and then resume as desired. They also run install specials pretty often. But as I said so far so good. Will update this review if there's any change to this. read more

Our home was built with Ryan homes and Sympsire did the electrical work. Working with Sympspire was a nightmare. I would not let them hang Christmas lights at my house, much less wire my house for electricity. After finding an exposed 220 volt uncovered behind my oven, I called them twice Friday stating I had an emergency and they never showed up. When I called Saturday morning they were hesitant to get back with me and were not willing to send someone asap stating that it was only dangerous, if I were to touch the wire, which is not true. I have dogs, I have a small child that frequently visits my house. The danger really lied in the fact that if metal were to rub against that wire a fire would have started and there would have been a 220 volt shock, and a full metal appliance was pushed all the way up against it, not to mention the metal salt shaker that had fallen back there. Since living in this house we have had our electric short out a dishwasher and have had 4 bad breakers that have had to be fixed. read more
