GUARDIAN SYSTEMS IS ONE OF THE MOST DISHONEST AND DISREPUTABLE COMPANIES I HAVE WORKED WITH IN MY 40+ YEARS OF ADULTHOOD!! I was a customer for the better part of a decade. Upon commencing service I explained I don't engage in such one-sided contracts as theirs. We both agreed I would pay for service bi-annually. When I called to cancel in May, because I was moving, they attempted to bill me $41 for an additional month of service I didn't want and did not receive. But they have spent the past six weeks or so trying to extort $41 from me - money I do not owe them! They have informed me today they have sent this to "collections"......over $41 I do not owe them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THE SERVICE WAS MEDIOCRE, AND IN FACT THEY MOSTLY DID A POOR JOB! In 2019 I bought a doorbell camera from them and paid to have it installed by them, only for it to stop working a few years later because the y partnered with a different company, necessitating an entire replacement!!! Guardian provided top-quality products, installation, and service for us! Several technicians performed the work, they were all great - hard-working, knowledgeable, and polite. They patiently helped us learn the features of our system. Also did a fantastic job mounting our TV! Office staff is wonderful as well. Excellent experience overall. My worst experience with any alarm company. I would not recommend them to anyone. They used the equipment left by the previous own and then didn't give me a warranty and did let me know. Then they called the police on me because they didn't update my password from the previous owner. I had a problem after the power failure. Called them and was never informed that it would cost me, then I got a bill for him coming and wasn't able to resolve the issue. Then to resolve the issue was for me to purchase new equipment. This company was used by the builders who built my home. They were very uneducated and unprofessional. I requested that outlets be placed on wall so I could hang a TV with out exposed wires. They sold me the upgrade but didn't sell me the conduit to run the wires down to the floor through the wall. When i inquired about this during a home walk t hrough, suddenly I was at fault because I didn't request the specific equipment to use. I expect when I say " I want the upgrade to hang my TV on the wall without exposed wires" They would sell me the complete package not half of the package to do so. If I was an educated electrician and wiring why would I even request for the company to do the work?! I purchased a wifi hub from them. They never installed. When i inquired about it, I was told that it installed prior to the home being complete and all was well. A year later after living in the new home I built, I get a call to have this installed so they can close out the ticket... Come to find out the $400 equipment was never installed, I requested a refund, clearly its unneeded because I've gone a year without it. No refund is possible, they stopped answering calls and emails and I gave up. This company has poor sales representations, poor follow up, poor customer service, and are thieves. I have been with Guardian Systems since 2010, I signed up with them shortly after my house was broken into. They were very understanding and set up my alarm system quickly and guided me through the process. Since then I have had some upgrades, they have always been quick to take care of me. Beware - Our family used Guardian for over 15 years in our previous home. We never had any issues but frankly never used them for anything other than the monitoring. Monitoring was fine but I am guessing you can get that from any number of providers in the Nashville area. What should stand out among the myriad alarm monitoring companies is their customer service. This is my complaint. After being a loyal customer for 15 years, we sold our house and downsized to a fixer upper. I sent a cancellation letter to Guardian but the monthly charges continued. In the midst of the move, the renovations, some problems at the new house and some health problems for my wife, I failed to notice the continued automatic monthly charges. After several months, I noticed the charges and called to find out the issue. Apparently, Guardian either never received my cancellation or failed to account for it. In any event, I spoke to Justin at their office to cancel my contract and to see about getting a refund for the prior months where I was not even the owner of the house. Justin was professional but unrelenting in disallowing any refund. When I asked to speak to the owner, Justin forwarded an email of introduction to Christian Hess (Managing Partner) and Danny Campbell (Owner and President). That was two weeks ago and I have yet to hear from either of them. I followed up with separate emails of my own but sadly neither of them would take the time to even acknowledge me. After 15 years - absolutely no loyalty and not even the courtesy of a return phone call or email. Service is what stands out among the number of choices you have available in alarm companies and, for me, this was very disappointingly missing. I would beware and know that if I was treated this way after 15 years of patronage that you are just another contract and money in their pocket. All this over a measly $200 in service fees that I received no benefit from. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! We were told by our sales agent that we could cancel our policy after one year if we were not happy with the service. There were a total of three instances where our home alarm system was set off by accident by a carpenter that we hired. We did not receive a call and police did not show up. We expressed our concern but were not guaranteed. So... we tried to cancel our service. IMPOSSIBLE!!! They actually sell their customers contracts to a company called Monitronics (another nightmare in and of itself). The sales rep that we we're deceived by was fired (shocker) by the time we tried to cancel. The local manager agreed that "there is something sketchy going on" with our situation. He even said that he would contact the sales agent but that did not help our situation. We were left to pay our remaining balance or suffer credit damage. Save yourself the heartache and run away from any security system offers from Guardian Systems or Monitronics. THIS COMPANY IS A NIGHTMARE TO DEAL WITH! read more

I bought a 16 channel DVR from this company and have had nothing but a headache with the equipment and with their service. Several service calls for internet viewing problems and the DVR went out in less than a year. They have had it for a month and we still don't know anything. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! It has taken a month for this company to offer a loaner 16 channel dvd. I have been without a dvd, with the only response from this company that it is out of their control. They want to blame it on someone else when perhaps they should deal with a more reputable supplier. read more

I had a complete system installed. the installers were professional, went above and beyond. I have had some issues with equipment failures, Guardian completed the repairs in a timely manner. The monitoring system works as expected. read more
