Needed an install as soon as possible. Worked me in an Allen the technician was very attentive. Discussed the installation, discussed my options, even cleaned up when he was done. Checked several companies. After you factor in the high monitoring cost versus cheap equipment cost they all balance out to about the same. With this firm the equipment is yours, you own it and can select any monitor. Their monitoring is one of lowest. Very good experience all around. read more

I've been with NCA for at least 20 years. Initially I had ADT system, and after my contract ended I went with NCA for $9.95/month (price never changed for landline). In 2017 I decided to update for wireless dialer ($19.95/month) and got rid of landline fees. During my time as a customer I have changed out my keypad and had sensors put in my windows. I am sure I will add other services this next year. No person or company is perfect. When I have had issues, I generally have a good result. I like that I live on the West side and their office is on Charlotte Ave. I also like that NCA feels like a family run business, willing to help me out over the phone. As far as fees, well you are paying for their expertise, and your safety and security. I'm staying with NCA. :-) read more

Not sure what some folks problem is with businesses charging ACTUAL money for ACTUAL services. Not everything should be free, and if it were all included, you'd be paying 5x as much as the basic service. There are additional options AVAILABLE, but you don't have to purchase them if you don't want them. There are no contracts, and if you add a service, try it out, and don't want it, you can get it removed from your account. My wife and I priced out other options: ADT - $40-50/mo, Comcast Home Security - $40-45/mo. So why are we complaining about $19.99/mo? We bought our system that allows us to have monitored service WITHOUT a landline home phone, because I mean really, who needs a landline home phone anymore? We also added the $5 for cellphone activating, as the app is super user friendly, and we don't have to give out our personal code to people, just need to know when they are at our house, and voila!, we can let them in, and set the alarm when they leave. Super user friendly, highly recommended. And the one time the alarm did go off, we were called immediately by NCA, and minutes later, the Mount Juliet police. I have read a comment from 2011 and have to say that guy must have had a bad day. I have found NCA Alarms to be extremely helpful and responsive. I have worked with Dawn in the office on programming, monitoring, passcode changes and so on. Dawn has always been helpful and responsive. I must also say that my requests were out of the ordinary. I called on Monday to have someone come out for a service call to add some equipment. My service technician was Michael. Michael was extremely professional, friendly and courteous. I explained to Michael what I was looking for and he went right to work. Michael was able to make some good suggestions and actually provided me with additional information to help me in the future. I made a call to the office to express how helpful and professional he was. I have only mentioned two people by name, but know that everyone that answers the phone has been anxious to help in any situation. Nickel and Coin Alarms? Pro: Service technician was courteous and knowledgable. Cons: Plan to pay extra, period. Heard about monitoring that doesn't require a phone line? $149 to purchase the equipment (that they only warranty for 1 year, so you could potentially be purchasing that every year). Plus and extra 10 bucks a month for the privilege (on top of the 9.95 monthly monitoring). Want to use that smartphone to arm and disarm? Another 5 bucks a month. Want to use NCAs website to view a record of what code was entered when? ANOTHER 5 bucks a month! If you think you can scrape together 9.95 a month, you'd better save up because they draft your credit card quarterly. Don't want to use a credit card, be ready to pay more, it's actually 12.95 per month unless you can pay for a whole year the day they install it. Just need them to convert your old system? $19, even if it was there system and you never used another company. Head spinning yet? Well get this, metro requires NCA to call 2 phone numbers before dispatching police. Didn't you pay $149 in order to not have a landline? Well I hope your married or have awesome neighbors. Still think this is the best option for your business? Think again. Not only does Metro charge you the unavoidable fee of $50 per year, but NCA adds yet ANOTHER 5 bucks a month, just cause you can afford it. After all, you're a business right? It doesn't stop there. Codes says you need a smoke detector tied in.. that means $79. (Again, they only stand behind that for one year.) We opted for no smartphone app, no web recording service, and paid up front to hopefully not deal with them for another year. Over $750 in one day... Feels ironically like being robbed. read more

I am thoroughly convinced this is the most important part of system and can easily be worth whatever the cost is whether its 9.95 or 69.95. I can't believe this company doesn't have more reviews! They are hands down the most affordable alarm/monitoring company in the greater Nashville area - and I can say this because we researched ALL of them before making a decision. There are no contracts, and the basic monitoring is $19.99 per month. You can certainly add other options, and in our case we opted for the app so that we can arm/disarm/see activity on our phones. It's a very user friendly app for $5 per month more. There wasn't anything else we felt necessary, and we feel like we're getting all we need at a much better price than other companies. Everyone there is friendly and professional, and we've had excellent service over the last 5 months we've had them. We set up auto-billing, making it super easy to be sure we get the bill paid. AND they have a referral program and we've already received an account credit from someone who set up an alarm and told them we referred them! read more

Tonight's experience: I came home and forgot my pin number. This has happened once or twice before. Usually someone calls my land line from the call center, asks for my "secret phrase" to verify it's me and I'm safe, and then shuts off my alarm. Or so I thought. But tonight I forgot the code, the call came in, I gave the girl my secret phrase...and she hung up on me. I called back and got a guy who turned off the shrieking alarm but my key code pad still showed a red signal. I told him and he said "You'll have to call your local office on Monday, because it's after hours and they're closed." What?!? I went back out to my car, the alarm went off again, the call center called, I gave them my secret phrase and they shut off the alarm, all the way. The girl said brightly "So everything is fine?" I told her it most definitely wasn't fine and why. Then I hung up. So she decided to send the police to my front door in a retaliatory move. No, I'm not kidding. I assured the nice officer that everything was good, called the call center and asked to speak to a supervisor and was sent to a voice mail. I called back and said "No, I want a live supervisor right now" and got Amanda. I told her the whole sordid story and she said "I'm sorry you feel that way." Because obviously (a) this all happened in a vacuum, (b) I'm overreacting and (c) last but not least, they just don't give a crap. Searching for a new alarm company as we speak. read more

This is the worst alarm place that I have ever dealt with!!! The so call Regional Manager come in like he knows what he is doing and tell you about his long life of achievements and forget about exactly what he came out to your home to do. Tony the technician came to my home on 2 occasions and did not know what to do on either of the services. Not to say that I found him asleep in front of my home. Steve is very arrogant and thinks he knows it all but in actuality he does not. I have a long list of things they have done since I had their services. 1.) they sent me out threatening letters regarding my service when it is auto pay every three months 2) they never get the amount correct 3) they have clueless technicians that they claim are skilled. 3) my alarm system was arming itself and first he said it was the motion sensor--he changed it and still was working poorly 4) he came back out to look at it then he said it was the phone wire--he changed that and guess what it still is not working properly. Then, I called into the office and spoke with Matt the so call manager and I told him that I was very upset and he told me that he would send Steve Tucker the so call Regional Manager out and he sat in front of my home without diagnosing the problem and told me that he is going to have to contact the manufacturer...What!!! Why was that not taken care of before my appointment? that was made on last week. They are a company that I would not recommend to anyone!!! They are in-experienced and rude!!! Oh I forgot that the technician was asleep in the NCA van...I had to beat on his window to wake him up...talking about unprofessional!!! If you want in-experience, rude, and don't care about their companies than you have the right company... I hate this place and hate I invested my money into them for all of these years!!
