I got estimates from three large roofing companies and Lee Hershey, the inspector from Resilient Roofing, was by far and away the best. She actually went up onto our roof to take pictures, videos, and measurements (which she double-checked) and went into our attic and garage to examine the underside of our roof. She also brought out samples and spent the time to help me pick out the perfect match of the Owens Corning shingles for our house. Because Resilient Roofing is a large company with multiple crews they were able to get our job scheduled almost immediately. The roofing team (Hector A., Hector L, Mauricio, Jose F, Roberto, Nambo and Elias) led by Elibert and with Arturo supervising and Jose V. in the office, worked extremely hard in the heat to do an excellent job on our roof, to get the work finished on time, and they did a very thorough cleanup as well. The new roof looks great and will protect our house from both heat and rain. 10 year workmanship warranty and 50 years Owens Corning warranty. I feel this company really has their act together. I called upon Roofing Specialists (Robert), to address what appeared to be a noticeable drip down the side of my home just below the eave. It appeared to be something small and wanted to confirm this, so I turned to the pros to check this out. What appeared to be small was actually a bigger problem that was only discovered by Robert after a close examination. Cracked roof tiles allowed rainwater to drip underneath and damaged some of the wood. This, along with flashing around the chimney caused intrusions that needed repair. Everything identified was backed by actual photographs showing what was needed. After receiving the quote, work was scheduled shortly thereafter and his team arrived on time which was completed in half of a day. Throughout the repair, I receive photographs showing the problems, the work that was underway during and after it was completed. I met Billy Ray (on my roof) about 12 years ago. I have since used him half a dozen or more times…read moreon different jobs - residential and commercial. I have also referred him at least 15 times and always got positive feedback. I'm an estimate kind of girl...and also a walk on the roof with the estimator kind of girl. After walking the roof about 5 times with different companies, I settled on Old Fashion Roofing. Top to bottom he was the guy I wanted to work with. Walking through 5 estimates, you learn a lot and you start to learn what the consensus is for a quality job without unnecessary upselling. You also learn what questions to ask to really test someone's knowledge. Old Fashion Roofing was communicative at every step. I am able to communicate with Bambi through email and get quick responses. I can get ahold of Billy Ray by phone, same with Jose. On that first job, the crew did a great job. The tear off was unbelievably fast AND THE CLEAN UP that was promised actually happened. Every day. Including with magnet sweep which was very important to me because I have dogs. The install happened exactly as described when it was scheduled. Billy came back himself to walk me through maintenance I could do myself and how to keep this flat roof in good shape. He has since performed maintenance on commercial properties and repairs and replacements for me on other rental homes. Most recently, last week, Jose came out for an inspection.
