I use Eric and John on all my inspections. They do a great job. They are friendly and thorough and always available for questions. Its always necessary for someone to be thorough but not scare the client and these guys do a good job of that. They clearly detail major and minor issues. Highly recommend this team! read more

We hired this company for a 25 unit apartment building in OC. They showed up as a team, 15 minutes early, and provided a comprehensive report that saved my client thousands of dollars. I will exclusively be using & referring them moving forward. They were excellent! Thanks Eric & John, your quick report turn around time was very much appreciated. read more

Got an inspection on a home I was buying and the inspector missed a lot of issues. Signs of water damage in the kitchen and both bathrooms was not reported. Both valves for the washing machine were leaking - no note was made in the inspection report. A section of drywall was replaced in the bathroom - no mention of it in the report. When I had the inspector come back out to see what he missed, he just got agitated with me and left after calling me "worthless". What's worthless is this inspection company. Avoid them at all costs read more

Very thorough and professional home inspection! We received a detailed home inspection report the very next day. The home inspection report not only provided information of issues found during the inspection, it also provided the buyers with information of the home they are purchasing. I highly recommend Freeway Home Inspections! read more

As a first time home owner, there was a lot at stake for a home inspection and I needed to know exactly what I was getting myself into when purchasing a condo built in the 70's. So I went to my realtor and asked for a recommendation. She had recently used Eric Munhall, from Freeway Home Inspections on a different property and suggested I reach out for a quote. I called Eric and he immediately gave me a great price and dates he was available. I was able to book a time with pretty short notice which was such a relief. The day of the inspection, Eric was on time, if not a bit early. He was efficient and thorough. At the end of the inspection we had an opportunity to discuss all items of concern. The next day, he sent the full, typed report with quality photos detailing his findings. I plan to purchase another home in the near future, so I'm glad to have found someone I can trust and work with again in the future. read more

My husband and I are in the process of purchasing a new home and decided to go with our own designated Home Inspector to inspect our new home. We are so glad to have hired Freeway Home Inspections! Eric was incredibly thorough and professional. He definitely put our minds at ease with the exceptional report he provided promptly after our inspection date. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell he applied a lot of care into what he was doing for us. His inspection report came back chalked full of details and photos for us. We couldn't be happier with our decision to go with FHI! Very grateful for such a stellar job!! read more

Eric and Jon provided a home inspection on a new home my Wife and I were in the process of purchasing. First and foremost, they did an excellent job! My wife and I are engineers by trade and Eric and Jon had no problem with us following them around and asking question after question about the house as they were inspecting. They gave excellent explanations and made sure to show us each potential problem as they found them. They also helped us to keep in mind which things were major/minor/etc during the inspection. It was a bonus that they were also great guys that were fun to be around. A day later we had the very detailed inspection report/pdf in hand! It had a summary, color coded ID codes to help us prioritize, and was very well organized so that we could quickly revisit pictures of problem areas. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and can't thank them enough for their expertise in our home buying process. Will definitely be using them again if we ever need another inspection! read more

Very knowledgeable inspectors. This is the 3rd home I've purchased. I also have a strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic background but homes and California building code is way outside of my expertise. I was able to follow Eric around and he explained what he was looking for and his findings as we went through the home. We met up with the other inspector and he pointed out his relevant findings. I recapped what items were flagged and asked which ones they thought I should have done and which ones I should opt to do myself. They were very knowledgeable about current verses former codes and freely shared their expertise. Thank you very much for slowing down and answering all of my questions. read more

TEN STARS!! I have been involved in over 250 real estate transactions, which of course means about 300 home inspections, and I can honestly say that Eric is the most qualified, detail oriented, knowledgeable home inspector I have ever dealt with. He is able to find major issues and explain them realistically so that my clients are able to make the decision to move through the issues or run when appropriate. He goes WAY above and beyond, by calling in experts when he is unsure, and following up several days after his inspection to make sure everyone has the most information possible about the home they are trying to buy. If you truly want to know the good, the bad and the ugly about the home you are trying to buy, this is your guy!! read more

I can't praise them highly enough! I was on a short deadline on a mobile home inspection and they were there the next day. I had been shown an old inspection report by the owner and verbally given information but Eric and John did an incredible job of verifying whether or not everything in the house was up to standard. They found a loose wire in an outlet that had been replaced, the house did not have new dual pane windows everywhere as I was told-an older window had been covered by blinds, it was cracked and sealed shut. I had noticed things like the cover to the water heater was screwed shut but didn't know that was a code violation, knew that the steps were odd and tricky but again didn't know that was a code violation. They brought all sorts of tools including ones to check the moisture content of the walls to check for hidden moisture. I stayed with indoor inspection and they investigated/answered any concern that I brought up. Lesson learned-even if you are shown a previous inspection report- verify it yourself! Freeway Home Inspection was worth every penny and you will have peace of mind afterwards! read more

Eric is a FIRST CLASS and TOP NOTCH inspector. He is like my "SWAT TEAM" who I call when I need a thorough inspection especially when I suspect some safety issues that need to be looked at more closely. God knows how many of my clients he has saved from fires, faulty workmanship and headaches because he just goes through the property like a fine toothed comb and we could address those things before we move them in. His customer service is exemplary and he is someone you can trust as one who looks out for your best interest. read more

Thanks Eric! Quality report with all the details and pictures. Appreciated you coming back after the termite tenting to take another look! Recommend highly! read more

We hired Eric to do an inspection of our new house and were really glad we did. Eric was very flexible with his schedule, which I really appreciated since we were trying to find a time good for both realtors, the seller (and of course ourselves). He was very knowledgeable with his background in construction and answered all of our questions. The report he sent over a few days later was very helpful in addressing the code violations, etc. He and his partner used state-of the-art tools, including a drone for the tile roof. His rate has very reasonable and he didn't charge extra for the type of foundation that we had (which one of his competitors we looked into did). read more

Eric Munhall is my roof inspector. He is honest and wonderful! After I called him, he immediately scheduled the next day. After the roof inspection, he gave me the detailed explanations on what the roof's life is, what the roof quality is, what the problems and locations are, how to solve and etc. The reports came to me in the next day, yet, no doubt, wonderful! Very easy to read and understandable: not only he used questions/answers format, but also he used red ink to show the problems, very readable. He also wrote two wonderful repairing reports for me, very good. No doubt, I will hire the honest and wonderful man again. read more

Wow, these guys were amazing! They were on time, friendly, respectful, detail oriented... as good as it gets. I had wondered if a home inspector would just want to get in and out and get paid with little to show for it. They went far beyond my expectations. I got everything documented with pictures linked to the emailed document to back it up. I recommend a super service award! At the end of the inspection Eric sat down with us and answered our questions and addressed our concerns. Definitely a down to earth kinda guy. I needed that because I was nervous about the home purchase being that it was a large amount for us. Thanks guys! read more

I honestly would give them 6 stars! Eric is an amazing and detail oriented home inspector. He also has an experienced colleague, Chris, who comes to help out with pool inspections. These two really got down to work, going through many details. They are very knowledgeable and explain everything they find on site to you, so you definitely understand what is in store. They prepare you, the seller, with the information that you need to move forward in evaluating your future purchase. I appreciated their patience and their expertise with so many different home systems. I would highly recommend also because they are punctual, have a positive sense of humor when you are stressing, and totally know their stuff. I have just recently done three home inspections and this one far exceeded my expectations! Thank you to Eric and Chris for going the extra mile! I agree with the other reviews, "spot on". read more
