I am new to selvedge and Japanese fabrics. Christian answered all of my questions and walked me through the types of fabrics, dyes, cuts, mills, and stitch work that goes into a solid pair of pants. His passion for high quality clothing was refreshing; I wish more business owners took their craft as seriously and with as much care as he does. Just as an example, he traveled to a remote Irish Mill he discovered that was making wool fabrics in a way that impressed him. So he went out there to check out their work and process before bringing their products back for his shop. He worked with me for hours until we got the perfect pants for me. He must have went through a dozen pairs before he got it just right for my body type. The best part was that I never felt like I burden. It felt like he just wanted me to get into a pair of pants that I truly loved. And I ending up walking out with two pairs of pants that I can't wait to wear. I won't buy pants from anyone else.

She told me about Courtshop and that she has been religious in buying their jeans because they hold up very well. Once I found the size that fit me right, they were my most flattering pair of jeans. The free car service delivery (if you live in NYC) is AMAZING. Wow. Since many apartments in NYC don't have a doorman or secure place to leave packages, this is such a luxurious and helpful perk. I ordered the wrong size and they picked up that to exchange with a size that would fit me the next day. How amazing is that? I can't wait to wear these.

I called ahead to ensure the shop was open. Everything was clean and organized, Alex warmly greeted me when I arrived, confirmed the needed repairs, and shared the price and how long everything would take. Even though my order included 2 pairs of high boots, he was done in just an hour! I worked while I waited. As a first-time customer, normally I would have brought just 1 pair of shoes to test whether I liked the service, but luckily everything worked out. I plan to return and recommend Broadway Shoes to others. It's probably a good time to grab several shoes and take them in for seasonal repair before we switch to warm-weather options or store cold-weather options. Tips: call ahead and make an appointment; drop off shoes before noon if you want same-day service, and confirm the price and how long it will take. Alex's work definitely deserves a tip -- he apprenticed with his father and has been proudly doing this work for decades!
