I've done business with this company over 20 years, I see from the other reviews that others have bought the company. The company is now being run by a corporation that is calling themselves The Colony what a joke! I was a victim of ID fraud last year, the company agreed and sent me a letter stating that. Now they are saying that I have to prepay for any orders. When you call their Customer Service, you are calling a fulfillment center. They want me to pay for my ID Fraud? This year when I attempted to place an order under my Swiss Colony account, I could not proceed until I entered my Swiss Colony account number, which I do not have. When I called them to ask what my account number was, they would not give it to me unless I gave them MY FULL SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER! Keep in mind I do not have a credit card account with them, and they currently don't even have my SS # on file, so I asked why do you need my SS# and the rep said "Well I don't know who you are you are just a voice on the phone". Never had issues in the past with orders but I decided to get a meat and cheese box for Christmas. Arrived and when opened it was covered in mold. Clearly not new meats or cheeses. So I sent an email and the customer service was pretty rude asking if I wanted a new box or my money back. Decided to try again thinking things happen and maybe the new box would be fine. In Feb of 2019 my Mom passed away in a car accident, so I called to see what I needed to do in ordered to close her account and pay the balance. I've been ordering from Swiss colony for the last couple of years. And this year I noticed they don't have as many things and it looks like the company is not doing well. I ordered my sister a bunch of things like I do every year and I sent it to her house in her name. And I just recently got a call from her saying that she got a bill for $160 from Swiss Colony. Meanwhile I ordered everything under my name and under my account. So I called Swiss colony and explain to me a credit line was opened under her name And her address without using her Social Security or any personal information other than those two things. And they can explain how that was done. Now they're asking me for a notarized letter saying that I ordered stuff to her address into her name and the computer system that they have had a glitch and open the credit line in her name. I had a account that was charged off in dec 2 2008, now they have started to report it to the credit companies again as of March this year even tho it says it's closed on my credit report. SCAM ALERT! Long story short, they mailed me a bill for the products purchased, when I went online to pay the bill, I received multiple errors that "my account couldn't be found." So, after a call to the company telling me the same thing, I forgot about it (thought maybe I had paid in full at time of purchase and the bill was an error). Nope, received another bill, this time with late fees, when I called again I was told they would add even more fees if I paid over phone, and needed to pay online, even though AGAIN my account could not be found. So I reached out AGAIN via email to customer service, who assured me they would take care of the outstanding late fee (I had already mailed a check with balance on account), THEY DID NOT, BUT INSTEAD REPORTED ME TO CREDIT BUREAU. I've ordered a decorative cake roll before to bring to Christmas celebrations. They always looked good and I heard no complaints. This year because of medical problems I didn't do my own baking, ordering one for my own family Christmas dinner. It arrived on time, well packaged, and looked nice. (It was the chocolate cake roll with the forest creatures on the end.) But when cut into it fell apart. The chocolate outer layer fell in pieces. Got a gift box of cheese and meats from family. It arrived WARM but the package said perishable refrigerate immediately. We have no idea how long it's been not cold and we live in a warm climate. So I call to ask customer service how long it would be good for not refrigerated and they couldn't answer me. I received a Swiss Colony brochure in the mail and decided to order 3 different Christmas gifts and something for my sweetie (all petite fours, all the same price). So I called the order number, but it was too long of a wait so I decided to order online. One drawback to ordering online is you can't do multiple addresses at once. So I had to order each gift at a time. I thought it would be better though online anyway since you have to keep repeating yourself on the phone and having to spell everything. It's better when it's all typed out and the order can go through correctly. Another drawback to online ordering for me anyway was I couldn't get my free gift with my purchase. I would put the free gift code in the box but it wouldn't take. So I had to call for the last order. So I placed my order that was $18.95 (post paid shipping) for the petite fours and I gave the free gift code of 36 chocolate truffles as well. The male operator was very rude the whole time I was on the phone. He told me my purchase was 36 dollars and I said, "I don't understand, my order is only $18.95 and the truffles are free why are you quoting me 36 dollars?" He said, "Well, I combined your order and the other order you placed." "But I ordered 4 gifts total", I told him. He started arguing with me and not making any sense. He just added $18.95 twice. Why would he do this? Why didn't he just give me the grand total of everything or just give me the cost of my recent purchase over the phone and not just quote two of the gifts? It didn't make sense. So I had to ask him again "So my order that I just placed for myself is $18.95 with the free truffles, right?" And he finally said yes and said I hope you have a happy holiday in a cold tone. I discovered the joys of this holiday wonderland catalog when I was very young. It used to be tradition to have 70's styled Christmas lights decorating a folding table containing various goodies that a young child could get a sugar high off of. Included were the famous petits fours. After years of watching my mother order from the catalog I decided it was time to give gifts and what better than to keep this tradition alive! The quality of the food is always high and I have had no problems with the service as of date. The deliveries are always timely and the free gift with purchase is always appreciated. The prices are a bit steep, but the postpaid gifts are usually a good way to cut some costs. I badly wanted to support this company. I read the reviews and many complained of delivery problems. I went ahead and placed an order anyway. I received an initial notice that my order had been shipped - after that, nothing. I had to make contact with FedEx myself, three times. First I was told my order couldn't be delivered because I had not provided an apartment number. I contacted them them a second time to say the address is a single family residence. FedEx then instructed ME to send another email explaining this. Why is this my responsibility? I did send the email and received a phone call from FedEx. This time I was told my order was not delivered because it had been damaged and returned to Swiss Colony. To this day I have not received any communication from Swiss Colony. I was charged for my order along with an $11 charge for shipping and handling. Now I have to send an email to Swiss Colony to ask for a refund. I can't imagine poorer customer service. read more

If you are hoping to order one of their holiday products and expect it to be delivered by the date they promise, you might end up very disappointed. In November, I ordered two items to be delivered as Christmas gifts. One item made it but even though I checked the status on Dec. 17th and the web site advised that delivery would be made on Dec. 23rd, I later found out that they knew as early as Dec. 15th that my gift was no longer available and would not be delivered. They did not offer a replacement or provide any assistance at all. They insist they sent me a letter on December 19th (I have yet to receive this letter as of Dec 30th), and even if they did, how would that give me time to arrange for another gift to be sent in time for Christmas? II honestly wish I could give Swiss Colony a negative star rating. As expensive as their products are, I expect good quality; but that certainly wasn't the case. I just received a 1 pound bag of Swiss Colony's trail mix (i.e. a Christmas gift from a relative). I'm 100% the product I received has been sitting around since at least last year. The mix contained dried banana chips, raisins, dried apricots, various types of nuts, and maybe some other stuff. The "dried" banana chips had apparently picked up moisture from raisins and apricots; so they were no longer crispy. Also, the pecans had a noticeably rancid taste, from where the oil in them had semi-spoiled. After eating a few bites, I put the remaining trail mix in my food processor, ground it into small pieces, and tossed it in the yard for the birds to eat. In the past, I've sent Swiss Colony gifts to my family and friends; but NEVER again. read more

I order petit fours, cookies, meat sticks, cheeses, desserts, and candies every year for Christmas. My whole family is always so excited to tear into them! This year I added a Thanksgiving order since our kitchen is being remodeled and I couldn't bake the desserts, which is usually my thing to bring. The apple filled sugar cookies were a huge hit! If you're on the fence about the spiced pumpkins, swing that leg over and jump! I got the box of 24 and they were devoured. As usual, the petit fours and holiday cookies were amazing! The kids love to get the meat sticks in their stockings, and my husband loves the cheese spreads. People who don't order frequently like to complain about the prices, but this is Swiss Colony, this is top quality stuff, and they haven't changed flavors or their top-notch quality since I was a little girl. Do not order from this company. I always pay when I order from a company. They discouraged me and sent a bill. Well this was a gift at Christmas and I didn't think about it. The bill did not come. Then I got a bill for an additional 30 dollars for late fees and interest. I called the company and explained I never received the bill and will pay the full price of the original charge.
