We ordered from Swiss Colony this year to make Thanksgiving extra special for the kids. We got a huge assortment, I believe the largest assortment they had. Our family absolutely loved it! The variety was great, the sizes of snacks I felt were perfect. They are on the small side but that's great when there is so much variety and you want to taste a little bit of everything. Do not order from here. I placed a simple order 10 days before Christmas for my dad. It was cashews and chocolate covered pretzels. Well a breakfast lit and candy was delivered. Not even close to what I ordered. I called and they offered to send my order again. Only the cashews were now sold out... awesome. I got mixed nuts instead. And the order was now slated for after Christmas. Well for a second time the order was wrong. Got the nuts but they sent chocolate turtles instead. Very frustrating company to go business with. I can't believe this experience, it is the second year I tried to place an order on line and after all the sign and blah blah, when I wanted to check out it asked me to call the 1800 number, I did, the first call had an interference and the lady didn't have the patience to listen, I give a try and I called again, thankfully I have a better customer service, and she took all my order, again, the web site order was a wasting of time. This is my first and last time ordering from this company. I placed 2 orders on 2 separate days. Somehow the second order is arriving before the first order I placed. To top it off I have to wait on hold at least an hour each time I call customer service to check the status on my first order, just to be told some information is "missing" which has delayed my shipment. I provide the missing information then the next day there is more information "missing". I will never order from them again, my original order still hasn't shipped and I'm pretty sure my original order will arrive after Christmas. I would not recommend Swiss Colony to anyone. I have a line of credit with them and as soon as I pay my bill I'll be closing my account. At least twice I've ordered food items online and they've arrived badly damaged, not even packaged in sturdy boxes, with the contents ripped and torn. I took one last chance recently and ordered a tin of assorted sausage logs, cheese, candy etc. I opened up a cheddar cheese log and saw it was covered in what looks like black mold (see pic below). I promptly threw the whole tin out. I then attempted to leave a review with the pic on their site but was informed via email that it didn't meet their standards so it wasn't going to be published. What that means is they don't want their customers seeing what's actually being sold. I'd advise people to stay away from them. read more

There was a package on my porch last night, it was delivered to the wrong address, so I called the company to let them know. The first person I talked to told me to go delivery it myself and that they would call and tell the people to come to my home to pick it up. Never even asked me how far I lived from the correct address. The post office had already told me, and I explained to the company, that I would have to drop it off but I work and leave after it closes. The 2nd person told me she would call the person that ordered it and ask if they wanted to reorder. I'm leaving the package by my mailbox with a note but they wont pick up anything not in the box. I was very upset with my order. I placed an order to get the items ASAP as they were a gift for Christmas. I received the items that I ordered prior to Christmas, but the other items that I ordered for my in-laws were initially set to deliver after Christmas. I contacted customer service department prior to my order being sent out and was told that both "sets" would then be delivered to my home address. Since one set was being delivered prior to Christmas, one would think that they both would be! A week after I placed the order and the second "set", the ones that were supposed to be a gift for my in-laws, still had not left Wisconsin! So customer service said that I need to take the items to donate and get proof to refund me. Nice idea, however the only place to accept it is over a half hour away! I've been a customer with Swiss colony for the past 10 years. Last April of 2022 they credited my wife's CLOSED account with my payment instead of mine. Then they reported me to the credit agency that I was past due do for 30 days. I called them and they finally admitted the error on their part but never corrected my past due comment to the credit agency. They still show me as 30 days late for April even though the bill was paid off in May of 2022. Its a shame because I enjoyed their products and delivery however I won't be using this company for further purchase. read more

I placed an order on Dec 7 for $150 worth of Christmas gifts. I received a confirmation email on the 11th, then via mail, they let me know on Dec 22 that there was a problem with my order. In order to still get my order delivered by Christmas, they said that they needed an additional $25. I've been a customer for over 15 years was was treated poorly by three separate people there. However, when I asked for a refund, they refused!! they told me to call FEDEX, like it was just MY problem. This review is for their website and customer service, or lack of service. For the past couple of years, I looked forward to receiving my Swiss Colony catalog in the mail and ordering their Butter Toffee. Honestly, it's the only thing I would order because it's that darn good. Their S&H is a bit pricey, but well worth it for the quality of their items. I was signed up to their Credit program, so you can order your items and pay through a payment plan. I'd usually get this out of the way a few weeks after the order arrived, and then not think about them until the following Christmas. So when I received my catalog in November, I jumped on the chance to order. I placed it in mid November with a delivery date of December 17th. I then forgot about it until December 20th when I noticed I didn't get my item. I checked on their website and the status showed that it wasn't delivered and my account was going through a credit review. Huh? I didn't receive any heads up or notification on this! And we're talking about $40 here. I went ahead and sent an e-mail to which I got a stiff response to call. No acknowledgement of my order whatsoever. For the past month they've sat on my order, didn't ship it out, said it was under credit review, and failed to contact me. I'm ending my relationship with them as we speak. It's sad that such a good product is ruined by their shitty lack of communication. Never again. read more

My wife had ordered from Swiss Colony a number of times in the past. She had not ordered from them for about the last six years. But these past holidays (Christmas 2018), she decided to order from them again. We ordered by debit card on December 20th, and received the assortment on December 22nd (great shipping). We opened the box immediately. To our disappointment, the cheeses had mold on them that appeared to have been there for some time. We sliced the meat and ate some...tasted terrible. My wife threw the whole thing out! We contacted Swiss Colony, and they can't seem to locate our order, our name, our address, or anything. I'm very disappointed with this company, I am on a fixed income and when I got their catalog in the mail that I could order and make monthly payments I figured this would be a good idea for Christmas gifts so I placed my order Got my emails saying thank you and my order will be placed shipped before Christmas I was excited. It took me a while to write this review. I wanted to believe in this company because my mother used to order from them when I was little and I wanted to do the same with my kids. I placed an order the first week of December for their 43 season pleaser Assortment (with free chocolate). I waited and waited (never got a tracking number). The email did have an option to track shipment but when I clicked on it, the link never worked. Finally after 2 weeks I got a delivery but not for my order, it was for the free chocolate! I inquired about it and they said my items were delivered. I couldn't believe it. I contacted customer service and they told me the same thing. They offered to reship, which they did and I told them I needed it by Christmas, which I got 2 days before. I have to say, I was so disappointed!! I should have read the reviews first because I never would have placed an order. I noticed right away that the box said perishable, refrigerate at once. I couldn't believe it. This shipment took over a week to get to me, if not more and was not refrigerated. I couldn't eat anything. It smelled funny and the cookies which are in the picture, tasted funny. They are really tiny! Nothing like what the website portrays. Sadly I won't be ordering again. I am including some pictures with this review. I was sent 2 different boxes of Petit fours & 2 different boxes of Bonbons for Valentine's Day by my spouse; and I honestly wouldn't feed these to my worst enemy. On top of being extremely stale all 4 items carried the same cheap white candy coating flavor. The Bananas Foster Bonbons I was sent were like putting a whole bottle of imitation banana flavoring in your mouth. All of these nasty things they call treats are roughly the size of a nickel. I had 1 of each flavor as in 1 from each box to see if they were all just as bad as the 1st and now this morning my stomach is killing me. Wish I had looked at the reviews before ordering! Ordered a large box of cheeses, sausage, cookies etc for my HQ team. They sent the box to the billing address (mine) instead of the shipping address (my office in another state). The customer service person tried to tell me I had made a mistake online. After I did not relent, she agreed to send another order to my company! It was to arrive by Christmas but the RE-order won't arrive until Friday Dec 28th!!!! No mention of this shipping BS while we were on the phone, just once I go to track the package. Customer Service then says I cant send the other box back to them, that I have to donate & receive a donation document & then they will reimburse me. I ordered some items for Christmas from this company online. I realized right after I put the order in that I had put the wrong delivery address. I called immediately but they were closed. I then emailed right away and asked for a response early morning on 12/4/22. I didn't receive a response so I called again a few days later. They said it had already been sent. It was to arrive the 12th or 13th. I received a receipt but no package on the 15th. I have a Ring doorbell so I know it wasn't stolen. I called again and talked to a supervisor, Arlene, who said she would send a replacement order to the correct address . It was to arrive at the correct address on 12/23/22. It arrived at my address and consequently I had to pay shipping for it to get here and then again to ship it to the correct address. And the package was late of course. I will never order from them even though the product is fine. The conversations we had were very terse. After contacting the credit card company who has no record of a decline and said there would be no reason it was declined, called Swiss Colony. Now I can get my product, with a $25 shipping fee. Oops - not in stock. They mailed the notice because the don't have my email (umm .. the order confirmation emailed). Absolutely terrible customer service. Do NOT order from Swiss Colony or any of their companies. We spent nearly $17,000 on corporate gifts this year (as well as another $17,000 last year) and it has been a nightmare filled with so many issues. The customer service reps were never able to tell me if our payment cleared and when it cleared. After spending countless hours on the phone with customer service, I finally just went directly to our to our finance team for them to tell me. I have now been waiting three weeks for a reciept which is impacts our ability to complete our business duties like submitting our credit card statements. I was also reassured many times that our items would ship to align with our targeted delivery date that we placed on the order form, but the items have started to deliver over a week earlier than we requested. This is a problem because we had sent a letter to all employees letting them know of the targeted delivery date, which ended up not being correct. We had also been told that there would be a card with the gift messaging (like there was last year) but the gift messaging ended up being on the shipping label. These are just a few of the issues we are experiencing. I am afraid for what to expect once I actually see the gift that was delivered. NEVER AGAIN !! Last November, needing a stocking stuffer, I foolishly ordered a set off mini-flashlights (they were the cheapest item in the catalog, because: have you seen their prices ? OUTRAGEOUS !), figuring I'd at least get the free box of chocolates that came with any order over 10.00. I placed my order way in advance of a "guaranteed before Christmas delivery." Didn't happen . . got 'em in January . . and NO free box of chocolates. I contacted them repeated times about it, but they ghosted me. Then last month, I wrote again - this time FIRMLY. They finally sent me an email saying the chocolates would be shipping FedX and I'd get them in a week. (A week for FedX ??) Then came another email, night before last @ 7:30 saying they had arrived at 1:30 that afternoon, with a bogus picture of a box on a sidewalk - CLEARLY not my doorstep. C'mon, man !! No way - nothing was delivered - and why did they tell me hours after 'delIvery' ?! I tried to fill out a complaint form on line, but no luck - the "app" or whatever didn't work. I ordered New Years gifts from this company for my business partners, typed in FIVE different addresses on the site for them to be delivered to along with notes to all of them. THEY WERE DELIVERED TO MY DOORSTEP. That was not how they were ordered. They are refusing to give me my money back. Now they want me to donate the items to a food bank and reorder AT MY EXPENSE. I will not be going anywhere during COVID19. That was the whole point of having things delivered to people individually. Do not ever order from this company. They are treating me like I'm some kind of idiot. I did spend 30 minutes looking up addresses, writing individual notes to have them delivered here. They get one star b/c the order got delivered. That's it. First delivery was allegedly only outside for a short time but the cheese was very soft and everything was warm. Asked for re-delivery of perishable items, got email that would be delivered soon with tracking number. The link I was given to track was down, I called Customer Svc and they couldn't give me any info but said would call back with more info. No call back. Found cheese and pie slices at 5 pm. Luckily still cool. Asked why not sent on dry ice like other companies, was told they did that with large items like hams and turkeys. So if you don't spend a lot of money they don't care. Told the person who gifted us this to NEVER send SC products again. I have now spent over an hour trying to make sure this gift is safe to eat and I'll have to spend more time tracking the last item. Beware of The Swiss Colony shipping. I purchased a jacket on November 27 for a Christmas gift for my sister. The jacket was in stock and shipped on November 28. The estimated delivery date is January 4. They charge you an expensive shipping charge and then sometimes use an alternate shipping company known for taking an excessive amount of time to ship products. And that's if the alternate shipping company doesn't completely lose your package during shipment. read more
