I work at a nearby hospital and our department has been a fan of Swing Thai for four years now. They deliver on weekends and their food is always consistent. Not the best Thai you're gonna get in Denver but pretty dang good. We have tried the Pad Thai, Pad Kra Pow, Massamum Curry, Fried Rice and few other dishes. Every one of them has been good. I've been going here for years, and always came out as a happy customer. The atmosphere is great (it has this mix of modern American-and this taste of Thailand to it, which is really nice) and the service of the people who work there are really top notch! They are very friendly and good people who would like to serve you what they have to offer. The food of course is great! Though it is a bit "commercialized", I still do enjoy the food prepared by them. It still has this authentic taste to the food. Their Pad Thai is excellent and a must try! The taste is really different compared to some other restaurants (a little more sweeter and pleasing) and it's not as greasy! I went there today with my wife. The girl that served us is fucking rude. And don't know how to respect. After I pay I forgot to pay tips. So the girl came out to my car. And ask for the tips. I was going to give her. But the way she speak Is rude and don't have any respect for the customer. So I decided not to give her tips. FOOD IS GOOD, SERVICE IS SUB-PAR Ate here on a Friday night. Wasnt even that busy but took 10 minutes after i sat down to get attended too. Also there was no air condintioning it was very hot. Finally when my food came, I had to ask for a fork and napkin because they never gave me one. They brought out a plastic fork, and said the dish washer is currently running all the metal ones. And considering this is the 4th city in the US in which I have been a resident, as well as a globe trotting traveler, that is saying a lot. The Swing Special with cashews and garlic sauce is very delicious. And don't miss the green curry, absolutely great. Most non-noodle dishes come with your choice of brown or white rice. Don't miss the mango with sticky rice when in season. The warm rice is dressed with coconut sauce, while the chilled mango is soft and sweet. Delicious! Everyone I have taken there loves the food. They never seem too busy, so it is easy to get a table. Swing Thai - Puffer fish! - Thai Near Me - Denver, Colorado

My name is Doug and I am have been in the same love-hate relationship with this branch of Swing Thai for over ten years. I need help. It's close to our house, and my family loves Thai takeout, so we're there ALL THE TIME. And yet they treat us like dogs, not customers. I just don't understand where all this hostility towards us stems from, but here's some of the bizarre stuff that's happened to me over the years at Swing Thai: (1) They tried to have my car towed from their lot after I ordered dinner there and then ran across the street to Chipotle to pick up a burrito for my child who didn't feel like Thai; (2) They don't let my daughter order the kids meal because she's over 12, even though the rest of us are ordering multiple entrees. (And, after I pointed out that ordering the satay appetizer and a side of noodles, which constitutes the kids meal, is basically the same price, the waitress said that she would have to charge me extra for the peanut sauce.) My daughter refuses to eat-in anymore. (3) I once got to the takeout counter and realized I forgot to bring my wallet but the cashier would not accept payment by the credit card number that I have memorized. But absurdly she would have accepted the credit card payment if I had given it to her over the phone, so I offered to call her from my mobile phone and give her the number as I was standing there. She scowled at me and snapped at a coworker who was trying to take my side. I shouldn't have had to point out to her that I am not a credit card fraudster but a regular customer who has spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the years at Swing Thai. (4) Shortly after the spat about the kids meal item, I passive-aggressively ordered it for takeout (hah, take that!) and upon opening the box we found a plastic tape dispenser mixed in with the noodles (stick that in your pie hole!). At some points we get so fed up, we order from the Swing Thai on Colorado or the Thai Monkey Club for a while. But like some classic abused enabler, we inevitably keep coming back to their convenient location for the delicious pad thai and green curry. I even leave 5-star Yelp reviews when they really deserve 1-star, and let's-make-up tips for the take-out, like some pathetic puppy dog with its tail between its legs. I am hoping that this much needed Yelp therapy will either reconcile me to my love of Swing Thai or to finally allow me to rid myself of this abusive relationship. read more

I'm a creature of habit so I always tend to order the same thing when I'm at Swing Thai - coconut curry soup with tofu and spring rolls. Very good. However, my sister, who is apparently an expert on drunken noodles, said hers pretty much sucked (she ended up drowning her tofu in soy sauce). The service is fantastic, very gracious and attentive. Last night when we stepped in it looked like something had caught fire? Room was full of smoke. I will always be back, of course. And I do like this better than Pei-Wei. Just sayin. read more

Best pad Thai I've had! I've just recently started eating pad Thai but now I find myself ordering it at every restaurant that offers it. As of yet I have failed to find a place that can rival swing Thais pad Thai! The flavor is always consistent so you know what you're getting. My friend got the coconut soup, I wasn't a big fan but that's just me. The Thai iced tea is delicious as well! Some places brew the tea too long causing it to have a real weird after taste, swing Thai makes it perfect with just the right amount of sweetness. When I'm in the area this is my go to! read more

let me tell you a little story of my lunch at swing thai: so. we really wanted cava greens, but they weren't open for some strange reason, so we decided to hit up swing thai. to start, thai food always slightly confuses me, and i really had no idea what to order. i picked the thai iced tea (DELICIOUS) and the barbeque chicken something or another. they brought out two sauces, my friend's dish, and a pile of brown rice. as in i thought i wasn't getting any chicken after all, and as thai food already confuses me, this was the icing on the cake. HOWEVER they brought out HALF OF A CHICKEN for me to eat, on the bone, and it was delicious. just really really difficult to eat. the sauces were amazing though, and as christina pointed out, the bone factor forced me to not eat at light speed, so i guess i can appreciate that. a few stars off though for the unattentive service. we sat at the table waiting for our bill forever, and then once we had it, he didn't come back for it, making me assume we went up to the front, but you don't. you wait for a random waitress to take your bill whilst sipping tea to look as casual as possible. overall. good food, probably not as confusing for thai food pros, which balances out the service factor. Swing Thai is a great name for this restaurant because the flavors swing back and forth between edible and barf burgers. On the edible side, they make a decent som tum (green papaya salad) and a very okay (verging on lackluster) drunken noodle. On the barf burgers side is their jungle curry. This dish is bad news - extremely runny broth and very little flavor other than heat. Their options are minimal and some of their flavors are not even inspired by the Thai cuisine. 25.00 bowl of sht soup. Yeah, I spent 25.00 on lunch there and only got a bowl of soup. Ordered Chicken Pad Thai and they put Shrimp on it. Got back to the office and found out then. Really, this place is just solid. I can't say enough about their thai bbq chicken. It's such an easy go to for a quick dinner. Plus the sauce that they provide is excellent! Try the Kaw Soy - it is an unusual and DELICIOUS option that you don't see on many thai food menus. Terrible Thai that is overpriced with tiny portions. One would assume that it had better be damn good when they give you a teacup size of curry and a miniature ball of rice as a dinner portion, but not the case here. I just assume go to Tommy Thai's where the portions are similarly inadequate, but at least a bit more reasonably priced and tastier. read more

It's clean and classy, but the portions are small and it just doesn't taste very authentic. Not that I really know authentic, but I've eaten a lot of Thai food coming from SF as it's my favorite cuisine, and I just wish this place was better than it actually is.
