    a space themed cake
    Evelyn N.

I ordered a marble cake with raspberry filling for my husband's 40th birthday party and it was a hit. The flavors were amazing and the decor didn't go unnoticed. All the guests were in love with the space theme cake. The service was great and the owner of the shop was very sweet. I definitely recommend this place and will come back for more.

    My husbands Vasectomy Cake!

I saw amazing reviews and the work of these cakes online and decided to give them a try to make a cake celebrating my husband's vasectomy. I sent over a few examples from Pinterest and gave creative control to the staff. They were professional responded fast via email, and did a wonderful job. The cake was delicious and moist although I do wish the icing was a bit sweeter overall it was wonderful. I will be purchasing any specialty cakes from here on from Sweetland Cakery.

She even brought mini scissors for us to cut the ribbon on the cake!

I had the best experience with Tandis at Sweetland Cakery. I ordered a cake to feed 500 for a grand opening event that I was planning. She helped me to design a custom 3D cake that wow'd the entire 1,000 guests plus the President and owner. Not only was it absolutely breathtaking, but also very tasty. The cake was moist, rich in taste and extremely detailed. Tandis is a perfectionist and it shows in her work. She was timely, and under promised but over delivered with the quality. The picture does it no justice. The cake was a showstopper. She even suprised me with adding a rotating feature to the vehicle at the top. It spun 360 degrees the entire event. Tandis was very pleasant to work with. She made my vision, reality. Tandis is by far one of the best in the industry. Can't wait until my next event!

My boyfriend surprised me and got my Brand logo on the cake. The customer service was outstanding. I asked if she could add a little more detailing and everything turned out perfect. I will definitely be coming back for my decorated theme cake. I had the lemon flavor with vanilla buttercream. Thanks again Tandice

I have requested quotes for a custom cake from a dozen different bakeries that I'll be needing in 2 weeks time. A lot of them are either fully booked or crazy expensive. There's one that's less expensive but seemed to good to be true so I went with Sweetland and it did not disappoint. Birthday girl was happy. Tandis is also so wonderful and easy to work with. Will definitely order from her again in the future for custom cakes!

My family and I love this place! Tandis really know what she is doing there. I took a chance on them in December of 2019 and wow, my wife's cake came out better than I thought it would and tasted amazing (lemon). We decided to order again from there again for my sons birthday party in February 2020 and everyone loved the cake (top/lemon & bottom strawberry). The strawberry was a little extra and was worth it. We stay over 1 hour away from this location, but we found our fakery for our events. It is worth the drive because we know Tandis will exceed our expectations!

Sweet land cakery worked with me to get a cake within my budget. The cake was equally as delicious as it was beautiful. All the guests raved about how they expected the cake to be mediocre because it was so beautiful, but instead they were pleasantly surprised to find the cake delicious, moist and not overly sweet. The detail and work on the cake was exceptional. They were so nice to work with. I would highly recommend Sweetland Cakery for anyone looking for a cake to make their celebration extra special!

    a harry potter birthday cake

I wanted to do something different for my wife's birthday, she is a big Harry Potter fan so I decided to get her a themed cake. I looked on google and yelp and instantly knew that Sweetland Cakery had the best craftsmanship. I emailed her my thoughts and she was very patient with my requests and explained the whole process to me. The cake was everything we expected and more, my wife loved the surprise. Thank you so much for making her birthday more memorable!

I absolutely loved my daughters cake!!! It was exactly like the picture provided and it was delicious! My daughters favorite part of the cake was the rainbow topper which was absolutely perfect! I loved the fact that she was able to have this cake ready on a Sunday which a lot of places don't do because they are closed. I will definitely be using this bakery for my future cake needs!!

    Vanilla cake with strawberry filling

I was looking for a bakery to make a cake for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. I found Sweetland on Yelp and thought I would give them a try. I was NOT disappointed. The cake was beautiful, just as I asked, and tasted delicious. The cake was a hit and my boyfriend was so surprised and excited. Thank you so much!

French style baguettes are perfect. The only problem is the pastries suffer from humidity of Houston and if not eaten fresh they can get soggy and lose their texture. So not cheap but the flavor and presentation was nice. It's a must try in Houston. They do not suffer from a lack of business. So lines can be long. They are efficient however!! Bon appetit

Inside you will also find French pastries, coffees and teas, gelato, milkshakes, sandwiches and macaroons. I felt the most interesting items were the French pastries as they are cute and tasty as well. Also, they plate the pastries nicely when you dine in as an added bonus. I tried the Chocolate Royale and the Ruby. Chocolate Royale - a petit chocolate mouse slice with flat chocolate panels along the sides. It is delicate and tasty. If you're a chocolate lover, this is definitely up your alley. Ruby - visually this looks like a strawberry Hershey kiss, with red powder on the exterior and a top piece of foil to resemble foil on the wrapper of a hershey kiss. Inside, it's filled with a strawberry cream and has a chocolate base. I just wish there was more chocolate in this one. They have plenty of seating inside as well as along the sidewalk. Inside you have the more fancy tables, whereas outside, they're more weather resistant and not as upscale in appearance. The soft drinks to drink along with your sweets are in a cold case along the hotel side of the space and you just take them to the register as you order. One of the most surprising things when you come here are the relatively affordable prices as you might expect them to be more for being a coffee shop attached to a 5-star hotel with a helipad.

I also heard great things about the mango mochi so we couldn't leave without those. Thankfully they still had some in stock. I heard they sell out quickly especially on weekends. Those also lived up to its hype. SO YUMMY! Tastes so fresh including the mangoes. My kiddo who LOVES mango anything loved them so much! My husband also got 2 savory pastries (I forgot what they were called and I forgot to take a picture) and those were yummy too. Perfectly flakey crust just like the egg tarts. We wanted to get sesame balls but they were sold out. Customer service was great. The guy that took our order was very nice. It was pretty busy but he moved through the line quickly. There's some seating inside if you want to eat there. Prices are very reasonable at $2 each for the mochi and egg tarts. The savory pastries were $3. It's located in a shared lot/area. Parking can be tight and limited on a busy weekend day but they have parking right out front for the Eck bakery customers. Also note that if you pay with card it's a 2.5% charge so cash is better if you have it. We didn't but we know now for future. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back.
