I was intrigued and stepped inside to find a delightful interior and the friendliest employees. This spot has now become a regular stop for me. The rotating menu of flavors, as well as their gluten free, dairy free and vegan options (which are delicious!) make it an inclusive option. I love how natural the fruit flavors, like the strawberry truffle, are. One of my favorites is the fleur de sel which has that perfect saltiness to its chocolate base. Nestled in the heart of Rice Village, they remind me of my time back in NYC where I saw mini cupcakes all over the city (#1). Over the last dozen years, they've made quite the name for themselves here in Houston. The shop is small and thus the takeout game is where it's at. I would recommend calling ahead of time to book or ordering directly from their website for pickup. The cupcakes that standout for me are their carrot cake, vanilla bean, and hummingbird (sweet bananas with pineapple and cream cheese). The raspberry linzer bars, lemon bars, and brownies are underrated and deserve a lot of shine in their own right. While foodflation is in full effect everywhere, it's especially felt here. At $55 for a dozen cupcakes and $30 for the minis, my wallet hurts every time I walk out of here. Thankfully the service is quite good and the parking is usually not too full despite only having a handful of spaces. Their mini cupcakes are a nice changeup from the regular cupcakes, but even the latter feels a bit smaller than the pseudo baseball sized standards. All in all, this is a good bakery and a quality cupcake destination. A hidden gem inside Rice Village. I decided to come to Celebrity again cause it was super close by and one of my coworkers was celebrating a birthday. Thought a dozen mini cupcakes would be a nice surprise for everyone! I came on a random weekday morning and there was no one here - the display cases were full of large normal size cupcakes; with racks of fresh cupcakes behind the counter (both full sized and minis)! When you order, they grab from the trays instead of the display to ensure you get some of the freshest ones! I told the lady to select a variety of a dozen minis for me and I purchased 2 large cupcakes and a rice crispy treat for myself! Yum!! That rice crispy treat was exactly what I wanted! I tried one of the mini cupcakes and the chocolate was moist and the frosting soft! Very flavorful and delicious! The carrot cake cupcake was delicious - lots of nuts, not too sweet, and super moist! I didn't eat the raspberry lemon one until a day later and it stayed fresh, in the box in room temp, and was delicious the next day! I enjoyed these way more than the Crave cupcakes cause I think they're way more moist and a lot more flavorful! The coworkers agreed and enjoyed these a lot better than Crave and Sprinkles as well! Although this place is a trip into town from Cypress, I made sure I got my cupcake fix. Red velet is their most popular, so I definitely ordered two. Banana and Vanilla bean. They were all my flavorite. My daughter and I shared the banana flavor cupcake for the first time and surprisedly it was really good. We are not a banana person, but it was so moist and the cream cheese frosting had a nice touch to it. We also ordered the mini smores. I'm really not that big on cupcakes, mostly because I feel like super-sweet frosting is used to make up for a cake below that is unexceptional... HOWEVER! When I walked in to pick up a last minute batch of mini cupcakes I ordered the day before for a small celebration for my 5-year old daughter, I was immediately drawn to all of the fruit-based cupcakes and the ones with lavender frosting. I got a mini 4-pack for myself in addition to my order, and WOW. I think the lavender frosting on grapefruit cupcake was my favorite of them all. The frosting was not overly sweet, and it was light and fluffy, not a dense paste of buttercream. The cake itself was moist, and the small bit of filling gave it a pleasant grapefruit edge to finish the whole couple of bites off. Everyone there was very kind, and the shop is really cute. Parking is a bit tight, but since people are mostly coming in and out all the time, it is manageable. They handed me all of the cupcakes I bought in the mini 4-pack directly off of the trays they had cooked them on. The pricing on these cupcakes feels right. I will definitely come back, but I probably wouldn't bother with Crave or Sprinkles, for comparison. Despite their small and relaxing outdoor patio, Celebrity's cupcakes was just not my cup of tea. All the cupcakes were aesthetically nice. But, for me, they were entirely too sweet. I had the red velvet cupcake, which was itself moist enough. But, that huge mound of sugar frosting on top was cavity sweet. To balance it out, I just mixed the top icing part with the cake. This made it less sweet, but it was still sweeter than I'd like. Now, if you're a huge sweet tooth and like your desserts super sweet, this spot is definitely for you. read more

Cupcakes are delicious. There is no denying that but they need to do something about the gnats in the case. Its disgusting! I never even noticed because I always get the mini cupcakes because I like variety. But this weekend I was bragging on how good they were to a friend and we stopped in while shopping. She refused to get anything and pointed out the gnats in the case. There were so many it was so obvious. Also about the minis... the obnoxiously enthusiastic girl that working on the weekend always says and I quote "They come in set of four which four would you like?" But the menu clearly says that one mini cupcake is $2 and comes without a box. I was drawn to this cupcake store because of the pictures!! The way they squeeze the frosting on top of the cupcake is so cute!!!! I came yesterday and parking was easy to find. The shop seems small, but with a open design, it looked big! There wasn't too much flavors, but there were a few unique ones like banana and strawberry. I ordered the strawberry and my boyfriend got the red velvet. Each cupcake was $3.75, which is kind of pricey for a small cupcake (smaller than sprinkles/crave). The red velvet was moist. Well... I picked 3 dozen mini cupcakes today and I wished I was informed that the support is not as secure as you would buy the regular size. I was shit out of luck because the middle portion was not securing the cupcakes and so whenever the box moves ever so slightly, it would tip over. Anyway, I was shocked to see how discombobulated the cupcakes were upon opening it. It didn't survive the drive. Spoke with manager to see if they can redecorate it, but Unfortunately 1) it's not sanitary (which I understand 2) they just wont do it. and was told I "oh well, sorry" so I'm screwed. I was also blamed that I hit a bump and was accused of everything else because "this never happens to us". And to be clear, I drove smoothly on my way home. I've been back to Celebrity and had a dozen brought to me by a family member. Unfortunately, I have to reduce my original rating of 4 stars down to 3. The thick (cream cheese?) icing on another cupcake was so gross I had to spit it out. The building is still adorable. The place is very small but very cute. The lady behind the counter may need to stick to just making the cupcakes. It felt like veiled hostility when I was there. I do have to say that I like Sprinkles a LOT more. It's not because they are new, I just really like their red velvet and black&white cupcakes. I think cupcakes are one of those things that appeal very differently to different people.
