Five-star details: 1. Outstanding Communications. Melissa is always available, including by phone, text, and email. She does what she says she is going to do. We've spoken on the phone & Melissa has a great app which gives you updates and photos of your pet! 2. Genuine Caring. On our most recent trip, the weather got cold. Melissa's team members worked with us to turn on our well heater, ensure our pup was kept warm and cozy, and gave us detailed updates and photos. 3. Going Above & Beyond. Melissa called me about the cold weather to alert us in case we didn't know it was going to be below freezing and to ensure our pet was fully taken care of. Her team actually plays with your pet, spends real quality time, and ensures your pet feels loved. They brought our dog extra treats which was incredibly thoughtful because our dog is a senior citizen - and they actually know about dogs so they brought treats that are great for his health as well as being yummy!

We have full confidence that our cat (and our house) are in good hands while we are away. As a bonus, our cat LOVES all of the sitters ;)

An important message that I sent was missed, which led to my cat's waste collecting over a period of days in the tub, and with my cat eventually peeing on my bed (he is beyond hygienic and selective with where he goes to the bathroom). Even with the missed message, I would think their noses would lead them to the tub? It absolutely stank when I got home (there was also dried cat vomit in the bathroom - I just live in a studio). And I then had to spend hours washing everything on my bed, getting Urine Destroyer, etc... really not ideal after getting home from a trip. This is in addition to lights being left on, pill pocket pack not sealed after use, and litter and garbage preferences not followed. Also, I would have preferred they contacted me when my cat decided not to eat his medicine the first day, than to decide how to handle it on their own, although their idea wasn't a bad one. They are perfectly nice people but I would say that if your cat requires anything beyond basic care (throw food in a bowl and scoop box), look elsewhere. Details and communication are important. I communicated some of this to the company and they offered me a free visit in the future, which I thought was a bit presumptuous. They did play with him and actually spend time with him (instead of feeding and dashing), which is something I do appreciate.

They left our Patio balcony door- we live on the third floor in an apartment WIDE open with our cat who can clearly open the screen door that was slightly open. That is SO dangerous. We have a ragdoll who don't have much reflexes and he could fall and die from such a height, or even escape or jump out and seriously injure himself. They left the door open and left the keys inside with no way to get back in while we were on vacation. Then we got one text saying they left this door open and we were shocked when we checked our pet camera. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. The only apology we got from this horrendous accident was "i apologize." She didn't call once, and if we hadn't seen this text message promptly i feel as though she wouldn't even have cared and went on their day. DO NOT TRUST YOUR BELOVED PET WITH THESE PEOPLE. You've been warned!!! This was over memorial day weekend and nobody was even in the leasing office to help which is super scary. They LOVE their Auntie Catherine. She knows medicines and can give. She once stayed at our house with a dog that got ill that day while we were gone, until 11pm. We have used her service for 14 years. She rescues all kinds of animals including a donkey at her nearby farm. Very awesome person, we're lucky to have her, but our furr (and scale) babies are the really lucky ones.

What I like best about Sleepover Rover is that they find you a dog-sitter according to your dog's behaviour and habits. They give you a choice of whether you want an in-house dog sitter, or if you would like your pet to stay with someone at their house. I thought it would be impossible to find a sitter for my very high-maintenance, difficult, stubborn dog. But, it wasn't! They matched me with someone perfect - and I use her for dog-sitting services all the time. I'm very appreciative of this service, as I am apprehensive of leaving my dog with people. The prices are pretty competitive and comparable with other pet-sitting and dog boarding places. I do pay a bit extra for this service, because of the specialized care and attention they give my dog. Another great benefit is that (with my particular dog-sitter, Inga) I have a very flexible pick-up / drop-off time. I have dropped my dog off as early as 7am , and picked him up as late as mid-night ! This is great, because I usually end up paying an extra day or 2 at a kennel service, because kennels operate during regular business hours 9:00-5:00 .

I won't lie, part of me kind of doesn't want to write this or say…read moreanything because I don't want to have to fight for my baby to have a great place to stay, but also as a truly psycho pet parent...I know, I'll own it... this place made my heart so happy. This was my third or fourth (can't even remember the others were so traumatizing) doggy daycare to visit. This is the only one that didn't instantly hit me in the face with the smell of urine or wet dog...eww. Also, this one has amazing staff members that actually seem happy in their jobs, not just hating their lives and overwhelmed by dogs. BHV takes a completely different approach to daycare than the others I saw. They keep the dogs in play groups of no more than 8-10 dogs. Others literally got as high as 40! I had a baby anxiety attack just watching it on the monitors. They let the play groups go outside and run around for around 20 minutes and play really hard, then that group goes back to their individual dog set up, which is NOT a crate! It's this precious little white picket fence area where the fence is 4-5 feet tall...pending height of the animals (they have a room for big dogs and a room for small dogs). You bring your baby's bed, stuffed toys, snacks, whatever they need, they provide water bowls, food bowls, etc. There is a big screen TV in all of the rooms where your dog will be resting for some background noise so that they aren't freaked out by every new sound. If you use the normal space with the picket fences, your babies can still see their friends "across the way" so they know they're not alone. During the approximately 1 hr to 1.5 hrs that your dog will be in the white picket fence area resting, there is one staff member coming around a few times to let each dog out to run down the hall and say "hi" to all of it's friends and get a little energy out, if it wants. You can also actually board your animal here over night...they have many levels of quite nice spaces (a couple suites are nicer than my bedroom LOL). This review is not about that, as we only use them for daycare. My dog and others that I've witnessed get so excited when pulling into the parking lot. Drop offs have become "mom, get outta my way, love you bye, I have friends to see". They post pics of the dogs throughout the day on social media so you can see your baby having fun. My husband and I have quickly fallen in love with this place, the lovely "hoos" that run it and even the fellow parents. It just seems like everyone loves being a part of this place. I have zero guilt about leaving my kid here, as I know she is having tons of fun and comes home a tired baby.

I hate to have to leave a bad review, but I had a really horrific and stressful experience here. I…read morejust moved to Austin and was looking for a boarding sitter for work travel. Initially I had a hard time coordinating with Lisa including canceled and delayed meet and greets and not receiving email docs needed until days later. I made it work because she had great reviews. It was a holiday weekend and I had to call my vet the morning of drop-off to get vax records for one of my two dogs, which I informed Lisa of. We agreed we'd chat in the morning around 9 to finalize details once I'd gotten the docs from the vet. She proceeded to send me multiple, essay-length emails that night between 4 and 6am about how she couldn't take Desi without docs and how she felt I didn't understand, and she couldn't "trust" me. She also accused me of not finalizing drop off or pickup details, which I had already discussed with her. Her messages were erratic and repetitive, and almost aggressive and condescending, referencing "boundaries and communication" while she was the one emailing me in the middle of the night! When she could've just called me the night before if she was so concerned. Even when I sent the records to her in the morning, she continued to berate me about her intake process over text, accusing me of not sending them even when I told her I did. I have had many sitters in various cities and never experienced anything like this. Thankfully a neighbor volunteered to watch them. Needless to say, this was all incredibly stressful the day of an important work trip. I was really astounded by this level of customer service as a former small business owner, and would never want to leave my dogs with someone like this.
