Why do I love this place? First of all is the location, it is nestled on a small island which…read moremakes it feel like a vacation retreat. I have been here many times to use the baths and have a relaxing massage, both in the summer and winter. All my visits were 5-star, now you may find a spa with newer tubs, larger saunas, fancy entrances but this place has charm and to me charm, cleanliness, attentive staff is what it is all about. Take a book and relax in one of the quiet areas, of course after you've been in the hottubs, steam room, and sauna. Even take a nap on a hammock, in season of course. They also offer overnight stays which I would consider, but I'm so close it seems a bit much.

The facility is very clean and welcoming, while the back area - with the 3 hot tubs, pool and saunas - has a quiet noise level all the time to ensure everyone can just relax. I would definitely come back. Pros - Very relaxing and an array of things to do (saunas, restaurant, pool, hot tubs). - Price of the hotel stay was inexpensive, especially since it was the weekend of the Roger's Cup finals - 30 minute drive to Montreal - Surrounding city is beautiful - Continental breakfast was good - Service is very friendly and willing to help out in any way they can Cons - Hotel room door was broken and we had issues everytime we locked it - The bridge to get to the hotel is very narrow and may be difficult for larger cars to get through

I am an incredibly crabby person on most days, but I know I am going to have a great time when I am booked for my biweekly nail appointment. The conversation is never boring, the service is top-notch, and the entire system feels effortless. Denise goes above and beyond to help every client who walks into the door. Becky has the sweetest smile and laugh, and Danielle is a creative genius. The selection of Gelish and Morgan Taylor polish is impressive, too. I am never able to decide and leave the decision for the ladies to make! Denise is constantly cleaning when she is working. You can see the hygiene and quality of care that goes into maintaining the front space. I would note that I am not a huge fan of merchandise being shelved right behind my manicure chair, as it creates the risk for accidents and uncomfortable intrusive browsing by other patrons when I'm receiving my services. I'm not familiar with other services, but my husband is quite fond of the massage services. He's also a difficult sell, so that's a good sign for the massage services!

Lucky for me, Katie at the Mirror Lake Inn spa grabbed her hot stones and got to WORK. The 80 minute massage I experienced was truly next level relaxation. I made the appointment for a Friday one week before, and was so excited to get in. The spa itself is gorgeous, though a huge bummer that the sauna and locker room aren't accessible at this time due to COVID. I took a walk through and had envy for everyone who got to enjoy that level of LAVISH. Still 5 stars even though I didn't get the full experience. Staff was fantastic and you can't beat the location. This is the biggest, splurgiest "treat yo self" I'll do all year, as an 80 minute hot stone massage ran me more than $200 with tip. She's not cheap but I will continue to rationalize this experience in my head as 100000% worth it. The need to not pay attention to anything but my back feeling better for an hour was a gift only $200 can buy. This business page is confusing and the photos are more indicative of the INN then the spa. I stayed at the next door high peaks resort and did a service here, and you do not have the stay at the inn to enjoy the spa. Happy relaxing and thank you to Katie and the team at the spa for such an awesome experience!

The Inn looks out over Mirror Lake with spectacular views of the lake and Adirondacks. Our room was large, comfortable, and beautiful. The Inn amenities include small lake front beach, indoor (heated) swimming pool, and the largest hot tub I've ever seen in my life. There are three dining options - upscale restaurant, casual bar (they share the same 4 diamond restaurant kitchen) and a waterfront pub. We spent time at all threes spots. Food and drinks at all were perfect. A great place to stay for a romantic getaway.

However, when our annual…read moreteachers union charity benefit came up I thought it would be nice to get a gift certificate from a local business so that people could check out a place that they might not go otherwise. I saw a couple good reviews and thought that the salt caves would be a good choice. My team of teachers pitched in $100 toward a gift certificate at the salt caves for our charity basket event. The lady that won went to redeem it with her receipt stapled to the brochure we were given but was denied because they said they needed an actual card that was NEVER given to us. ( they stated they ran out) When my friend that I had pick up the gift receipt called to inquire she insulted him and called him a liar. I then called, as I had originally spoken to her on the phone, figuring she'd remember our conversation. The owner then insulted me and raised her voice saying I should be smart enough to understand what she's saying as I am a teacher. As a special education teacher, I find it completely unprofessional to insinuate stupidity because you don't know how to properly run a business nor give proper customer care. After she insulted me, I let her know I would not ever be stepping foot in her establishment and was shocked by her behavior. She then started yelling over me and saying that she didn't need business for someone like me. That speaks volumes of her character. Shameful behavior!
