I wasn't around for that but I got it for the grandkids and my mom when the grandkids were visiting her. The one drawback is what I got for myself. The fritter was not that great. It had some caramel icing but the fritter itself didn't have a glaze or anything in addition so it was fairly dry. Next time I'm through the area, I'll probably try it again as everything else seemed very good.

We stopped by the first night to pickup some coffee, a chocolate chip cookie treat, and a box of macrons to go. The shop is absolutely adorable from entrance to exit! Even before entering we loved the adorable building with perfect blue paint with white trim on the red brick. The building is well maintained and clean. While it is small, they keep the space streamlined and open. The baked good window, the sweet treats fridge, and coffee/tea areas are all distinct with their own personalities and delicious displays. On top of the clean and inviting space, prices were reasonable for such high quality products and staff were friendly and inviting. The line can sometimes be long, but it is worth the wait. Lots to love here! Back to the food, the chocolate chip cookie didn't make it far. We ate it right outside and loved every decadent bite. The cold brew was refreshing and tasty. We ate the macrons throughout the day and loved every bite! My favorites were the lemon and pistachio. My husband's favorites were the vanilla and birthday cake. The flavors were very prominent and delicious. Yum! Our final day, we wanted to try the breakfast! While I got ready at the Airbnb, my husband went to get the 2 Empanada Meal that comes with a fruit cup. We also got cold brew coffee and a Chipa. Everything was so scrumptious and fresh! The fruit cup was a perfect healthy pair to the baked goods. The empanadas were both great. We tried the "Egg, Sausage, & Cheddar" and "Egg White, Tomato, Basil, Spinach & Parmesan" empanadas. Both were great and we couldn't pick a favorite. We were glad we got both. The chipa was also so good...unlike anything we've had before. Per their website, it is a "Savory Cheese Biscuit made with tapioca flour, Cheddar cheese, & Parmesan cheese. Gluten Free." If you have never tried a Chipa, we would recommend it! They catered my niece's party with lots of sweet, frosted, buttery donuts that tasted so fresh and upscale for a reasonable price. There is usually only one staff member working but they always are polite and efficient. They close relatively early (2pm) so I'd consider it weekend spot unless you're off for the day. It's a smaller shop and there isn't much seating so it isn't a place I'd plan on bringing family to sit down.
