There's also a freezer stocked with homestyle dinner items, bake your own pies, cheesecakes, and cakes. Besides the baked goods, they have Java Tree Coffee, cold drinks, breakfast sandwiches, quiche, lunch sandwiches, wraps, quiches, soups, and salads. There's a cozy dining room to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or a light snack. I stopped in here recently to grab a light lunch to go. I ordered the Vermonter Sandwich ($8.49 plus tax) and a slice of Tomato & Leek Quiche ($4.99 plus tax). The sandwich was made to order in the kitchen and the quiche heated up and packed to go. I enjoyed my lunch in my vehicle since I already had hot coffee there. The Vermonter had roasted turkey (no ham), crisp maple bacon strips, apple, red onion and mayo on a soft chewy small white sub roll. The quiche was soft and fluffy baked on a flaky crust. The food I had was tasty and I was told by my boss who lives in Weare that I should also stop here for breakfast too. My boss took his daughter here for breakfast and she loved their croissant breakfast sandwich and the mini cheesecakes.

Based on Jacque's reputation and our experience with their cakes we did not visit the shop to taste their gluten-free offerings. The cake was nicely decorated. Unfortunately, it was one of the the biggest disappointments of an otherwise beautiful day. The cake was EXTREMELY dry, to the point of staleness. Our guests took a bite and pushed it aside. Several members of our family remarked that it was very dry. We understand that gluten-free baking can be challenging, but we've had many excellent gluten-free cakes elsewhere. Given Jacque's reputation and the premium price we paid, we expected a much higher-quality product. The customer service afterward was even more disappointing. I contacted the bakery and spoke to Jacque directly, twice. I requested at least a 50% refund or a credit for a non gluten free cake, believing either of these options was a fair resolution. Jacque responded by raising his voice and saying "absolutely not, it's not my fault". Then added "I just had surgery". My response was, "you are the business owner, so yes, it is your fault." Jacque stated that they buy a mix from a manufacturer that he did not name. I was shocked by both his response and lack of empathy for such an important occasion. I have never left a negative review for any business but couples deserve to know what our experience with gluten free was like. We trusted Jacque's with an important part of our son's wedding, and both the cake and the way our concerns were handled fell far short of our expectation.

They left room in the cup for milk which is available at the coffee station along w/half & half, flavor shots, sweeteners, paper cup holders and lids. Coffee beverages include latte, cappuccino, espresso shots and more. Milk alternatives are available for an additional charge. Our second visit, a Saturday, there was a line to the door. We both ordered medium drip coffees. We were given paper cups and filled them ourselves from the vacuum pump dispensers at the coffee station. This day had regular, decaf, french vanilla, hazelnut and maple coffee varieties. The coffee was a good temperature to drink right away and had a smooth finish. Very good. Third visit, a Sunday, the line to order was out the door. We had a long drive and were anxious to be on the road and decided to just stop along the way. We should have waited.
