Fresh AF Bake Shop was such a fun find! Not only were the cookies absolutely delicious, but THE COOLEST THING EVER was that everything was Pokémon themed! As a huge Pokémon fan, this was an absolute must-visit for me, and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I really loved how much attention the owner puts into the little details. You can tell there's a lot of thought and creativity behind the whole experience, and it makes the shop feel extra special. The merch is pretty cool too, and their Instagram is definitely worth checking out as well. I can't wait to visit again and see what they come up with next! Super cute place!!! There was barely a line when we walked in on a Sunday morning. If it gets packed, parking might be tricky since it's not in a huge shopping center. Plenty of options for coffee flavors, pastries, and sandwiches! Coffee buckets are $12, but huge and so worth it! They have a TON to look at in the glass cases. I'm hoping they will have GF baked goods in the future because I was so sad I couldn't eat anything. The staff is very friendly and helpful. What nice little bakery not that far from me. I was craving some sweets and yelp said this spot was close by so I had to give it a try. They got cookies, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, magic bars to name a few. The place is kinda small inside but has a lot of sitting outside. The highlight for me was the apple cinnamon donuts. They were soo good. The donut was super soft and moist and I loved every bit of it. Luckily I ordered two of those bad boys lol. I always had a blueberry danish and it was amazing. I'll definitely be back again but just be cautious about how much you're ordering because I spent $40+ on goodies easily lol. If you're in Plaistow be sure to give them a try. read more

Was in the area Sunday, saw the sign and chuckled at the name. Decided to stop in. Worst decision I've made in a while. Place itself was nice, but the chick working was an airhead. I ordered a sandwich and she made me something completely different, which I didn't notice until I'd gotten home about twenty minutes later. I live in the area, so I was excited to give this place a try. I had the vanilla cupcake and pumpkin scone. The cupcakes were baked like a 5-year-old made them. Appearance is everything, and when the cupcake is spilling over the cup, that is a rookie baker move. The pumpkin scone had no flavor. The cupcake and frosting had no flavor. There was an undercooked consistency to the cake batter, with parts looking more cooked than the other. If I could give this place no stars, I would. read more

I heard good things about this place BUT I am so disappointed! Fresh AF try Dry AF! I spent over $80 on goodies a chocolate mocha cake, frosting had little to no flavor the cake was so dry shameful! If you haven't been to the new location of Fresh AF, you need to run, don't walk!! Everything you get will be amazing!! I have been twice in 2 days- and this will just be my review for today! I finally was able to get some pictures before we ate it all! First, the new place is beautiful. Taryn did a great job, to create a warm, and welcoming place. Everyone is friendly, even when there are lines- which yes, sometimes there are- they move very quickly, the staff is excellent, and they move everyone along quickly. The cases are filled with mouthwatering sweet and savory treats, from croissants, hand pies, cupcakes, to tarts, to macarons, to donut pops, and multiple rotating items. New introductions in the grab and go section I have tried today, and can vouch for! On today's list of goodies, I bought us, a potato skin hand pie- oh my. You will want more than one!! So incredibly good- it is like a twice baked potato, with bacon, cheese, chives and some sour cream on top of a croissant like crust. (I am not a baker so forgive me for my non technical terms))! I also bought a veggie hand pie, and a Fenway hand pie- sausage, peppers, and onions. Yum! The strawberry shortcake stuffed donut was to die for! It was devoured in less than 3 minutes by us. The homemade whipped cream is ridiculously good! I lied- I will also tell you about the trifles that I have bought on my past 2 weekends. The first weekend was a strawberry shortcake (?) trifle, and last weekend a blueberry cheesecake trifle. Oh. My. God. There went the diet. The whipped cream did me in. Lastly, I bought the chopped Italian salad with burrata. It is so good!! That was my dinner today, it was so filling, and oh, and the burrata with the hot pepper jam on it was just fantastic!! Finally made It to Fresh AF bakeshop in Plaistow, and what an absolutely delicious experience!!! We got there at 10:20 Friday 7/5 morning and the parking lot was packed, but the line inside moved super quickly! But there's nothing wrong with waiting in line at a bakery, it just helps you make your decision lol! Especially such a well decorated one! Today my partner and I got a small "house blend" iced coffee, a medium iced tea flavored with dragonfruit, a cannoli, and 3 macarons: watermelon, s'mores, and ice cream sundae! All absolutely delicious and barely made it out the parking lot un devoured! The macarons all were so soft, and the individual fillings packed a huge flavor paired with velvety softness! The cannoli had a pudding-like texture to the ricotta filling, which I was a huge fan of. Looking forward to trying more in the future! For those wondering, this all came out to $25.50! read more

Store is beautiful, all the products are lovely to look at but taste horrible! I bought a chocolate mocha cake ($35) I was to excited to try it. It should be called Dry a.f. It was dreadful. I honestly thought about bringing it back and asking for a refund. It was the driest cake I have ever had. I spent a total of $85 between the cake and other various goodies, tiny cheese cakes, several puff pastries, a monte cristo, a cookie sandwich stuffed with a cookie dough. There was not one item I would buy again. Each "treat" was one disappointment after the next. The cake - I threw it out well over half and it was only a 6" cake. This place may look good but the taste of the items lack. I shared all my goodies purchased at FreshAF with 5 friends and everyone of us said the same..disappointing. read more

The croissants here are top notch! We ordered both the chocolate hazelnut and the almond. So good! The other treats I tried on my visit were the brownie and a cupcake. Both were ok. The true star of the show, like I said, is the croissants. I went first thing in a Friday morning and they were short staffed so they were out of a few other things I wanted to try. They didn't have any cake pops or a huge variety of items. I just went on an off week. The line was getting long when I left but it moves fast! After months of hearing great things about Fresh AF bakeshop, I decided to treat myself since I'm close by. I walked in and was so overwhelmed by all of the delicious looking treats. A cookie dough stuffed croissant?!? Are you kidding me!! Everything looked so good. It wasn't busy which was nice as it gave me time and space to browse. After about 10 minutes of trying to decide, I went with the buffalo chicken and the potato hand pies, a strawberry cake pop and a cookies and cream cupcake. Everything was delicious. The hand pies were fantastic and the cupcake and cake pop were also really good. The service was great, and everyone was friendly. Prices are reasonable as well. Located in the Church Street Plaza, Fresh AF Bakeshop is a small locally owned and operated bakery and gift shop offering a variety of fresh baked goods including croissants, cupcakes, cake pops, macarons, pastries, custom cakes, and fresh brewed coffee drinks. They also sell gifts, mainly feminine items, such as handmade signs, candles, mugs with colorful language (lol), journal books, bags, cross stitch kits and more. I stopped in here recently to pickup some fresh AF sweets. I chose 6 cupcakes ($21 for 6) to try including the cookies & cream (vegan, gf), 2 lemon berry (vegan, gf), maple French toast, strawberry cream, and chocolate fudge. There was also funfetti too. I also got an Almond Croissant ($3.95 plus tax) and they also offer ham & cheese, spinach & feta, chocolate, and butter croissants too, but most were already sold out. I enjoyed my sweet treats back at home with my large coffee. The cupcakes were on the sweet side for taste including the very moist cake texture and the light buttercream frosting and toppings including fresh fruits and cookie pieces. The almond croissant, though not very big, was very buttery and flaky filled with almond paste and sprinkled powdered sugar on the outside. I saw the reviews on here and decided to give Fresh af a try and then maybe put in an order for Easter. The shop is very cute, as was mentioned in the other review. And everything is impeccably decorated. Adorable bunny cookies, gorgeous cakes and cupcakes. Having looked at the Easter menu, I was thrilled to see slices of the cannoli cake for sale, as that was my number 2 choice for Easter. I also bought a couple trifle cups that caught my eye. Everything looked so beautiful, I really, really wanted to love it. But I did not. The texture of the trifles was not what I expected. The whipped cream was overly stabilized, to the point of having the consistency of a very stiff frosting. And I get it, it needs to stay in tact to be sold for several days, but it just went too far. As for the rest of the ingredients, not very flavorful and again, not what I'd expect in a trifle. Sorry to say, the best thing about the peanut butter and chocolate one was the Nutter Butter on top. The cannoli cake was dry. The frosting (I assume it was supposed to be like cannoli filling???) was overly stabilized just lik in the trifle. It was stiff and dry, and did nothing to help the flavorless, dense and dry cake. Did you ever attend a wedding in the 70s or early 80s when wedding cakes were beautiful, but dry as hell, dense and at best tasted like stale air? Yeah, that's about the size of it. Maybe their stuff is just not my kind of stuff. I'm really disappointed that I didn't like it. A bakery near my house with my favorite whatever would be a dream come true, but I won't be back. read more
