I stopped in the other day to get some vegan cupcakes to bring to a dinner party. They had a large…read moreselection of flavors and the cupcakes all looked beautiful. The cupcakes tasted amazing, too! The cake part wasn't super-moist, so it held its shape and tasted great, but the frosting was the real star. The frosting on the lemon cupcake was intensely lemony, and the chocolate frosting was rich and smooth. I and the other non-vegans at the party couldn't tell that they were vegan, and our host was delighted to know that there is a bakery nearby that caters to her needs. I'll definitely be coming back to try the regular cupcakes soon!

We tried the buttercream frosting and the cream cheese frosting. Buttercream frosting was a bit sweet, I preferred the cream cheese. We ordered for the day before the party and put the cupcakes in the fridge. Would recommend taking them out for about an hour so the frosting softens up. TBH the cupcakes were good for allergen friendly cupcakes but if you don't have any allergies then the cupcakes just don't compare to regular ones. I would consider ordering from them again if I needed allergen friendly cupcakes. Otherwise likely would not choose this bakery if I need regular old cupcakes. PS It is delivery only, no pick up option.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. This is the most unprofessional organization I've ever…read moreexperienced. I ordered a cake tasting box from them for pickup and when I went to pick it up the shop was closed because of an error in their hours on their website. There was no effort to let people know the hours have changed, just closed for the day with zero warning. We've now been going back and forth with them, Jamie in particular, for a refund because at this rate we do not want to work with them for our wedding. I've called, emailed and messaged them on Instagram when I see they are clearly active and online and all of my messages are ignored. Save your money and your wellbeing.

But now that I know they're in Salem, I'll be visiting very soon! The macarons were front and center in the booth, and I kept goggling at how beautiful they were. They are slightly larger macarons with generous fillings and bejeweled shells ($3.75 each). I asked the person manning the booth what her favorites were (sugar cookie and cookie dough), but I still had trouble deciding which to try, there were so many unique flavors. She was very helpful though. Macarons are generally gluten free, but some flavors had cookie or cake crumbs and were labeled as containing gluten (fyi all served in the same case). These macarons were certainly not dairy free, but I decided to try them anyways; they were way too tempting. The Tall Man and I ended up getting a guava and a gingerbread macaron. His dad got a pistachio and a cosmic brownie (typical brownie vs the peppermint version). If I had known he was going to get some, it would have made more sense to get a half dozen. Macarons aren't cheap cookies, but they were certainly worth it. The guava was the plainest in appearance and taste. It wasn't decorated, and only the shell was flavored not the cream; it was too subtle and could have used a jam. The gingerbread was my favorite of our choices, spicy and not overly sweet with a nice textural crunch with the mini gingerbread sprinkles. The cosmic brownie had fun chunky sprinkles and a very fudgy texture, which was more brownie than macaron like (probably intentionally), but the taste was like a typical brownie so I would get something different next time. I didn't get to try the pistachio, but my father in law enjoyed it, and he doesn't even like cookies. Everything on display was beautifully fun to look at. I was also intrigued by their hot chocolate bombs and cake jars, but more as eye candy since they were full of gluten and dairy (but would make for great gifts!).

I…read morecalled him on a Thursday morning asking if he could do a dozen lemon cupcakes for my son's first birthday and have them ready by Saturday - a real last minute order. He said he wouldn't have time to add custom decorations, but I had an idea and had him frost 11 in green and 1 in red. When I picked them up on Saturday, he added two cookies to the box. I also ordered a meat pie and a kofta wrap and while I was waiting, he gave me two pieces of warm baklava, fresh from the oven! Absolutely delicious. When everything was ready, he carried it out to my car for me, since I had the stroller. He's such a kind man. And oh my gosh... possibly the best cupcakes I've ever had. The frosting was light and more buttery than sweet. I usually take the frosting off of cupcakes but I didn't this time because it was just too good. The lemon curd center was tangy and just the right level of sweetness. I will return to Michael's for every birthday/anniversary/party from now on. Oh and that meat pie is going to live in my brain forever. So aromatic and delicious... I got it for my husband but had eaten half of it by the time I got home. Whoops!
