Sweet Lemon Kitchen - Turkey Cobb Salad - Cafes Near Me - Georgetown, Texas

This place was recommended to me by the owner of the VRBO that we stayed at while in Georgetown. On our first Friday morning in Texas, we decided to go here for a lazy morning before hitting the antique stores and eclectic shops around the area. It was a win for us! We split the steak and egg croissant. The steak was perfectly seasoned. It was just the right amount for feeling full without feeling miserable. This came with some fruit which was also cool and refreshing, perfect for a hot summer morning. I also had a raspberry kolache. Kolaches are a rare treat for me and remind me of my childhood. It was perfect and brought back sweet memories of my summers in Granger, Texas. Our little had a cinnamon roll which was "the best thing ever" according to the knowledge of an 11 year old's love of pastries. We saved 1/2 for a reheated treat later that day. The coffee was fresh, the mugs were big enough to get your fuel for the day. Our waitress was friendly with a huge smile. The food was delivered pretty quick. The place was like sitting in your great aunt's old house and letting her fill you up with home made meals just because she loves you. We tried to go back on a Saturday morning but the wait looked to be too long and we had someplace to be at 11. If we didn't have something already planned, we would have waited for a table. read more

We visited Sweet Lemon Kitchen for dinner on a festival day, and definitely enjoyed it. I had the Mediterranean Salmon, which was quite different, but good. My SH had the Beef Bourguignon - a favorite of hers - which she said tasted just like homemade. The restaurant had a nice, and reasonably priced, craft beer selection (although they were out of the stout that was on the menu), as well as an interesting, well-priced wine list. The service was prompt and friendly. It was a good experience. I expect that we'll visit again. read more

The food is good but the restaurant is not handicap accessible and worse. To enter you have to walk up four steps. They refuse to provide a ramp. Also the hostess booth is outside on an incline. So you have to stand (usually in a line so for a while) on an incline with nothing near to hold on to. This takes a lot of strength for a physically handicapped person. It is very hard for a person with two non-mobile or even one non-moble leg to balance, to keep their footing, on an incline. It highly increases the chances of falling for a handicapped person on a walker or a cane. read more

Didn't arrive early enough for the kolaches but the frittata and grilled cheese were really good. Also had the toast with excellent homemade jam. Servers were friendly and coffee was pretty good. read more

First let me say I love this place! My favorite thing to get it the Chicken Salad, but lately it seems a bit chunky. It used to be smooth and creamy with bite size bits of Chicken and apples with some nuts but lately the Chicken and apples (which I love) are large chunks. Just not the same as it used to be. a little disappointed. Not sure if it's a new cook but hopefully they can get it back to what it was. read more

Amazing food and a cute vibe. Small restaurant so there might be a small wait but I promise it's worth it

Came here for a delicious minimally processed breakfast and coffee while I did a little work away from home and they did not disappoint!! I couldn't decide between the steak, egg, and cheese croissant or the avocado toast with a side of bacon. Patrick wisely suggested to get the steak sandwich and add avocado (+chipotle ranch), as that was one of his go-to orders. THANK YOU PATRICK! So. Delicious. Highly recommend. Also- they had plenty of outdoor seating sprawled apart, restroom available and clean, and very friendly and helpful staff. AND. AAAND someone came by with little apple pie samples I accidentally dropped a part of it on the table and I seriously thought about eating it anyways, it was that good.... but... you know.. Covid. read more

Great food and coffees. Service is outstanding. Sometimes it takes a while being so busy but it's worth the wait. Cinnamon rolls are the best ever. It's maybe a little small but with some outside seating it helps to make up for the crowded spaces. read more

Love love love sweet lemon and little lemon in the library! When we moved back to Georgetown this quickly became a family favorite. The Klabosnek is amazing and the chicken sandwich is phenomenal! I ordered the Steak and Egg Croissant and the Cinnamon Roll. This is my second time ordering this combination from here just to see if the food was any different both times. Steak and Egg Croissant I would rate a 2/5, the croissant is buttery and flakey and is decent. The egg within the sandwich was not cooked to the asked temperature/style. The egg was also not seasoned so it didn't have any flavor. The grilled onions were good but could've been cooked for longer. The steak was not great, just a tad bit overdone and quite under-seasoned. There was no Garlic Aioli on the sandwich. The Cinnamon Roll I would rate a 4/5, the cinnamon roll was large for the cost. It was flavorful and tasted pretty great, this is definitely something they do well. The icing on the cinnamon roll had a slight lemon taste to it (not a fan). Your experience may be different from mine, but both instances these foods were delivered via a food delivery service. read more

I really enjoy this place! It's adorable and the food is excellent. The parking is kinda hard to find. Reservations are probably a better idea than just walking up. I frequent this place quite often so kudos to the staff and the owner for doing such a great job! read more

This is my favorite place for cinnamon rolls! I haven't had anything that I haven't liked. My go-to is the quiche Lorraine with the salad, but the egg croissant is very good too! I've also had a ham and Swiss croissant, which was tasty as well. I've only ever sat outside, but there is some indoor seating. The restaurant is in an old craftsman house, so the indoor area is limited. There's parking on the street, and you can walk around the downtown area while you wait! It's best to go early to beat the rush! The staff are always friendly, but lately they seem to be really understaffed. The waits have been longer to get seated and to place an order. If you are pressed for time and don't mind a wait go for it, but I recommend calling ahead to check wait times. They do offer to-go orders, which didn't take too long. Overall this is a great spot! read more

Best brunch in Georgetown! I was so excited to see that they are now open on Sundays. All of the baked items here are hands down delicious. They have a French toast bread pudding-like creation that is To.Die.For. Also, a solid avocado toast. Good for kids as they have seating both inside and outdoors. I also ordered a pie and scones from here for Christmas and they were awesome. A charming place for brunch or lunch and I love that it is near the Georgetown square. Try it. Really nice restaurant in the historic downtown. Currently only outside seating is available with take out order as well. Food was as great. Coffee was delicious, too. Egg croissant was yum!! Only problem was waiting for the food. We had waited for an hour to get our foods. Understandable matter, but had to be explained earlier. Will go back for sure. read more

Delightful surroundings with capable and knowledgeable waitstaff. The food was outstanding. Had the Quiche Lorraine with a beautiful salad and a flackery croissant with strawberry jam. Very yummy! Get yourself there!!! read more

Dang it. The food was excellent. The staff was nice. We hit in a day with a new kitchen staff and it took 35 minutes to get avocado toast. The cinnamon rolls were great. There was too much frosting for my liking but it was good frosting so that is personal preference. The roll itself was moist enough dough that the roll unfrosted was not dry at all. That is perfect. The avocado toast was great. I ate it in the car as this added an hour to our trip. We expected quick and it was not. A great town and a good stop. I would go back if I was not in a hurry. read more

This is our favorite restaurant in Georgetown! We've been going here regularly for three years, and have always had a positive experience in every way! The food is consistently fresh and delicious! I love their avocado toast, house salad with strawberries, and their delicious BLTA sandwich. Their gluten free choc chip cookies are the best! The environment is clean, cute and comfortable. So tasty, Yum. Very nice atmosphere, with a courteous and efficient wait staff. I devoured my soup & Sandwich.

LISTEN this is easily the best avocado toast I've ever had. I found myself eating it slow because I didn't want it to end!! I'd give this 6 stars if I could. I didn't catch her name, but our waitress was awesome and very attentive. This was our first time going, and I already can't wait to go back. At the sake of sounding like a total white girl, this was the perfect spot for brunch, as we sat outside at the picnic tables with our lattes and it was the perfect way to start the holiday weekend. Holy cow. I'm a musician and happened to play at this restaurant last night. It was outdoors, 101°, and a 3 1/2 hour gig. The staff was really attentive in making sure we were all hydrated with ice water. It was definitely going above and beyond and much appreciated. Suffice to say everyone there is super nice and thoughtful. Now, the food. Whoa! I had some friends and family dining there and every plate they ordered was fantastic. Bruschetta, salmon w/ quinoa, paninis, the desserts... just everything... delicious. Even though I live in Austin this is a restaurant I'll be coming back to often. read more
