This place is always my go to place to get a salad after a workout. I always get either the San Remo, Caprese, or Cobb salad - the salads always seem fresh, which is a big plus. The lines when I go never seem too bad, and the staff is friendly. For the price, it's not expensive at all when you stack it up against other salad places like Chop't and Sweetgreen. For the price and amount/quality of salad you get, Sweet Leaf stacks up very nicely compared to other comparable salad places in the DMV area. It's become my go to salad place in Courthouse! They also make great sandwiches too - pretty good portions for the price and really tasty. There's no point in going to the 2 Subways (yuck) closeby when you got a place like this nearby which makes infinitely better sandwiches for a dollar or two more. They also include a loyalty card which also is nice to have if you end up going there often (like I do)! read more

Okay, so you probably expect a review about their salads or breakfast because that is what is known for, but this review is for their smoothies and cookies. The smoothies are made with real fruit-they literally put it in the cup in front of you. Lots of options to choose from, like mango, blackberries, and strawberries. Then they top the cup with a large amount of frozen yogurt. I would eat it just like that, but since it's a smoothie they mix it together and whala! A healthy and delicious smoothie! Their cookies are also super soft and tasty. A little pricey, but it's Northern Virginia, what do you expect? read more

The hype is REAL! Came here twice in one week: once for a mint chocolate chip milkshake, and another for a breakfast sandwich. I ordered the Healthy Start (egg whites, mushrooms, baby spinach, and some sriracha on whole wheat). So, so good, and a steal under $5 given its size. I love this place and the salads there. However, I'm very disappointed because today I was lied to by an employee of SweetLeaf. I asked for a salad with the dressing on the side. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the employee possibly putting dressing on the greens, so I asked after if he did and he said no. I get home and low and behold, my salad if doused in dressing. No one likes to be lied to, but when you're paying for a service? Unacceptable. I tried calling the manager to tell him about this but the phone had a busy signal for 20 minutes! read more

I don't know why I thought this was a boba/Asian place for the longest time... Maybe because it reminded me of 7 leaves in OC? But anyway, it's not Asian. :) Quaint cafe that serves breakfast sammiches, salads and regular sandwiches during the day. Everything looked fresh and was prepared on the spot. Bf's only concern was the size of the breakfast burrito- it's not chipotle sized if you're looking for that- probably more of a "normal" size for Europeans. :) however, loved the sausage and pesto sauce inside. I got the healthy start which included egg whites, mushrooms and spinach. My only change would be to ask if they had a way to sautéed the veggies so it wasn't so crunchy in the morning. I love this place! Their sandwiches and froyo is good, but I especially love their crunchy kale and I'll order it in a side bowl whenever I go. If they allowed you to order it by the bag, I would come even more often to get that. The music is always really loud though - I wish the volume was turned down just a bit more. read more

I love this place. I come here regularly for their salads - especially the Positano salad with the garlic vinaigrette... Artichokes, mozzarella balls, hearts of Palm - It's delicious! The accompanying bread isn't as good as Sweetgreen though. They also have shakes but I haven't had a chance to try them. read more

I was in the Courthouse area around 1:00pm and decided to grab lunch to take back to my place. Little did I know Metro would cause me to not get back to Pentagon City (gotta love those single tracking Blue and Orange line midday delays but I digress) until 2pm, otherwise I probably would have dined in. I was looking for a salad, and pulled up Yelp to see what was nearby. Unfortunately I couldn't find my beloved Cava, but I saw Sweet Leaf was a 2 minute walk so I figured I would give it a shot. At 1pm I was able to walk right up to the counter and order. While staff was friendly, they weren't really helpful in providing answers to questions I had. For example, I asked which dressings are fat free, and the girl responded in pretty broken English that all of them are, which I'm 100% sure is false. Also, I wasn't aware I was supposed to ask for chicken from the guy who filled my salad bowl, and when I asked for it later, the other girl looked confused, but a manager quickly stepped in and helped her out. Lastly, I wasn't aware you're supposed to order toppings in sectional order. For example, I asked for cucumbers and then beets, but I wasn't done with my rattling off my toppings yet, however, the girl in the section where the cucumbers were quickly just slid my bowl down to the girl working the beets section and began helping the next guest. What I ended up with was: mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, beets, cucumbers, chicken, and strawberries with balsamic vinaigrette on the side. For paying $10.45, I was expecting more of the chosen ingredients, however, I will say I was pleased with the amount of chicken on the salad. Since I consumed this at home, I added blueberries, feta, carrots, and diced red peppers. I also used my favorite TJ's fat free soy sesame vinaigrette instead of the provided dressing. All of the ingredients were fresh and I was pleased with my augmented salad. I wouldn't be opposed to stopping here again, however, I think I would try one of their sandwiches or preset salads. read more

But, the selection is better than having fried, greasy, fattening eats. It seems I have to write more... This place is a complete rip-off, I ordered the bowl with kabob (kabobi) a lady put me tons of rice, a few leaves (mixed greens), a tiny spoon of tomatoes, a tiny spoon of cucumbers and for dressing I asked lime, then she squeezed half of the juice out of the bowl, and even charged me 25 cents per additional spoon of tomatoes and cucumbers that I asked due the lack of food in the bowl, even with the additional spoons my bowl didn't have a 1/4 of a tomato or cucumber for a total $14, that wasn't a decent size for anyone, I'm petite but that was a joke for even a child, how can you be that cheap with a tomato? Great salads, but not so great for vegetarians. I went here to get a quick salad for dinner and service was great. Ordered a salad with no chicken. I didn't want any extra toppings, because it looked good as is. Usually at Sweet Leaf when you go vegetarian, they deduct the price of the chicken or protein from your salad order. This place NO. I'm literally here 3x per week since I work in the area. The staff is always super friendly and you can customize anything on the menu - just ask! The items are always fresh and yummy! Harvest Bowl, Malibu Melt, and Asian Chicken Salad made with Spinach are my must haves. Great spot! read more

I usually stick to Caesar salads wherever I go but got the Kale Kobb here with Caesar dressing - and it was dry and crusty, how do you make a salad dry? I read "avocado and bacon" and thought it would be orgasmic, but nope just a dry one. Either way, I'll stick to Sweet greens and pay a dollar more for better quality. read more

I went to this particular Sweet Leaf at night when they weren't busy at all and let me tell you my salad was soup. I wonder if someone's tracking the cost of salad dressing here. This lady acted as if the dressing wasn't coming out fast enough and just kept squeezing. I thought the top was going to come off I was just in shock. Was she trying to spray a fly or part my lettuce with the salad dressing stream. I should have said something besides, "uhm, that's enough dressing" because this lady didn't understand. Because I asked for two salad dressings, she grabbed the second one and began the same jet stream filling the bottom of my bowl with salad dressing... I poured some out before consuming some of my vegetable cereal. I will just stick to Sweet Green. read more

I have been craving fresh vegetables, and was pleasantly surprised at the generous portion size of the delicious fresh salads at Sweet Leaf. They were great at customer service when I called to inquire about curb side - I have health issues that makes me extra cautious on going into public places right now during covid-19, so they said they would be willing to bring out my food to my car, which they did (I paid via the Uber Eats app and selected the Pickup option). Everything is fresh and delicious. Looking forward to being a patron again soon! BTW, I ordered the 5 meal option, which is a great deal for the price! read more

My husband and I love Sweet Leaf. We're always looking for places we can get quick, healthy, delicious meals, and Sweet Leaf takes the cake. We usually end up getting breakfast - the Malibu Melt or the breakfast burrito wrap - no matter what time of day it is! I've had sandwiches and salads there as well. All tasty, although you'll definitely get more food for your money with a sandwich. The staff has been consistently friendly and helpful. All in all, it's a wonderful place to eat, and now that we've moved to a different neighborhood, we definitely miss it! read more

I stopped into Sweet Leaf for lunch. The first time I was in the store. I ordered a POSITANO salad with an extra chicken salad. The lady who took my order pulled out a salad bowl. We both looked at it and it appeared to be black olives in it. Not knowing any better and since my salad had olives I didn't think much about it. At check out They had not included my chicken salad. I inquired and they offered to give me a side order. OK, no big deal that you didn't get my order correct. Less that an hour later I had the worst stomach ache. For two hours I could hardly walk. I was sick. I will never go to Sweet Leaf again. Obviously it was not clean and I got sick. Buyer beware. read more
