New to Lubbock Texas and wanted to support a black owned business, where we live we don't see many African American people. Granted we were a walk it was the day of our son birthday. Made to the bakery at 7:30 hoping to get some already made cupcakes or a cake. The gentleman was really nice the lady was very unpleasant her disgust showed on her face and we could hear the comments she was making as if we were an inconvenience to what they had going on. Mind there business hours said open at 7:30 am nothing was put out. If it was a problem they could have said no they could not accommodate us I would have understood. We did purchase a half of dozen cupcakes but I did not feel good about the purchase at all. I regret spending my money there. We still have not tried the cupcakes, I feel the energy someone has when preparing food will transfer and it was a negative experience for us. I will never never go to Sweet Creation again. This is the place to get cakes for any occasion! She was recommended to me by a friend and I understand why! Her building is on Broadway, (roads are bumpy so be careful when driving with your treats), It's a little hidden behind some poles but they have a sign right when you walk in. I usually park in one of the spots across the street or a little further down from the place. Parking can be tricky here. I placed my orders online through her FB page! I was in a time crunch and needed 4 dozen cupcakes for my daughter's signing to play volleyball for a college. Not only did Sweet Creations accommodate the order with a few days notice, the owner bought cupcake liners to match the school colors! The cupcakes and buttercream frosting was delicious too! I absolutely love this place!!! I wanted to order a birthday cake to be delivered to my sister's house because it's her birthday and because I live in another state but I have to say this place is extremely professional!! I felt a little bad just because my sister lives in a remote part of Idalou so they had to go out of their way to make that delivery but I made sure to pay that delivery fee accordingly. When they couldn't find the address, they gave me a call and called my sister and they were able to deliver it at the right place. The lady that delivered the order was also the lady who took my order and I'm extremely grateful of the service she provided. I had an absolutely wonderful time at this bakery, and ate some of the best brownies I've ever had. I'm visiting Lubbock from Miami, Florida, and I'll be coming back in before the end of my trip! It was truly delightful to meet the people behind the operation and see all the kinds of work they had done in the past. The owners happily spoke with me, told me about themselves, and made me feel welcome. The cakes on display and the ones they have on their website are extremely cool too. We were in town for a family reunion and found a little bakery downtown on Broadway very near the Texas Tech campus. It is a small family owned bakery that focuses on quality over quantity. They had the best brownies I have had - and I've been to bakeries all around the world. I usually prefer the bakeries in Paris but those brownies lured us back with our family a second day. Although it was hard to choose from the Danish wedding cookies and snickerdoodles- we opted for the thumbprint cookies which blew my mind. I'm great at baking but I have no clue how these thumbprint cookies were made. The texture was so crumbly and light and the chocolate ganache was made from very high quality chocolate. These were the best thumbprint cookies I have ever had. We got there at the end of the day and they did not have many items left. I recommend going early before they sell out. Marsha was making cakes that were beautiful. I wish we were here more days to try one. I'm going to see if they can ship some cookies. read more

Stumbled upon this unassuming storefront after a late lunch at Lee's Cafe next door. All of the desserts here are beautiful and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I picked up three of these stacked cookie creations: snicker doodle with cream cheese filling; peanut butter with peanut butter cream filling; and chocolate chip with cream filling. Very delicious custom cupcakes! They even have cookies on the bottom which makes it even more mouth watering. I needed cupcakes for a birthday last minute and didn't think they would have anything available since most places need a 24 hour notice for speciality cupcakes. I called and the lady on the phone was so friendly and said I could come choose the cupcakes I wanted for a very decent price.
