Very pretty pastries that aren't too sweet. It is artisan pastries so the price matches but it isn't anything crazy. They have signs for the pastries but would be great to have a menu listing out ingredients/a short description. I got the gingerbread bread and the espresso butter banana bread. I really liked the gingerbread one, it had a nice orange zesty flavor and wasn't overly sweet. Texture was great and I loved all the toppings. For the coffees/drinks, they are from another coffee shop which was disappointing because I was looking forward to something new. The espresso buttery on its own was good but the flavor disappeared on the bread. I wanted a little more texture to the banana bread but my boyfriend really enjoyed it and said it was one of the best so take that as you will. I finally visited this beautiful establishment. I'm from CA, therefore, there is an abundance of bakeries. Here in Lubbock, not many. This is why I am thrilled about Brulee Bakery. I purchased desserts. I have been told that the pop tarts are delicious! I'll have to come back to try the different assortments of bake goods that they offer. The young women that assisted me this morning welcomed me and offered her help since it was my first time visiting. I am looking forward to trying the treats I purchased. We happened upon Brûlée Bakery this week on a shopping outing. The staff was super friendly and helpful with our order. We had a piece of their quiche and also split a brownie. The quiche custard was smooth and creamy with a wonderful crust. The brownie was very rich and was perfect to split. We observed people mostly carrying out orders of desserts and learned they have a robust take-out baked goods menu that many people pre-ordered from for the holidays. I had spent some years in Germany in the mid to late 80's and spent about 3.5 years there, enjoyed all the great Germany foods, but one of them stuck out as a favorite, and could be found almost anywhere in Germany. A German hamburger called the Bierocks , which has of course hamburger meat with Cabbage and onions and sometimes cheese backed in side of a large type dinner roll. Having almost given up the hope of finding any one in Lubbock that would make them or had made them, until I found Dea at Brulee bakery, she explained that she had never made them but had other people asking, for October Fest, she called me yesterday and told me she made some, well my truck could not get there fast enough. After picking them up I went straight home. Now these Bierock's are good cold or hot, about half way through the first one, it brought back so many memories of standing on the street in Hanau Germany eating a Bierocks and having a beer almost 35 years ago. She made them so good. I really want to think Dea and her staff for stepping out of the Normal bakery goods and trying something different and they Killed it, get some you wont regret it. This place is definitely going to be a go-to spot for me to study and hang out with friends in the future! The ambiance is very peaceful and i love how pretty the seating area is, and the food is delicious. I had the cream brulee cheesecake and it was easily one of the best desserts I've had in Lubbock. It was rich and had the perfect level of sweetness without being too heavy. The price was a bit high but that's on par for the other cafes in the area, and the service was fantastic. The staff were all friendly and the cashier made a point to ask me if I had any allergies before i ordered, which i appreciate. I feel like this is a place where you can go if you have food restrictions and not worry overmuch about not having any options. Honestly all of the food looked delicious, even the gluten free options, so i will be coming back to try some more things later. read more

I fly back and fourth from Texas to California often and brûlée bakery is literally a MUST stop everytime for me lol the lemon loaf is LIFE the service is always friendly fast and welcoming . I would return to Lubbock just for their focaccia. It was tremendous. It had a crisp airy outer layer and the entire bread was perfectly seasoned with rosemary, garlic and salt. The seasonal bostock, the pop tarts and the morning bun are some of the things I would suggest trying first, but I've nearly had everything on the menu and can honestly say, they have not missed a single shot. HELLO, BRULEE BAKERY! Finally -- a real bakery in the LBB!!! We stopped in late one afternoon, just as they were closing, to get treats for a gathering we were hosting. Dea, the owner, happened to be behind the register, and we had the best chat about her family's baking history, about what brought them to Lubbock, and about their opening Brûlée. We bought one of everything they had left in stock at day's end, and the RAVES we got on every item were out of this world. The homemade pop tarts are incredible, the Texas shortbread is divine, her dad's lemon bars are the BOMB, and the focaccia -- OH, the focaccia!!! But the coolest thing about Dea is -- when I told her I actually can't eat anything on her current menu because of food allergies, she said if I would share recipes I CAN eat, she'd do special orders and even add things to the menu so people like me can have special treats! Now THAT is how you build loyalty. Dea -- you are AWESOME! We've since returned many times to buy treats for the family and gifts for others, and everyone is in LOVE. Pro tip: get there early.
