Recently I found out about DBK and now I can satisfy that itch that only Japanese style desserts can scratch. Picked up a couple of slices of ube crepe cake and a six pack of the ube and strawberry bbangs. All of it was fantastically delicious! The bbangs are like soft cake tacos stuffed with creme and fruit and the crepe cake was to kill for. I will definitely be making more stops here for sweets!

Their pancakes (or any cake menus, really) are incredibly soft, and the cream strikes the perfect balance --light and "not too sweet." The cakes are delicate, airy, and absolutely delightful. I love that they feature Asian-inspired flavors like ube and pandan, which add a unique touch to their menu. My favorites so far are the vanilla cake topped with fresh strawberries and the pandan cake --it's hard to choose between the two :) I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try their macarons next!

Visiting Pinkitzel, I was so excited to see that they have cupcakes. I wanted a sweet treat that was just enough without overdoing it. When I walked into the very cute, we'll decorated and nicely organized shop, I was greeted by the cashier. As you walk in to your left is a cotton candy shelf, straight ahead is the cashier, macaroons, cupcakes, specialty chocolatea, ice cream and, to the right is all kind of bulk candy, modern and old fashioned candies. After walking around the shop that was nicely decorated, smelled good, and had a cute seating area in a bay window that looked out to the restaurants and other shops in the downtown Tulsa. I chose the cookies n'cream cupcake. So cute. The cupcake was moist and soft and had good flavor throughout the cupcake. The topping wasn't overbearing with being too much or too sweet. I've taken several photos of the shop and what it offers. After eating my cupcake, I went to look for goodies for my little one. When I went to pay, I was surprised to see how much I paid for two small items. To me, it was costly. Especially for one of them. I t was alright as they were gifts. Honestly, everything here that we have tried has been really good. The brownies are moist, the cookies are full of flavor, and the pies have beautifully flaky cracked with delicious flavors in the middle. The staff here, at least by the end of the day when we tend to pop in, seem a little grouchy. Compared to the Riverside or east Tulsa locations, they don't really seem like they're happy to be at work. It's pretty dark inside, and I wish there was more seating in the main bakery area. It does feel a bit disjointed inside, but we usually just grab our treats and eat them in the car.

What an absolutely delightful place. So first off before I came I called in, I was going to be late…read morepicking up my too good to go order and the woman on the phone reassured me that a few minutes would not make a difference, the doors will be locked but they will still hold my order for me and allow me to grab it. Once I arrived in person staff was just as friendly as on the phone, even allowing me to get the footage I needed for content. When you first arrive the place instantly stands out among the other local shops. It is big, beautiful and looks like a very classy place to eat.
