I was searching on Google and Yelp for a place where I can order a Tres Leche birthday cake for my husband. It is not an option on their website (which it should be hehe) but I saw in one of the reviews that someone had ordered it...so I decided to call and they made it happen! This bakery is very cute. The customer service is excellent (on the phone and in person). It looks like a family owned business which I wanted to support. They were also very kind. They made the process easy since I had ordered this just days before and she also included a candle for me. I was very unprepared and sleep deprived with a newborn so I appreciate that they thought of everything for me and made it so easy. Very kind. So the birthday cake was VERY very good and cute. I couldn't resist getting a slice of strawberry cake myself which was also good but I prefer the tres leche. I also saw they have food (which I want to try) and ice cream cup cakes available and I think that would be another good party buy. I definitely will come again. Small bites, bit bites, salads, Sandwiches, coffee, cake slices, cookies... Bites: German Chocolate Cake (6.75) -not European type. Has brown dollop chocolate cream on top. Layer of chocolate flavored glaze with coconut shredds within. -alternating layers of moist brown cake & cream. Strawberry Heaven (7.25) -light airy layers of white cake resembling chiffon cake with some kind of flavoring . Layer of cream with fresh strawberry slices. -lite sugar content. Layer of cream on top with slice of strawberry. Tiramisu (7.25) -light brownish layers with a cream layer. Not too sweet. Had light brown cream layer on top with a sprinkling of chocolate shavings. We were in the area for a quick weekend trip and wanted a light, fresh and healthy lunch. A quick search found Sweet Bites within walking distance, so we headed over. What a lovely little treasure! It's a family-run business with mom as the artist behind the gorgeous and yummy deserts that they are known for. We grabbed dessert to go for later (fantastic!), but stayed and had lunch there. I had the steak salad and my teen son had the chicken salad, and we both had fresh-squeezed juice (to order). Delicious! I never finish a salad (lettuce is usually boring) but we both ate every bite! Wow, what a hidden gem! I had no idea this amazing spot existed. While in the area I wanted to grab a quick espresso and came upon Sweet Bites Bakery & Brunch. Such a sweet family (three generations!) who work here :) I ordered a few treats, all homemade, for the family. Mini cupcakes and small square slices of cake including Raspberry Cream, Coconut Custard, and 3 Leches Cookies n Cream. They do custom cakes and omg the cutest mini cakes (see picture for size). They also execute everything fresh and baked with love. Such an adorable spot ~ besides yummy sweets, they also offer savory items. Upon asking a few questions, I heard they're known for their fried chicken! From fried chicken and waffles, a 2pc/3pc/4pc with sides, and the fried chicken sandwich, this is such a fun menu item you don't casually walk into often. They offer small bites, salads, other sandos including a burger, other brunch items including skillets and pull-apart french toast, and last but certainly not least..boozy items like michelada flights and bubbly! I honestly can't wait already to return for the fried chicken, to try more desserts, and of course, partake in their fun boozy menu on the weekend! Came here about an hour before closing to grab some sweet treats for someone's birthday. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the pastry case was still full of treats to choose from. I appreciated the variety of desserts available and purchased the triple chocolate, carrot cake, strawberry, German chocolate, coconut, and raspberry fudge. The employees were friendly and threw in a candle and "Happy Birthday" cake topper for the occasion. I should've checked inside the box to make sure all my cakes slices were there before leaving, but we were eager to go home and dig in, and the raspberry fudge was missed-oops! I contacted Sweet Bites Bakery (with an almost immediate response from them), and they were super understanding and had it ready for us to pick up the next day. Customer service is top tier here and the cakes are just as amazing. I'm glad to have discovered this place and would definitely come back if I'm in the area to check out their food options. I've been walking by this new business at least once a week now for the past two months. Stopping in occasionally to get something small, like a brownie or eclair, which were both amazing by the way. Recently, I decided to try out their cakes for a birthday celebration. The lovely lady there walked me through everything they had available to mix and match sponge, filling and icing to pretty much make what I wanted. With her excellent recommendations, I chose a spice flavored sponge with apple pie filling and a white Chantilly cream icing and fall coloring decoration. She told me they tend to use less sugar in their recipes than most do. This was music to my ears! The cake was very visually appealing, and the flavor was so delicious and light! Kiara met my husband somewhere and told him about her place. We decided to try it and they have my 3 favorite items-fried chicken, german chocolate cake and ice cream cake. The chicken is sourced for a local vendor and it is not your usual saline solution injected chicken but quality you can taste-fried to perfection-very crunchy on the outside and moist/steamy on the inside (Mama, you did Good!!!) German chocolate cake was equal parts cake and frosting-not overly sweet-again-perfect! I haven't tried the ice cream cake yet but they looked mighty tasty. As this is a family restaurant, you can tell this family has poured their heart and soul into this welcoming, clean, and bright place. Kiara represents her family well and everyone pitches in. While they don't advertise it as southern fried chicken (which is probably wise, as a Georgia native I know people are quick to pile on if it isn't the exact style they grew up with) it certainly fits the bill. The mac & cheese was very good, the mashed potatoes didn't look delicious but they were! It came with 2 pieces of cornbread muffins, with a little pat of butter on top which was a nice touch. We'll probably add one more piece of chicken if we can next time bc my boyfriend wanted more :) A lovely surprise was that they serve beer! So we added on a couple Modelos when the food came. The service couldn't have been nicer! It was essentially full service besides ordering and paying at the counter. The server brought everything out after that and was so kind and attentive without being overbearing at all. And the restaurant was spotless.
