The papaya salad was refreshing but very small for the price and way overdressed as the fish sauce was extremely overwhelming. The curry noodle soup had good flavor but a little too sweet and although the noodles were perfectly cooked, the chicken was so dry that I found it inedible. The green curry with chicken served with rice had great flavor but again the chicken was so dry. Compared to other Thai food imo in this area, this is not a serious Thai restaurant. Let's drop by just out of the convenience. I order ton yum soup and Gei gar Prao. The chicken with basil was pretty good however is too saucy, lacking wok-hee that you normally found in good Thai restaurants.. the ton-yum soup was poor, it just tastes like chicken soup with some spices in it. To have no flavor, you cannot taste any lemongrass flavor or pungeness s or any fresh Herb in it. It was watery and it just using some red Thai curry... Also, rices bowl tiny in size, set jasmine rice but in fact it is cheap Chinese mainland rice. Not jasmine rice at all. It is cheating, not be coming of authentic Thai restaurant. This is a so-called Thai restaurant probably run by some Chinese cooks, tend to be a Thai restaurant. Don't go there if you want genuine Thai food. It is my first time eating here and it was great! It is a smaller intimate setting with adorable pillows on the bench seating and these beautiful leaf imprinted table tops. You would expect them to play more traditional music but the jazzy music is calming while you eat. We ordered the vegetable dumplings, fried, and they were really amazing. Even though they were fried the dumpling skin was thin enough where you didn't feel like you were stuffing your face with grease. I'm not sure what all the ingredients were but there was something soft/saucy inside that gave the dumplings a different texture than regular vegetable dumplings but were delicious regardless. I got a Garlic Sauce dish with chicken and my bf got the Chicken Pad Thai. You can't go to a Thai restaurant without getting a Thai iced tea! I love when you can really taste the tea in the drink. It was very rich and it really hit the spot. My garlic sauce dish was really enjoyable. I'm slightly obsessed with ginger so I would have liked a little more ginger, but for the average person it was the perfect amount, the ginger pieces were small enough not to shock your palate if you don't like a lot of ginger. The veggies were nicely cooked so they weren't too hard when you bit into them. The pad Thai noodles were slightly under cooked so they were a little more tough than usual but the dish was still very flavorful. I would definitely recommend coming here or even ordering out! I really love this spot, it's our go to at work for Thai food. But ever since Covid happened they stopped doing lunch specials. You have to pay full price as they only have one size, but the sizes are now smaller. So you're basically now paying $11 for a lunch special portion of food. Celebrated my brother and dad's birthday at this yummy Thai restaurant. The owner, Jenny, was super sweet and friendly. She made sure we were taken care of and treated like part of the family. With the 90 degree weather outside, I had to order a thai iced tea to quench my thirst. Cold, refreshing, milky, and not too overly sweet, one of the better ones I've had in a long time. Table of 9 (2 of which were my baby nephews) we devoured: 2 drunken noodles - like pad kee mao, spicy flat noodles with your choice of meat, it had the right amount of heat and the noodles weren't soggy. I would order this again. 1 pad thai - one of the fav amongst the table 2 soft shelled crab - choice of three flavors (mango, tamerin or chili basil), we opted for the chili basil, although the mango sounded really interesting. The herbs, basil and chili really permeated and the aroma made my mouth water. Let's just say, within 10 mins, both plates were gone. 1 red snapper fish - with scallion and ginger, not bad. My fam ate most of it by the time I got to it, so I only got a lil sample haha. Pineapple fried rice - it tasted like Singapore mei fun with pineapples. For me, I wasn't feeling it. Shrimp pah nan (?) - I'll have to update the name later, I know I'm butchering it. This was one of my fav dishes in this meal. This curry seemed like it was mild, but it packed a punch in the beginning, but the coconut milk and bamboo shoots cooled it down for the after taste. Really good. For dessert, they gave us mango with sweet sticky rice. Never I would like sticky rice other than dim sum but surprisingly, this was really good. I've seen this Thai spot for a couple years now and finally decided to give them a shot. My first impression is that their food was very delicious and flavorful. The spring rolls were so crunchy and when dipped in the sweet chili sauce, I just couldn't stop eating them. If you want a small appetizer, definitely try out their spring rolls. Finding the right Thai place is so difficult. Ordered Shrimp Tom Yum soup regular, Chicken Tom Kha soup large, Veggie Dumplings, and Panang Curry Chicken. I got home with a bag full of Tom Yum soup. The lid was sliced open. There was nothing in the bag they gave me to cause that. Both soups were more watery than necessary. The Large Tom Kha soup I ordered was a little over 3/4 full. I's just disappointing. The dumpling sauce was also severely watered down. The Panang Curry came in the smallest bowl I ever saw and in this case, very little sauce. Overall the flavors were adequate. BUT... I forgot to order two Thai Iced teas which I always do when I order Thai. They asked if I had cash as they only accept credit cards over ten dollars. I just spent $35 on food and didn't have cash. I asked if they could add it to my order of a minute ago. They would not accommodate me. So no Thai Iced Tea for me. I've gotten free Thai Iced Tea just while I am waiting at other restaurants. I mean, it's just more water on their already watery menu. The combination of the sweet sauce and the salty curry always reels me in. Can't go wrong with the chicken satay drown in peanut sauce either. For entrees, I love the pad see ew or the garlic duck. They fry the duck perfectly so it's super crispy on the outside while tender and moist on the inside. I swear they make it better than some michelin star restaurants. My husband and I randomly picked this small family owned establishment during an afternoon shopping spree at the thrift store across the street. There was a lunch special, so we go in and sit down. My parents have been ordering from this place for years since the owners parents managed this place. Never had issues for 10 years and have been supporting this restaurant during COVID by ordering for deliveries. Last order we placed an order for 3 items and the the portion size of one of the dishes was tiny in comparison- like half of what it should be. Unfortunately we ordered directly over the phone so we had to deal with them verbally. First we were told "first return what you received and we are sending a new one". Ok sure we will return what you sent. Then we were told "you ate half and are now returning it to us- no way its half portion". UMM it is otherwise why would we send it back? Then we were told "you cant order from this place any longer because you complain". Keep in mind in 10 years we never had any issues with this place and the dish we complained about was $12. I dont know who during COVID has the will or time to deal with return or reorders dealing with deliveries for $12 but they made us go through it and then blamed us for eating half a portion?! Our houseguests were shocked. I also let them know if they ever refuse orders its discrimination and blaming a customer is just awful business ethic. The owner started ranting about customers and asked me "what are we supposed to do- listen to each customer complain?" UM I don't know but a customer that orders from you for 10 years without issues complains about that half the portion of food is missing --- either a restaurants send you a new dish or credits you or plain and simple APOLOGIZES. None of that was offered here. Instead my parents were told never to order from them again. Once I told them I would file a complaint for discrimination is when they backed off. And still maintain we ate half the dish and returned it?! Awful business ethic. Awful customer service. Be careful and document your complains. Came here because I just had to get some thai milk tea to cool down from the hot weather. It was empty when I went in around 3, so the server made my drink in a matter of a few minutes. It definitely compares to what you can get from Sripraphai and Thailand's Center Point. Same price too of $3. I've been ordering from this place more often than I wanted to. There's another thai restaurant about 3 blocks away and it's definitely tastier, but I end up here because of my history with this restaurant and its location. My first time having thai food was right here many years ago and it still feels right to me. It's also conveniently located by the Woodside train station so this is where I go if it's cold outside and I'd much rather walk one block than 5. I'd recommend getting their curry. You can't go wrong with thai curries. I've had better pad thai and pad see ew, but it's decent here. One thing though if you're delivering, the noodle dishes don't travel well cuz it tends to dry out with each passing minute. So make sure you get these dishes when you're eating AT the restaurant and eat it fast. Works best when you're starving. The best part is the lunch specials. It comes with one spring roll and a salad that has an addictive ginger/peanut dressing. The salad is the first salad dish i was able to tolerate growing up even though I never ate my vegetables.
