Drunken noodle with Shrimp, lunch special portion... PLENTY!
Kay S.

Drunken noodles have lived up to the hype I played over in my mind from 15 years ago!! I used to get my hair done around the corner and being steps from the LIRR WOODSIDE stop this Thai food always hit the spot before or after that 5hour process of hair torture! Just today I took a friend there. We landed in LGA, took the FREE Q70 to Woodside and were in awe on every bite of the drunken noodles! A rated for cleanliness, and A++++ rating for flavor, service and simple ambiance. The lunch special MON-FRI 11-4, includes fresh spring roll and salad with the most refreshing sweet yet light peanut dressing! We jumped back on the LIRR to Jamaica and headed to JFK. The multiple modes of transport, walking, bag lugging was all rewarded with the most scrumptious comforting drunken noodles!! We also had the Calamari and boy was it fresh, lighting fried but crunchy and delicious!

Literally steps away from the Woodside LIRR Stop, I had a very tasty Drunken Noodles with Pork. The service is very fast, ideal place to eat before or after a commute.

The food is delicious and flavorful! The service is fast and efficient and the staff are sweet and friendly. The ambiance is a little ethnic and romantic with slightly dim lighting and vintage cold accents throughout the decor. My go to is the glass noodles.

Great choice for Thai in queens. We tried a few things, all had different favorites. Alll very flavorful and fresh, a bit spicy the drunken noodles. Great service, quick, well priced. Cute inside!

We happen to be in the neighborhood and decided to give the restaurant a try. The papaya salad was refreshing but very small for the price and way overdressed as the fish sauce was extremely overwhelming. The curry noodle soup had good flavor but a little too sweet and although the noodles were perfectly cooked, the chicken was so dry that I found it inedible. The green curry with chicken served with rice had great flavor but again the chicken was so dry. I'm pretty sure we made the wrong choice in protein but unfortunately I won't be back to try another protein.

I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!! Their food is absolutely authentic Thailand food! I'm really obsessed and moreover it's very cheap! But everything so great so far!! I love Larb Chicken Salad, Yum Woon Sen, Pad Gra Prao and Pad Kana!! Of course Pad Thai is my favorite as well :) And stuffs are always nice Hugely recommend this place and its really calm! Around here have so many Thailand restaurants but you should try this restaurant out then you will like it!

Quiet place to chill at, food is well seasoned and taste amazing, but the chicken is a little overcooked.

It is my first time eating here and it was great! It is a smaller intimate setting with adorable pillows on the bench seating and these beautiful leaf imprinted table tops. You would expect them to play more traditional music but the jazzy music is calming while you eat. We ordered the vegetable dumplings, fried, and they were really amazing. Even though they were fried the dumpling skin was thin enough where you didn't feel like you were stuffing your face with grease. I'm not sure what all the ingredients were but there was something soft/saucy inside that gave the dumplings a different texture than regular vegetable dumplings but were delicious regardless. I got a Garlic Sauce dish with chicken and my bf got the Chicken Pad Thai. You can't go to a Thai restaurant without getting a Thai iced tea! I love when you can really taste the tea in the drink. It was very rich and it really hit the spot. My garlic sauce dish was really enjoyable. I'm slightly obsessed with ginger so I would have liked a little more ginger, but for the average person it was the perfect amount, the ginger pieces were small enough not to shock your palate if you don't like a lot of ginger. The veggies were nicely cooked so they weren't too hard when you bit into them. The pad Thai noodles were slightly under cooked so they were a little more tough than usual but the dish was still very flavorful. I would definitely recommend coming here or even ordering out! The staff is super friendly and prices are not bad at all!

Order came out to about $55 dollars.

Ordered thru DoorDash cause my regular spot I am Thai was closed. And I'm glad I got to try it out. Every we ordered was delicious esp the crispy pork belly with veggies. Sauce was amazing. Only thing was that the portions were really small other than that I'd highly recommend this place.

Stumbled upon this place and it was pretty good. Many options to make dishes vegan or vegetarian, along with making the dishes super spicy or to your liking. The staff was great and the food was even better.

This is the best Thai restaurant I've had in America!…read more We went on Sunday around 230pm and waited about 20 minutes but right after us the line grew pretty long and was a 1 hour wait. The place is quite small. I've been chasing the raw shrimp ceviche flavors ever since I had it at a night market in Thailand and finally found a close 2nd here! It was a perfect balance of tangy and salty. They gave us a decent amount of shrimps. The tom yum soup had a kick (to the back of your throat) to it even though we asked for mild. It was tasty. The basil minced pork was also delicious with the Thai omelette completing it really well! My partner got the intestine herbal soup and it was pretty good! I wasn't in the mood for it. I had some bites of it and it wasn't smelly at all. Thai iced tea was also good and as expected. A bit too sweet for me, I wouldn't order it again.

A fellow foodie Sally W. suggested we try this local Thai place in Elmhurst, not knowing it is…read morerated a Michelin Bib-Gourmand. I was so excited to try! Pushing through the crowds waiting for a table at the door, we secured a spot just beyond the doorway. Inside, it was very cozy and tight as far as seating. The restaurant dining room is really meant for single diners or pairs of people, as the room is not wide. Any group 4+ will be difficult unless you have a reservation and they planned for it. The menu has a lot of seafood, pork and classic Thai curry dishes. Those all caught my eye. It was hard to decide. The waiter was super friendly and all smiles. We asked for his recommendations between the dishes we were thinking of and his choices were spot on. If you are a fan of spicy/dishes with heat, there are plenty on this menu. I wanted to order a few but I was afraid to given the spice level couldn't really be adjusted on some. Started with the curry puff appetizer. It was really tasty, potatoes and onion as well as the curry powder flavor really came through on this. Delicious. For entrees, we tried the: - clams with basil sauce - packed with a mild chili paste heat in the sauce but stir fried to perfect consistency. Of the whole plate, a few clams didn't open so I tossed those. - duck panang - nicely roasted with crispy textured skin, paired with basil in a coconut milk and curry paste. Very delicious. - stewed pork leg, could've been more tender so it was a tad on the tough side. The soy sauce soup and boiled egg was good though. Drinks were very good, Thai Iced tea was not overly sweet. We opted to pass on dessert as the table we sat at was really meant for two but it was three of us. I felt a little too crammed in. I think I would've enjoyed the meal better if I had a more relaxed/leisure dining pace but they were really busy and too tight on space. I can see why it's a hidden gem and noted as a Bib-Gourmand. Prices are very fair and the food was really good. Very authentic.

They definitely didn't tell me that lunch specials were available before I ordered my soup. Other than that, everyone is pleasant. Space: they have two sides, so plenty of space, but nights and weekends can get pretty packed, so keep that in mind. Food: I ordered Tom Yum soup and a lunch drunken noodle with a Thai iced tea. I only had the soup there and took the entire lunch special to go. Just based off of the soup, I will be going back. It was delicious and PACKED to the MAX! Writing this now, I can still imagine. Drunken Noodles were also really tasty. I like mine spicy and it could have been made spicier, but that's not even a real complaint. Also- the one next to me had this dish which reminded me of pad see ew but in a gravy. Looked delicious!! I will be back for whatever she had. Overall: the entire block is like a little Thai street. There are lots of Thai food options and I finally made it to Ayada. Super happy with my meal and excited to go back with some people and enjoy.

A bit different from the Thai food you're probably used to but change is sometimes good!…read moreWe had some of the best fish and chicken we've ever had and also loved the starter salad. Chicken was so so crispy and you could just head the crunch with every bite. Fish was also great and prepared really well. Staff were nice and could help you with recommendations as needed! I've been wanting to try a restaurant in New York that serves authentic Isan/Northern Thai food,…read moreand we found this spot in Queens. It's not in Manhattan, but I'm telling you -- it's worth the trip. It's located right next to Little Thailand and easy to find with Google Maps. One downside is that the space is very small. They only have four small tables for two and one larger table for 3-4 people, so it might be difficult for bigger groups unless you make a reservation. We arrived right after they opened, and not long after, the whole place was packed. Besides the size, the restaurant is really pretty and cozy. The menu is interesting and offers a wide variety of dishes -- fried, stir-fried, grilled, soups, and more. Here's what we ordered: Crab Fried Rice - We ordered it without much thought, just to try it, and it ended up being one of the best Thai dishes we've ever had. Even my husband (who is Laos/Thai) loved it. He rarely gets to eat crab because his mom has a severe allergy, so this was special for him too. (We forgot take picture lol) Crispy Pork Belly - Served super hot and crispy. I love that they battered it instead of just deep-frying it plain. It had great texture and was so flavorful. Tum Thai (Thum Mak Hoong) - We ordered it very spicy and asked if they could make it Laos-style. They tried, and it was pretty good. It was slightly lacking the strong fermented fish sauce (padek) punch that gives it that bold, pungent flavor. But honestly, it's still very close to Northern style -- just more approachable and less intense, so more people can enjoy it. Sticky Rice - Served the traditional way in a bamboo basket (aep khao) with a lid, which keeps it piping hot. I love when restaurants keep it authentic like that. We wanted to order more because there were so many options, but just three dishes were already enough for us -- we even had leftovers. They packed everything very securely; I carried the papaya salad around all day and it didn't spill at all. It is pretty pricey, but honestly, it's worth trying at least once for the quality and authenticity. We'll definitely bring his parents here next time we're back in NYC.

They serve one thing, Hainanese chicken sets with liver and gizzard, ginger fried, and a side of radish soup. The rice and the tender chicken tastes super clean and even the gizzard and liver is not covered in any unnecessary sauces. That being said, they do have some sauces on the side for you to add more flavor to your food if you are looking for more flavors or spice. The radish soup tastes so nourishing and it tastes like you're eating at home and not at a restaurant.
