This following paragraph does not change that. I am pretty disappointed when I ordered the BLT advertised as served on house made Focaccia. And honestly the combo makes the $21 price tag worth it. But the BLT was not served on focaccia, instead a standard bread. Yet we received no heads up. Again, it was great but why was there no disclaimer? Definitely would not have ordered it had there been transparency because it doesn't feel worth it. Drinks: standard cocktails but really good. Definitely worth a try. Service: they were pretty packed but everyone that tended to us was really sweet. Ambiance: very standard Bellingham small shop vibe.

It was a really clean (outside and in) + decorated cafe and easy to find (right on a street corner). They had a selection of gluten free items to eat, including gluten free focaccia which worked out great since my partner is GF. We ordered a variety of food and coffee (latte and gesha pour over) and even bought a bag of gesha beans to make coffee at home because we thought it was so good. Even though it was a Saturday morning (it was super packed) we still found a table to sit at and were able to enjoy everything. We came back a couple of days later, but we missed the food (the kitchen closes at a specific time) so we ended up getting coffee to go. I'd put this place on my list of favorite coffee shops to eat at in PNW!

Coffee took almost 10 minutes to be brought to the table after we ordered--it appeared it was the bottom of the pot with grounds at the bottom--the waitress checked on us and a few minutes later returned with a new cup full of coffee and more creamer. But my wife's cup sat empty. Hmmm. At 8:39 am food arrived and tasted fantastic; as usual. It slowed with no one waiting to be seated at 9:08 am. We sat waiting for our check for more than 10 minutes. One noisy customer could be heard throughout the restaurant. Not sure what was so funny multiple times that he had to share his annoying laughter. It wasn't pleasant nor needed.

Meaning I actually chose to be seated inside. Staff were wonderful as ever--new people to me this time: helpful and charming servers, Maysen and David, and excellent barkeep, Marko. The beverages were top notch as ever. I didn't find an old favorite on the menu, so I asked about a drink they used to have into which they infused magically with actual oiled smoke of some sort. I don't know if I ended up with that, but they brought me the Seasmoke which was so extraordinary. I loved the dry Black Cherry Cider and one other whose name I don't recall (blond...and a little citrusy nice). Truffle fries were nice. Kale Caesar Salad is scrumptious. There was only one employee working, and a few orders ahead of ours. My order took about 10 minutes since they make the waffle cone fresh on the spot. I'm not sure why it took that long, especially since they had several waffle machines. My husband's shake took even longer. Needless to say, expect a 10-20 minute wait for your order. Tip #1: You might want to skip the waffle cone with ice cream. The warm cone melted my ice cream, and it quickly turned into a mushy mess. It might help if they had some cones pre-made to cut down on wait time and prevent the ice cream from melting. The shop is cute, but the long wait time and product execution could definitely be improved.
