It's been easy to get appointment and they are very good about giving the correct estimate about time and money. I have always gone for regular service and the rates seem a bit expensive but I haven't done any comparative analysis. They do the job well. Terrifying Experience - Stay Away from This Shop if You Value Your Life! Our car's engine warning light started flashing, but the vehicle seemed to run fine and we didn't notice any problems. To ensure everything was in good shape before a long Christmas road trip, we took the car to this shop for repairs. It's important to note that just one month before, we spent over $2,000 on maintenance at this shop. This time, they charged us another $900 to "fix" the problem. However, disaster struck immediately after we picked up the car. Just after getting onto the 680 freeway, the car completely broke down in the middle of the highway. To make matters worse, even the emergency lights failed. Our entire family, including two young children, was stranded in an extremely dangerous situation with cars speeding past us. It was absolutely terrifying, and we feared for our lives. After this horrifying ordeal, we called the shop, but instead of taking responsibility or offering an apology, they tried to deflect blame. The shop owner's response to this review is full of inaccuracies and outright false claims. For example: They claimed that we mentioned the car had stalled twice before bringing it in--this never happened. The car never stalled before the repairs. And if there were still safety concerns, we would never have gone on a long road trip with our whole family. They stated that we replaced both batteries at another shop--this is also untrue. We have trusted this shop for all our repairs and maintenance over the last three years. They claimed we declined to check the charging system--this was never clearly explained as a critical safety concern, nor were we warned that unresolved issues might cause the car to break down completely. In reality, we later took the car to the dealer for a full inspection, and the charging system has no problems. Instead, they charged us $900 for what they claimed was a fix, only for the car to fail catastrophically only after one hour we picked up the car--putting my family in grave danger. This was not just poor service; it was outright negligence. To anyone considering this shop: think twice. They prioritize making money over ensuring the safety of their customers. This place the best place . My Gl450 had a breaks issue. I called and talk to Joe. He guide me and explain me everything and ask me to bring car to check. I took My car and they check and told me I just need to replace front breaks but I took two other places they told me that I need to replace all four. They ordered parts while I was talking to them and following week they fix my cars break. Price is much better than other places. They respectfully handled everything. Honest, honestly, so honest Walter is. He found the issue with our 240 stalling, previous mechanic didn't connect something but found other things to charge me for! so I said fine I'll go out of my way to Swedish motors to get the expert on Volvos to diagnose the issue. "Whoever worked on this last forgot to connect this, no charge. Just want to update you I'll figure out the wipers!" Again, previous mechanic was an idiot tax to teach me to stay the course and have specialists do work on my cars. read more

I had taken my car to the dealer for a 95k checkup. When I was at the dealer, I had complained about a noise the engine was making too since the last service with them. The dealer didn't even try to address the noise problem and I simply was not confident that they did a good job. Two weeks later, my check engine light came on. I shopped around and found this place. When I dropped the car off, I did not mention the noise. Walter was awesome. He diagnosed the problem and outline the solution in an easy to understand way. They fixed the problem quicky and upon returning the car he mentioned the noise the dealer had ignored and said I should look at it for the next service, that it was most likely tensioner berrings. This past weekend, I packed up my Volvo XC 70 and headed out on vacation with friends. Two minutes into our journey, a friend asked if she could get something out of the cooler in the back of the station wagon. We stopped and (gasp!) could not open the gate! (It would have been a terribly inconvenient thing to arrive at our destination and not be able to unload the trunk.) After 14 years of dealership-only service I decided it was time to stop spending so much money on maintaining and repairing my car. I am the original owner of a 2005 Volvo S40. I took it in for the 157,500 mile service and to have a heater hose replaced. Also had another problem diagnosed, which turned out to be nothing. Walter took good care of me. He was good at explaining everything to me and assured me that some of the problems I was having were no big deal. I needed a rental a car so Walter called Enterprise and they came to his shop to pick me up. Since many auto shops in the area give Enterprise business, they have discounted rates for customers. Save about $30 over 2 days. The lights for my gauges were starting to fail. Since they were LEDs integrated into a circuit board, it was beyond their ability. Walter referred me to an electrical specialist who works on mostly Volvos. I also asked for a referral for upholstery, and he had a great recommendation for me. So far I have been impressed with their work, too. I highly recommend this shop! I found them on Yelp. They had the best reviews, so I gave them a try. I absolutely don't regret it. read more

I've taken five Volvos here over the last 20 years ('90 780 Turbo, '91 245, '97 850, '99 C70, '99 V70R) and wouldn't consider taking them anywhere else. The 850, in particular, runs smoother and more powerfully today than it did when it was brand new (135K miles ago). Walter and his team know the cars and how to keep them running at their best.
