Wow! They fixed my car!!!! After taking my beloved 2006 Mazda3 hatchback to two other mechanics I had trusted, who could not find the issue, Mr.Mazda came to the rescue! I had a grinding sound when accelerating coming from the passenger side near the engine and my other mechanic thought it was a wheel bearing, had it replaced and the issue still persisted so I decided to go to a place that actually specialized in Mazda's and they pinpointed the issue, three engine mounts that were at their end of life and a broken coolant reservoir - they were shocked the other mechanics didn't find these earlier. After picking up my car today no more issues and my car is driving like new!! I'm so glad I came here and will be a repeat customer. I brought in my newly purchased 2022 Mazda Miata for service check up. Mr Mazda found that Costco, who recently install new tires, did not tighten one of the wheels, which explains a strange sound I was hearing. I am very thankful Mr. Mazda was able to get me in and out of their shop for an oil change. The first time I came they were extremely helpful in solving a issue from a different mechanic(that does not work with them). They treat you like family and everyone is courteous and friendly. I am so glad they are around to make things easy. Clean shop and waiting area. Covid-19 measures are in place. Gave recommendations after oil change but was not pushy about getting them done. Overall an excellent experience! On a side note they will replace the battery for your key fob for a Mazda for a very decent price. A lot better than the other places. It seems like the crew is just trying to make an honest living and know that being honest with your customers is the way to have the customers come back. I was stumped if the issue was from my engine or transmission. I honestly was short on time and needed someone to look at it quickly and repair it quickly. Came in to get to get my spark plugs, ignition coils, and wires replaced on my RX-8 the other day and it was a decent, albeit somewhat odd experience... Spoke with Mike over the phone and he shared his preference for grabbing parts from the local Mazda dealership as he makes profit off of the OEM parts and would charge the book rate on labor, vs a marked up labor rate if I bought the parts from the Mazda counter. To my surprise, Mike put in NGK parts which were OEM in theory, but not what I asked for, which were parts from the Mazda counter. Scheduling was also bizarre as he booked me for an afternoon slot and suggested that I come in earlier, which I did, only to see him run out to see his daughter that just got out of the hospital... A good return experience! I returned back to Mr Mazda when I had a breakdown and didn't have the time or energy to do some repairs (and a mod) that I had put off on completing myself. This set of jobs (clutch hydraulics replacement, drive belts, fuel filter, and brake fluid) was completed quickly and, as as far as I can tell, properly. Mike had read my previous review and we chatted about it, with him showing no ill will and again apologizing for the issues I had encountered. While my previous experiences are still valid, I would like to reiterate that this is a fair and ethical shop, and that is an extremely rare and valuable trait to have. Internally, I have adjusted my rating from a 3.5 to 4 stars given their excellent mentality regarding feedback and this successful recent set of work. While I will be continuing to perform small jobs myself or at a more economical shop, I will be returning for any work I need done that I feel is worth paying the premium for specialist attention, with the hope that they can sustain the strong performance of my last job. read more

I experienced a water pump failure on my 1990 Mazda Miata. Tim was able to fix that and also found other troublesome issues that the previous owner had left with the car. He was able to remedy all of them and also informed me of some other less urgent problems that may arise just so I can keep an eye on them. Hands down the most knowledgeable and passionate mechanic i've had the pleasure of doing service with. To top it all off, the price for all the parts and labor was very very good. My only regret is that I live 4 hours away from Mr. Mazda. I wish he had lived in my area because he would definitely be my mechanic. 5/5 would recommend to all. Don't waste your time going to Pep Boys or any other chain as they use inferior parts as well as a lack of passion/knowledge in your specific Mazda vehicle. For more nerdy aspects, keep reading. As a Miata enthusiast, I highly praise Tim. My specific year Miata has something called a Short Nose Crank. It is prone to failure unlike later year Miatas. The fact that he did that for me, let alone even knew about it, I knew that I was in good hands. Any other shop would not have done that for me.
