I went in for an oil change and to ask some questions about the routine maintenance. They were helpful at first but quickly changed the tone of the conversation into serious/urgent to flag "needed" repairs. First they told me that my front tires were balding and close to 1/32 tread, needing replacement almost immediately. I thought this was odd because I replaced those tires no more than a year ago. I don't drive aggressively and I've made sure my alignment was correct. I included photos of both the flagged tires to show they are nowhere close to 1/32. Then they told me that the rear shocks also needed to be replaced because one of them was leaking. I'm aware of what a leaking shock looks like, but I wanted to trust them. I confirmed with 3 other shops that they were fine and not leaking. Together these would have costed me over a thousand dollars in unnecessary repairs, leaving me extremely disappointed and frustrated with this shop. The oil change was fast/proper. I no longer trust this location anymore and think others should be aware of what they're doing

They said it still needs inspection and will be charged accordingly. I promptly left. It turned out that Check engine light was on because gas cap wasn't properly secured. A familiar tech scanned it in first two minutes of my arrival. Behavior like this instantly breaks trust. This location never will see any of my cars. Hopefully owner will take a notice of it.

Our Honda CR-V was long overdue for repairs. David had identified the issues over a year ago, but…read moreunplanned personal and financial challenges delayed our ability to move forward. The needed work included inner and outer tie rods, a rear control arm, and a wheel alignment. I made an appointment with David the day before and drove an hour and a half to his shop the next day. As soon as we arrived, David and his crew jumped right into the work, replacing the tie rods. During the process, they identified additional issues that needed attention. Based on David's recommendation, we agreed to replace the rear sway bar link and bushing. Sensing that we were financially stretched, David generously waived the labor charges for installing these parts -- something my wife and I truly appreciated. When the parts store quoted a three-hour delivery time (after we had already been there for three hours), David wasn't satisfied with the delay and personally went to pick up the parts himself. Once the parts arrived, his crew hustled to get everything installed. The difference is night and day. Our CR-V now drives like a new car -- no more rattling, better steering control, and no more steering wheel jerking at highway speeds. I can actually hear myself think while driving again. We fully intend to return to Calderon's within the next couple of months for our next project: replacing all four tires. They have a great selection of brands, and I'm leaning toward Michelin or Pirelli. David and the entire Calderon crew do outstanding work. No worries, will be there by end of day, can put on the car Friday morning. Arrive Friday, tires are there, everyone is friendly and helpful, and my car was good to go in an hour (they were a bit on the busy side). Topped off my fluids, checked the air pressure in all the tires, inc the donut that was on the car when I brought it in. At checkout, no hidden fees or switcheroos - I paid exactly what I was quoted the day before. Everyone was helpful, friendly, efficient, and worked cleanly. I've had terrible service at tire centers in the past, and was mentally ready to "do battle", but everything went like clockwork.
