This is for a several month old visit but I think these guys deserve the praise. I took my laptop into them with a suspected fried hard drive. Sure enough that's exactly what it was. I had a second hard drive in the laptop already so it wasn't necessary to purchase a new one but they placed it in the C drive slot and installed Windows 10 on it for me. It was overnight service and they only charged me $80. A few days later I received an automated text message from them making sure everything was still ok. It was a nice touch. I just remembered that I hadn't written an amazing review for this place like I wanted to, checked their Yelp page, and realized I didn't have to because they have all 5 star reviews! Anyway, I had a half-eaten flash drive that I used for work (that's what I get for not leaving bones out for my huskies while running an errand) and they miraculously got all of the information off of it within their originally stated time frame, kept me informed throughout the process, and charged me wayyy less than the original quote. They were super friendly and didn't treat me like I didn't know what I was talking about when we got into conversations about other "techy" stuff. They "repaired" my computer several months back. The hard drive was fried, and despite the window saying "Data Recovery," they said they couldn't get anything off of it. The computer has had a pattern of overheating and shutting itself down ever since. I just went in regarding my iPod, which, admittedly, is an older model. It has a docking problem wherein it will take a charge, but the computer won't recognize it. The window also indicates "Apple Product Repair," along with the corporate logo, you see. They told me there was nothing they could do, that they could neither repair the dock nor get any information off of the hard drive in the iPod. Did I mention the window proclaims that they do "Data Recovery?" They sent me to Cell Phone Repair (CPR) on California and Oak, who told me that if I wanted the data off of it, I would have to find ANOTHER, identical, working iPod and they would switch the hard drive into the other iPod. They said THEY would not locate the part, that I had to do it myself. What a waste of time, from both stores. I wouldn't use either again. read more

On top of that your computer isn't going to sit in a queue for days at a time. 95% of the time it's going up on the bench for tests the second it gets checked in which means quick turnaround. Their diagnostic fee is half that of your major retail big box stores and all of the services are on par or are cheaper than most anywhere else. It really is the best value for your money and I send all of my close friends and relatives there especially for complicated repairs like broken laptop screens or broken DC jacks (where the power goes in on your laptop.) read more

I took our laptop to SWAT PC because it was infected with a virus. Friendly service and laptop was returned initially on time. :) But I had to take it back. The reason why I am giving 3 stars is because of their lack of attention to detail. I had 3 user profiles, and when it was given back to me my profiles were gone. Tech added 2 of the three back, but after the second time my laptop wasn't quite the same. The widgets weren't working anymore either and previously were. Yes the virus was gone and computer works. Can't comfortably give higher than a 3 star review. Per other reviews this was my first choice. In the end I was disappointed. I didn't want to keep taking back. read more

I'm not good at writing reviews, so I'm going to give a very loosely-scripted version of my experience with this mighty fine business. Be me, a man in need of a hard drive swap. I call SWAT PC and was like "Hay I need a hard drive swap." The Guy was like "Ya? What is the type of your computer?" I was like "It is a Apple Mac Mini. I'd do it, but I have really fat hands and need someone with tiny Mac Mini-like hands. Can you do it?" The Guy was like "Ya. It'll be between $60 and $120. That cool?" I was all like "Ya" and dropped it off along with my power cord and spare drive. One day later The Guy calls me and I sent him to voicemail because I don't like to answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. He left a voicemail and said something like "Hay this is The Guy. Our tiny-handed person swapped out your hard drive. Please give us $60, which is the best price possible." and I was like "That's cool because they got it done really fast at the lowest price possible. What a great business with honest professionALS." I picked up my Mac Mini and power cord. My power cord was tied together with an awesome velcro cable organizer that they gave to me for free I think. My Mac Mini runs one billion percent faster now and I also have a velcro cable organizer which is awesome. 10/5 stars. read more

My ancient desktop, like life-loyal retriever, finally stopped. I was not prepared. Like any unreasonable pet parent, I rushed it over to SWAT PC to see if there was anything they could do. They were friendly and sympathetic. Four days pass. Finally, on the 5th day, they called and said that the were stumped as to what to do. It was beyond old, beyond corrupted, but they said they wouldn't give up. The weekend passes. More days pass. Finally they told me the obvious truth: my desktop was dead. However, someone had abandoned another desktop and it needed a home. They transferred as much data as they could, presented it to me, and only charged me a transfer fee.
