I have used them for years and are always awesome. Cleaned my brand new Mac and old pc up after I somehow managed to have many viruses and malware and screw up my new computer. Perfect for those who are not computer savvy. Always patient and honest. read more

I had a 2010 Macbook that I spilled some water on. Took it to BestBuy and they practically laughed at me and said "this is a Vintage Macbook, we don't have these parts"... i was confused by the word vintage in this instance but left and called it a day. Went to SWAT PC and immediately the guys were eager to help and let me know they'd be able to order me the parts i need, and described in full detail what needed to be fixed and if they come across any other issues they'd call me. They found some other issues (it is a 10 yr old laptop so it's to be expected) and described what needed to be done to get them fixed. They went above and beyond with customer service, they even provided photos of the damage that needed to be fixed. The laptop was ready in 3 business days (because of the shipping of parts) and they only charged me $150! I needed a whole knew keyboard, a battery, and a exhaust fan. They were super helpful with every aspect from start to finish. Couldn't appreciate them more! read more

This is for a several month old visit but I think these guys deserve the praise. I took my laptop into them with a suspected fried hard drive. Sure enough that's exactly what it was. I had a second hard drive in the laptop already so it wasn't necessary to purchase a new one but they placed it in the C drive slot and installed Windows 10 on it for me. It was overnight service and they only charged me $80. A few days later I received an automated text message from them making sure everything was still ok. It was a nice touch. I would definitely take my machine to these guys again. read more

Best service ever! Always come here when there's a problem with a laptop or any PC. They have never let me down, can't say enough. They will do what it takes to get your business back up and running. read more

SWAT PC - Downtown at SWAT - IT Services & Computer Repair Near Me - Bakersfield, California

Upstanding place & service! These guys (Thanks to James!) really know what they are doing and go the extra mile, in a friendly relaxed way. Not only is service expert and fast, but the price is also fair and they take time to educate you. A friend recommended them to me, and I am passing it on. Highly recommend this place if you ever are in any kind of PC/IT trouble. Thank you guys. read more

They're the best in town. Fast, friendly, communicative, and reasonable prices. I would recommend this place.

Added a new GPU and PSU into an old rig, and POST wouldn't start up. Came in today and met Brent, and he fixed the issue in 2 hours. Definitely recommend this place! read more

I called SWAT PC when I had been scammed by some "tech company" scaring me into thinking my laptop had been infected with viruses. (PS if you get a pop up alert telling you your PC is infected DO NOT CALL THAT PHONE NUMBER!) James at SWAT PC was so kind and helpful. He really hated to hear what I had been thru. I left my laptop with him so he could give it a thorough cleaning and delete any bogus files attached to it. A day later I got the call that my laptop was ready. I highly recommend James and the SWAT PC team. They are definitely be my go to guys! read more

I just remembered that I hadn't written an amazing review for this place like I wanted to, checked their Yelp page, and realized I didn't have to because they have all 5 star reviews! Anyway, I had a half-eaten flash drive that I used for work (that's what I get for not leaving bones out for my huskies while running an errand) and they miraculously got all of the information off of it within their originally stated time frame, kept me informed throughout the process, and charged me wayyy less than the original quote. They were super friendly and didn't treat me like I didn't know what I was talking about when we got into conversations about other "techy" stuff. I will definitely be going back to this place for any tech needs. read more

They "repaired" my computer several months back. The hard drive was fried, and despite the window saying "Data Recovery," they said they couldn't get anything off of it. The computer has had a pattern of overheating and shutting itself down ever since. I just went in regarding my iPod, which, admittedly, is an older model. It has a docking problem wherein it will take a charge, but the computer won't recognize it. The window also indicates "Apple Product Repair," along with the corporate logo, you see. They told me there was nothing they could do, that they could neither repair the dock nor get any information off of the hard drive in the iPod. Did I mention the window proclaims that they do "Data Recovery?" They sent me to Cell Phone Repair (CPR) on California and Oak, who told me that if I wanted the data off of it, I would have to find ANOTHER, identical, working iPod and they would switch the hard drive into the other iPod. They said THEY would not locate the part, that I had to do it myself. What a waste of time, from both stores. I wouldn't use either again. read more

These gentlemen are professional and very responsive to all our business needs. They are conveniently located Downtown and if I have a question or problem I can just walk over to their shop. Iv definitely had some dumb questions but they always treat me with respect and answer any and all dumb questions I highly recommend them and have been using their remote services as well. read more

This place is easily the best computer repair shop in Bakersfield. Brent and Sid are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. On top of that your computer isn't going to sit in a queue for days at a time. 95% of the time it's going up on the bench for tests the second it gets checked in which means quick turnaround. Their diagnostic fee is half that of your major retail big box stores and all of the services are on par or are cheaper than most anywhere else. It really is the best value for your money and I send all of my close friends and relatives there especially for complicated repairs like broken laptop screens or broken DC jacks (where the power goes in on your laptop.) read more

These guys are amazing! We had a pc tower and a laptop that didn't work. We brought them in a on a Saturday and the the tower was ready within a few days and the laptop took about a week. They repaired all my issues on both components and the price was amazing for the time they put in. Thank you, SWAT PC!! read more

They're always pretty honest and forthcoming with any and all knowledge, this always puts me at ease when putting my work life in their hands! These folks helped me with a new build rig that refused to POST. What a great operation. Brought in my sick PC, and within minutes they already had a diagnosis and treatment plan to put it back to work. Their attention to customer services raises the bar to a whole different level than what you would expect from the Big Box boys. Their prices are in line with our economy. Big words for affordable!. Turn around was less than one day, and I am up and running faster than ever. Their shop is clean, and parking is always accessible right out front or just around the corner. They also send text alerts as to the status of the repair. I can attest that more work will be coming their way, even if it is just a tune-up to my other computers and driver upgrades. read more

It's so hard to find a place near me that's trustworthy these guys have been beyond amazing every time I've had to take either a work pc or kids devices. Customer service is on a another level ! read more

I took our laptop to SWAT PC because it was infected with a virus. Friendly service and laptop was returned initially on time. :) But I had to take it back. The reason why I am giving 3 stars is because of their lack of attention to detail. I had 3 user profiles, and when it was given back to me my profiles were gone. Tech added 2 of the three back, but after the second time my laptop wasn't quite the same. The widgets weren't working anymore either and previously were. Yes the virus was gone and computer works. Can't comfortably give higher than a 3 star review. Per other reviews this was my first choice. In the end I was disappointed. I didn't want to keep taking back. read more

I'm not good at writing reviews, so I'm going to give a very loosely-scripted version of my experience with this mighty fine business. Be me, a man in need of a hard drive swap. I call SWAT PC and was like "Hay I need a hard drive swap." The Guy was like "Ya? What is the type of your computer?" I was like "It is a Apple Mac Mini. I'd do it, but I have really fat hands and need someone with tiny Mac Mini-like hands. Can you do it?" The Guy was like "Ya. It'll be between $60 and $120. That cool?" I was all like "Ya" and dropped it off along with my power cord and spare drive. One day later The Guy calls me and I sent him to voicemail because I don't like to answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. He left a voicemail and said something like "Hay this is The Guy. Our tiny-handed person swapped out your hard drive. Please give us $60, which is the best price possible." and I was like "That's cool because they got it done really fast at the lowest price possible. What a great business with honest professionALS." I picked up my Mac Mini and power cord. My power cord was tied together with an awesome velcro cable organizer that they gave to me for free I think. My Mac Mini runs one billion percent faster now and I also have a velcro cable organizer which is awesome. 10/5 stars. read more

My ancient desktop, like life-loyal retriever, finally stopped. I was not prepared. Like any unreasonable pet parent, I rushed it over to SWAT PC to see if there was anything they could do. They were friendly and sympathetic. Four days pass. Finally, on the 5th day, they called and said that the were stumped as to what to do. It was beyond old, beyond corrupted, but they said they wouldn't give up. The weekend passes. More days pass. Finally they told me the obvious truth: my desktop was dead. However, someone had abandoned another desktop and it needed a home. They transferred as much data as they could, presented it to me, and only charged me a transfer fee. We have been together ever since. Thank you SWAT PC for your understanding, expertise, and care!!! read more

If they can't fix it, nobody can ..... and, at a resonable cost. Couldn't ask for better!

I brought in my MacBook pro to have the battery swapped. He finished in 10 mins. Great customer service.

I had to get some parts switched out and had heard great things about this place from a family friend. Steve was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt. They had no issue installing my new processor and it was ready the very next day at a price that's reasonable. If I have any other issues, I'll definitely be going back to these guys! read more
