Just passing through Billings and found a super fun candy store! The store was visually appealing…read morewith colorful displays and a ton of variety to choose from. There was a window full of truffles, hand made chocolates, and caramel apples. They had some delicious samples to try too. They had a soda shop area with seats to enjoy your treats. We had a lot of fun looking at the different bins full of candies that were unique. We grabbed a mix of treats before we headed out. We loved this store. The sweetest part of the experience was Russ, the employee that answered all our questions and helped us with our selections. He was the highlight of our visit. He provided the best service , and had a dynamite personality. We would visit again. Reasonable prices and worth the stop.

I brought my 3 daughters and that was a challenge, but we stayed for about 90 minutes and purchased three sets of items, as we sat at the convenient old school soda fountain tables and ate all the goodies. Everyone was really nice there, but the only one I caught the name of was PJ who was running the soda fountain area. She was super friendly and very helpful. We spent quite a while conversing with her about sweets and whatever else. This place is large. Yes it's pretty pricey, but there's so many choices. It was amazing to see. Not only do they have nearly every candy you can imagine, but they also have ice cream and they make milkshakes, and specialty sodas. I thought a neat touch also, was the fact that they have a bunch of games you can use to play at the tables for family fun. Uno and sorry and things like that. Good to keep you in there and eating more sweets! Haha. The whole ambiance reminded me of the classic 1950s candy and malt shop. Overall, well done. Good times. Enjoy them while you still can.

Emmett's Meats (by Stillwater Packing Co) has a retail location at this small store…read more Perhaps it's the time of year, not yet full summer, but the selection of meats is probably not typical. The coolers in the back of the store have both frozen and refrigerated beef products in the usual things: ribs, steaks in various cuts, and some sausages. What I noticed almost immediately was the meat package sizes varied from those best for a big get together, but also for a couple who doesn't want/need leftovers. This was most unusual, but a welcome change, from many places. The store also carries a lot of montana-made or montana-branded items. Jellies, jams, honey, pancake, brownie and cookie mixes, syrups and many of them with the montana-standard huckleberry flavor. In the other half of the shop are the traditional montana-themed gifts: t-shirts, hats, pens, toys -- in other words, the types of things tourists want to get as a momento or as a gift for those living elsewhere. Emmett's Meats is a deceptive title, because while it has its signature item, there's a much more here for tourists on their way elsewhere. Or even for locals picking up a last minute gift on their way to somewhere else.

The meat is always good, and in my opinion better than pioneer in big timber. In addition to beef, they have hams, pork sausage, and since it's close to Thanksgiving, smoked turkeys. I've purchased half a hog and eighth of beef in the past. Prices are better than most. Just picked up ground buffalo for $9/lb and a rib roast for $12.31/lb. They have a lot of spices and other accessories for purchase too. They also take cards.
