This restaurant was surprisingly delicious. we stopped in for a quick dinner. I had the buffalo ravioli. The cream sauce was delicious. It has asparagus cut up in it that I thought were green onions multiple times and was disappointed each time. My partner had the stroganoff and really enjoyed it. The sauce was creamy and peppery. Exactly what you want. No complaints about this place. Wheelchair accessibility. There are a few ADA parking spots close by, I can't tell you about the main entrance because we didn't find it so we ended up coming in a side entrance. The side entrance door was a little bit heavy as was the bathroom door. The path of travel was a little bit tight but doable and there are a variety of seating options available. The setting was very relaxing! I stopped by and was gone within 30 minutes. I got a huckleberry Italian soda with little to no flavor other than the dairy. The food had come out very fast! I was pleasantly surprised and happy. To start, I had a cup of creamy potato & bacon soup that was barely warm. It was still good so I ate it all! I barely got done when my main entree came out! Beef stroganoff that looked so good! I was disappointed with the lack of flavor but once again... I was more disappointed with the barely warm food! I have 2 stars for how fast their service was! Our "server" doubled as the bartender, he was so distracted chatting up off the clock employees that we had to flag down another waitress to get our drinks refilled. The name has changed but the interior is substantially the same and so is the atmosphere; The menu, both food and available local brews, have had a few tweaks, with enough new things to make it seem like a new place and enough items from the former to not disappoint those who liked some of the prior menu. With that, the food was okay and it's clear the employees are still getting used to the new menus. I expect as that the hiccups work themselves out, Copper Onion will get better. Of the items I tried. the food was either good or a "meh". The grilled cheese sandwich, with a perfectly crispy toasted bread and pancetta nicely balanced by the Havarti cheese, was delicious and worth every tasty bite. For something different. I ordered a scaled-down size of the smothered fries. The fries were good, but the brown gravy was a let-down. A gelatinous mess that added nothing in the way of flavor and in fact detracted from the fries which were otherwise hot and nicely fried. Overall, Copper Onion is okay and when the weather gets better, their outdoor seating is going to make it easy to overlook the glitches. read more

Went here for Easter brunch buffet, it was extremely disappointing. The food was awful, the set up was bad, it felt very last minute and thrown together. It was not well thought out. There were odd dishes that people had no idea what they were. Food items were not being replenished, the bacon was soggy and undercooked sitting in a puddle of grease, the biscuits were doughy, the prime rib was so rare we couldn't eat it, the "desserts" were just various store bought bars and cookies, not even good ones lol. They were serving lox but no bagels? The red onion to accompany the lox were old and dry, not to mention they had deviled eggs and lox sitting out for a period of time not being chilled. My $3 cup of coffee was basically brown water, no flavor. The Mac and cheese was bland and mushy! All that for $40 per person! It was so overpriced. I felt ripped off, not to mention upset because we were really looking forward to celebrating the holiday there. Honestly, one of the worst dining experiences. Maybe their normal dinner service is better, but I'm not willing to ever go back. read more

I asked for the cheese pizza and it looked like pizza hut pizza, but was way better since pizza hut decided to change their dumb menu and how they made their pizza like what the heck like seriously why did pizza hut do that I used to love it so much like that is actually so annoying now I have to resort to dominos most of the time like what the heck. Anyways, the food was great. The service was great. The guy I got was very friendly and funny. He cracked some jokes, and he also have very good memory because he went to like 5 different tables before me, and remembered all of their orders, and mine. My wife and I went here to meet some out of town friends for lunch. It's a place we wanted to try but hadn't yet so when our friends wanted to meet us for lunch, we suggested this establishment. Our server was possibly the owner or manager and he was excellent. He made sure we were seated in a place of our choosing where we could visit with less distractions. The atmosphere was vey pleasant and the menu has all kinds of variety. They have a wonderful variety of beers and wines. The server named off a couple specials that both sounded very tasty and I had one of them which was a gourmet burger cooked to perfection with different cheeses, their own homemade bbq sauce, caramel onions and a dill pickle. They make their own potato chips and they two are delicious. Our server checked back with us often to see if we need a drink refills or any other services and he was very attentive to what we wanted or needed. I would definitely go back because there are many different things on the menu that I would enjoy and it's always nice to go to a place where the service is top-notch. If you were looking for a place to sit outside, this place has that too. I can highly recommend the Copper Onion for a good meal. read more

First, I want to say that the food was delicious! It was well prepared and tasted great. However, I felt the menu was overpriced. I ordered the Cajun Mahi and Crab. This plate cost $40 and there was very little crab on the plate. As you can see in the picture, it's a fish fillet with a little crab sprinkled on top. For that much money, I was expecting a good portion of crab. The risotto that it came with was delicious though. Great food, great service, but it ain't cheap. read more

Reading the menu and the better reviews on Yelp, we expected at least a decent food experience at Copper Onion. First impression, attractive and comfortable venue. When we arrived, the hostess was lovely and cordial. The woman who cared for us was also incredibly polite, supportive and kind. Our experience with the food was far less impressive. French onion soups needed just a couple of minutes more under the broiler just to melt and bubble the cheese. The steak and noodles salad was a complete disappointment. After our server set it on the table, I couldn't find any noodles. Neither could she. When she brought it back from the kitchen, there were several small, slimy clumps of extremely overcooked and sticky globs of noodles in it. Yuck.... The steak was ordered medium rare. The cook sent out well done lumps of what could be best described as poor quality stew meat. The chicken on the southwest salad was clearly overcooked too. Again, lovely server and hostess. Our server Hayden T was awesome! Answered questions and offered recommendations, and was quick to offer refills. The kitchen staff, however, were less than stellar. Six of our group of seven were served at the same time. My chicken salad "wasn't ready" for at least another five minutes, and I wouldn't have called it a Chicken Salad given the small portion of meat. Two of the three burgers that were ordered were over salted. A loaded baked potato had nothing on it; Hayden quickly brought out the toppings, except the kitchen "couldn't find the butter". By the time it was found, the potato was cold. (It was reheated and returned to the table.) The giant cookie ordered for dessert was rock hard and was served with only about two tablespoons of ice cream! (We did get a second cookie with two good-sized scoops of ice cream.) The flourless chocolate torte was fantastic. Hayden thanked us for our patience several times and we assured her that, since she was not the chef, it was not her problem. read more

I have been debating whether or not to write this review for a few weeks now, but I have decided to write it to allow people to know about my experiences. The food was quite good and came out in a timely manner. It was a bit expensive in my opinion but that's just the world we live in now. The atmosphere was good loud but not overbearing and we were still able to have a conversation. Unfortunately the service was absolutely horrible. It was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had out at a restaurant. Our server this younger gal Mariah was so rude to us. To make matters worse she could not provide us good clear answers to our questions regarding the menu and all of the answers she provided were so filled with attitude. When she brought our food she ignored us when we asked for extra ranch and then never came back to check on us until we were done with our food. We were ignored for a majority of our meal.My wife was so angry with our server that she said that she will never return due to feeling so unwelcome and disrespected by our server. In all my experiences I rarely write reviews but this experience was so awful that I felt the need to let the public know. I hope their management sees this and has a talk with that server because an attitude like that has no place in a restaurant. read more

Took a friend here tonight and service was awful, fries were cold and burger was mediocre. Was so disappointed as I hyped this place up to so many! Would have asked for a re-fire on all, but that would have required the waitress to come over more than once every 45 minutes. Won't be back to try again for awhile.
