We don't live anywhere nearby, but when we drive through Billings we ALWAYS make a point to come here. The beer and food are great, wonderful atmosphere, great people, yard games, clean bathrooms, and very friendly service. It's close by to the hotels and the parking is so easy, what more could you ask for? I had the steak frites this time and it was a perfect medium rare, flavorful and beautifully plated, good portion sizes. I can't wait to come back! read more

Traveling and staying in nearby hotel. Excellent all around. Service fantastic, food great, from appetizers to main entrees. Atmosphere is fun. Facility very clean. Parking and access easy. Was very windy, otherwise the patio/outside area looks amazing. A must to try. We will definitely be back and recommend to others! Shout out to Kensi D who was helpful with recommendations and provided the wonderful service! read more

Food was good. However my cauliflower salad had no cauliflower. I only noticed this when I got home as it was a pickup order.

BAM has a local vibe with a limited menu but a large selection of craft beers and wines. No house beer available, only NA. The outdoor seating area is large and the east side of the building allows for full shade in the afternoon and evening. read more

We really like this place. Great outdoor area and the same inside. The food was delicious. We have not had a bad meal yet. Shared steak frites and the fried cauliflower salad. Both were delicious. The patio faces east so it would have been fine to sit there but we opted inside. Service was great. Oh and if they have the strawberry mule on the menu, I highly recommend it as well. read more

Great beer!!! Me and my girlfriend were road tripping to Canada and swung by this place. The beer was the best I had on the trip, up to that point. Also, hats off to our waiter. He had six tables inside and four outside and was the only waiter/server/busier and this is a big restaurant. Now the bad, the food wasn't for us. I could see how people would like it though. Next, as previously mentioned, one waiter, please hire some staff I felt horrible for the guy. Finally, no flights???? You call yourself a brewery??? read more

We finally made it to By All Means! It was a beautiful night with great weather so we enjoyed the outside seating. The server was attentive and helpful. We didn't have the appetite for a full meal, so we just ordered the (delicious) chips and dip, and it was huge; we couldn't even finish it all. It was a great experience! We will be back soon. read more

Amazing beers! Had a 3 beer flight. Also Had the chips and dip! The cheese was all melted and caramelized. Shrimp tacos were delicious. Mango habenero salsa has a sweet and spicy flavor. Everything outstanding! read more

Great brewery with an ultra modern look. Looked like beers may be expensive due to the building. Not so. Nice area inside, lots of room, started to get crowded when we left. Beer was top notch. The two gals serving were wonderful, listening to out story of driving to the Florida Keys. We didn't eat, but one server showed us some food coming out of the kitchen and it looked fantastic. Highly recommended. read more

By All Means Brewing - Groovis Hazy and Zamora West Coast IPAs, - Brewpubs Near Me - Billings, Montana

Note: I didn't eat there so rating will Be for beer and service only. And in a word, both were A+. I had two fantastic IPAs. Montana is renowned for its craft beer, and it's fair to put By All Means right at the top. Ans id it's possible, the service was even better. Welcoming, everyone smiled, prompt, and they called me by name. Fantastic. read more

So good!! The beer, the food, the staff. We sat inside but it looks like they have some outdoor games. It is also a kid friendly space. I got the chicken tinga tacos and my husband got the mahi mahi. I couldn't pick a favorite they were both so good. And we split a cauliflower toasted crispy chickpea salad. It was so fresh and tasty!! Highly recommend!! read more

A brewery where you can't fill a growler... enough said. I've never heard of anything like it.

A much larger facility than I imagined.. Great design inside and out, very clean and modern.. big open and airy. Lots of seating inside and outside. Numerous choices on tap so we decided on a flight to try a few. For $10 you get three 6 ounce pours on a cool flight board. Although we didn't eat the menu and the food leaving the kitchen looked fantastic. The bartenders were great and they took care of the bar patrons and the tables. Service was stellar, beers were good and we loved the ambiance. Would definitely come back to try more beer and the food. read more

Incredible food, incredible craft beers, and incredible staff. Definitely stop by this place! For appetizer, I highly recommend trying the wings which are flavorful and smoky, served lollipop style. For my entrée I had the blackened mahi mahi tacos which also had a spicy pineapple jalapeño sauce which paired perfectly with the fish. The beers were phenomenal, and they have something for every palate. I recommend doing the tasting flight so you can sample a few. My favorite was the refreshing Lucent Bond. The setting is clean, modern, and there is a nice patio and space for yard games outside. The bartenders were amazing and made our experience extra special. We will be back for when they get more Bamberry IPA! read more

First time coming here for dinner and it was absolutely amazing. Great environment and such friendly staff. If anyone is looking for a good time to chill and socialize this is the place to go! And on top of that the food AND dessert was AMAZING! I couldn't decide what was better the food or dessert!! read more

Customer service is excellent, and if you're like me, this is the first thing you notice when you walk into a place. Kyra was awesome, offering me samples of beers i wouldn't have thought to ask about. The beers were very good. The Exklusiv Lager was almost too smooth of a finish, ie, i wanted a bit more of that amber flavor. But the Marzen with its apple pie flavor and Grand Olde Ale at 13.9% made up for any lack of flavor. I got a bottle each for family xmas! they have ipas and sours, but i didn't try those. I really enjoyed the ambiance. It's a modern building, very clean, and not a TV in sight. thank god. i was at a brewery the day prior that has been compared to a chuck e. cheese, and i'm trying to avoid those. i also didn't try the food, but it looked good. because the beers I tried were barrel-aged, they were a bit pricier than some breweries, but you get what you pay for. My three beers, each at 6 ounces, was $4, $6, $9. For the flavor and ABV, i found it reasonable. and did i mention the great service? read more

5 of 5 no doubt.... I love the open space and the unassumingly modern vibes with an industrial touch of the venue. The food is absolutely fantastic and so is the beer selection. While they only serve beer at the moment, they do have plans to offer wine during the summer. Be aware they only serve alcohol until 8pm. Regardless of that, the staff is extremely friendly and my favorite dish here was the Steak Frites. If you are around the area, go visit this place! read more

Cute place and we liked the grassy area where kids can play on nicer days. I had the Mahi tacos which were $18 and pretty spicy. I was able to eat about half before the heat was too much for me to handle. Husband had the burger that was filling and salty. We have had a fun time here and were really bummed by the management. They overcharged us for the mango mojitos that came out as $7 but were $5 on the menu on the tab. Our son has an allergy and we thought it was initially nice when the manager came out and offered to make him a meal that was egg and dairy free until we found out that he told the waitress to charge us for a full priced adult meal. The waitstaff agreed that it was incredibly misleading and was super nice about it and even called the manager to change the bill. Kind of worried that they are taking advantage of their customers and it was a bummer because it made a really cute/family friendly place have a negative vibe. Overall super nice servers but check the bill because management is trying to make an extra buck! Staff was super awesome and accommodating and saved the day. read more

I was here on a night that they had live music. We had Allie as a server. She was super busy, but at every table she greeted them professionally with genuine care. She checked up on every table in a timely manner and made everyone's experience so enjoyable! She knows the menu very well and always knows the best recommendations whether it be food or drinks! Highly recommend Allie's section! Not to mention she's beautiful. read more

Great beer. Food is okay. Nachos were definitely underwhelming. But the fries were great. Love the look and vibe of this place. And when you're done letting the kids jump let the adults have fun next door. read more

Amazing beer, service, vibe and food. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone in Billings.

Wow! Super food and brews. Really: one of the best steak frites ever! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The BAM burger is surely among the top three burgers in Montana. The BAM platter has amazing salsa and chorizo. The tuna poke salad was so good. The Foeder Five is a perfect fruity sour beer for a summer's Sunday afternoon. A clean contemporary ambiance; an airy spot. Welcoming and bright. Play corn hole if you're up for it. Friendly happy staff round it out for a wonderful meal experience. read more

When I had the opportunity to try this Billings. Montana brewery I realized I simply couldn't pass it up. For one it's a brewery I haven't tried beer from but also it's my first foray into Billings' craft beer brewing community. Steve and I shared one of their beers the Release 2. This was an Dubbel Amber lager. This beer was very enjoyable with it's caramel and graham cracker flavors which gave this beer a very pleasant and complex flavor we both really! I'd take another opportunity to try the beers from here again whenever it arises. read more

Beers were hit and miss and food, while tasty, was a bit frustrating. In particular, don't call something steak frites if the frites are a single finger line potato sliced horizontally and baked. That's not steak frites. It's a super cool space with great interior design and a huge bar. Just be prepared to have beers with off flavors and to ask questions about the food. read more

Tacos were worth the price. Surf and turf tacos were my favorite but the blackened mahi tacos were great too. Got your choice of corn or flour which was so nice. Food was delicious and bartenders were nice and helpful! read more

One of our favorite breweries of all times! By All Means is a really modern, clean, and well-kept brewery. The service is great and the food/beer is amazing too. This is a really fun place to visit during the summer as they have a big patio area (The inside is a little smaller, and we haven't gone during a cold season yet to know what the atmosphere will be like inside). They have a great selection of beers and the flights are a fun thing to get here to try several of their beers! We have tried several different food items, and it sounds like the corn dog is a winning option :) read more

This place checked all the boxes. The food was outstanding- highly recommend the burrito and the BAM sampler. All of the IPAs and the fruited selection were exceptional. And most importantly, the staff was charismatic and kind. If you find yourself in the area, this place is great for families or just to stop by for a beer. read more

Clean, modern brewery. Beers have a very unique taste! Come for the food though. My wife and I agreed it was the best food we have had as a couple. The smoked wings are the best I've ever had. Don't let the prices get to you - pony up and enjoy the incredible flavors. Nachos: 9/10 Smoked wings: 10/10 Run, don't walk. read more

Amazing food, beer and atmosphere! My entire party was pleased with their selections as well.

By All Means Brewing is my 163rd brewery. This is a nice big tasting room with a big patio area. We were here pretty early so only one other couple was there, who brought their dog abd were sitting by the fire outside. It has a very modern decor but is welcoming and comfortable. Zymopunk Pilsner is a great light flavored beer. A little floral aroma and honey on the nose. The flavor followed that nicely. Exklusiv amber lager is another really nice beer. Good aroma with a flavor that matched. A little caramel. SWPFTD went with the amber also and enjoyed it. The 003 Stout is barrel aged in Basil Hayden bourbon barrels. It's infused with chocolate, vanilla, and raspberry. I got a lot of raspberry on the nose then raspberry and chocolate on the tongue. I didn't get vanilla but this is a really well done beer. For food we went with the queso fundido as an appetizer and couldn't complain at all. I went with the smothered burrito while family went with the carnitas tacos and the steak frites. The plating was beautiful. My smothered burrito was good but light on the pork. My daughter went with the steak frites and the steak was poor quality. Tough and lots of fat. My daughter having worked as a server didn't want to send it back. I absolutely would have sent it back. The chef did a great job but I think the quality of the beef was skimped on. I almost bumped this down to 4 stars just because the steak was very poor, but I review breweries primarily on beer so I am leaving it at 5. My advice though, avoid the steak frites. The beer was really good and the chef knows his business. If management is reading this abs your chef has commented on what you are buying...listen! Regardless, BAMB is definitely worth a stop, just stay away from the steak frites. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! read more

What a great little brewery! We came in for lunch and Courtney our waitress was super good! We had the chips and salsa to start, let me say that the mango habanero has a kick! But is very tasty. My favorite taco was the rockfish, it has a tequila lime cream that is great! The al pastor is excellent! My wife, that doesn't drink beer, had a hibiscus drink and liked it a lot. read more

There is an area out front where some kids were playing and parents were talking. Upon entering, the brew area is to the left behind closed doors. Straight ahead is a relaxation area with tables and couches. To the right are the bar, tables and entrance to Moav coffee. We sat toward the back, across the entrance to Moav. We were welcomed, seated after a few minutes, given menus to look over and asked it was our first visit in. The lady, the main lady working all the tables, explained their menu, told us what they are known for and told us a little about their menu. Our party ordered a flight (three 6 oz. Glasses) Wrath of Cone, Huckleberry Billingser Weisse and the Falconridge Porter. We also ordered two Jamaica Lemonades that I absolutely loved . We tried their Rockfish, Carne Borracha and Smoked Chicken tacos. Their rockfish and carne borracha tacos was bursting with flavor. The smoked chicken taco was good. After brunch we tried their churro donuts with chamoy curd. The churro looked over cooked and kind of hard. Our party all loved the flavor of this dessert. The Huckleberry Billingser Weisse was the huge standout amongst the flight. So much so that we purchased their growler filled with it to take home. This growler is pretty awesome! Our server was calm and got everything on or order correct. At the end of our meal we asked the gentlemen serving beer at the bar a few questions about their establishment to which he happily answered. I definitely already recommended By All Means to friends and co-workers. We'll definitely be back. The ambiance is casual and relaxed. Ample parking in a private lot. read more
