It's very family-friendly, and we especially love sitting outside where our daughter can play in the enclosed courtyard. The trash can nachos with pulled pork and the pizza are our favorites, but we also keep coming back for the beer. They have a great selection, and I'm especially fond of their rotating sours and Mexican beer. And whatever you do, don't skip the brownie. I rarely order dessert when we eat out, but it's something I genuinely crave from Diamond X. It can get a little loud at times, but the space is large enough that you can still comfortably enjoy a conversation at your table. There were a few people that came around and checked on us made sure we had everything we want and the ambience is always fun. The service ruins the excellent food. my family of three went to diamond x beer and we all ordered food. My mother ordered a salad with grilled chicken and our food came out and the chicken was fried and she kindly asked if she could have it grilled because that is what she ordered and then it proceeded to take upwards of 20 minutes to grill a chicken and when we asked our waitress the update of my mother's food because at this point, my father and I had already completed eating our entire meal. She said it wasn't her fault and that it was the Cook's fault because of his experience and then give us an attitude she said it would be out shortly that they were cutting it and then we waited an additional 10 minutes after that. Then once the check came, my mom asked her to go box because at that point we've already long finished our food without her and the check came, and there was no discount no compensation for the atrocious service and the horrible customer service that we experienced. Then the manager came over after we asked nicely to speak with her, and she was pleasant and kind and took off the salad. Overall, I would say that the food is really amazing, but the service was atrocious and even the attitude that we experience was not acceptable. read more

Food is excellent (we're working our way through the menu) :) We've had the pizza (great dough) and several of the sandwiches. All of them were Awesome. Tyson is an excellent bartender. Definitely knows how to make a tasty drink. And is very efficient, he had a full bar when we were there. And we never felt neglected. Some of the best gluten free pizza in town! Gluten free food is hard to come by in Billings but the first time I had some pizza here I had to verify with the server that a mistake had not been made because it was actually fluffy and tasted too good! The pizza crust is the best in town, perfectly crisp and chewy. The ingredients on the pizza however were skimp. The wings were good and meaty but the mango habanero wings lacked flavor and heat. I moved away two years ago and I still, too this day have not eaten fried chicken and fries that have topped this place. I miss it every single day! I remember my middle school was literally across the street. It was my favorite thing to go there after a long grueling day. However, a few hours after our visit last week, I became violently ill and was throwing up for over 12 hours. We tend to go to By All Means when we are in Billings, but decided to check out Diamond X to switch it up. We were pleasantly surprised! The building is really beautiful and they have SO much seating inside! They also have a fun outdoor area that I hope to try out when it gets nicer. The service was really great and our waiter was really friendly. We got a lot of food and beers between the table and nothing disappointed. They brew their own beer as well as guest taps so there are a lot of options to chose from! I actually love the vibe of this place. It's great on a weekday if you're by yourself or want some chill time with someone or a group. It's also a popular spot on weekends if you're looking for a hangout spot. I had to lower the star ratings because their menu has a lot on it, but the food just does not taste good. I had a burger from here that tasted char grilled and I had a chicken sandwich that tasted the same. They tasted like they were stuck between a George Forman grill for a little too long. I wanted the burger medium but it was definitely well done. Again, I cannot reiterate enough that all I could taste was the char. The chicken was like a breast from the store cut in half (very thin). The sweet potato fries are spot on, though. Some of the best I've ever had. Their hazy IPA was also delicious. You should keep in mind that you'll be paying $16-$20 for each meal. read more

Everything that I tried was delicious. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for in this multi-atmospheric place. Fluctuating with high and low ceilings some areas are more loud with a bar-like feel where as other areas with lower ceilings provide a more dining room like experience. Husband and I stopped in for the Thursday night prime rib about a month ago.. the first taste was very tender- but cutting into the center it was clear the roast had been marinated in baking soda. If you ever had meat with baking soda on it, you know that taste instantly. We came into town for a concert! Stopped here for dinner and it was so good. I had the catfish and my boyfriend had the smoked salmon BLT. Both were so good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. So I stopped here with friends and had a tasty beer and a great sandwich, the Diamond Dip. This sandwich was Amazing. Tender and tasty! So good I stopped back less than a week later! The local beers were quite good too. If you want a side you can get fries or soup. I ordered a side salad and it was $3. It's pretty loud in the place and romance shouldn't be on your mind here, but the food is great. The staff is prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. There are very busy and it's still not an insane wait. They are a on the edge of town so a if you want a few brews Uber, Lyft a Taxi or a friend should be at the end of your eve. Buffalo mac and cheese had not really any Buffalo sauce on it only on the 5 tiny pieces of chicken I got. Otherwise the noodles tasted plain not even the cheese had flavor. My gyro tasted just like hot sauce hot even the meat had any flavor and couldn't taste tzasaki sauce. Our son's mini corn dogs were 30 seconds longer in the fryer from being black. Can't believe they even served it so burnt... won't be back for awhile especially when the food prices are steep which I don't mind paying but it was not up to par. Great space. Lot's of fun for kids with games outside. Really nice kind of huge sports bar atmosphere with a great outdoor space in warm weather. That all being said, the food is god awful and their craft beers are the worst in town. It's too bad because it is close to us and a fun place to go. I wish they would just try harder. They really should taste some of their beers. The IPA is just bitter with no hops. They had some kind of lager called Glacier Water, I think, that all my buddies agreed just looked and tasted dirty. I am so thankful that a Restaurant of this quality has opened in the area. They have a Few issues to work on and they are aware of them all. The menu does lean to "bar food" and they know it. Healthier choices are coming. The trash can tacos are an amazing idea but fails to deliver for a 5 star rating. I wanted more meat maybe beans. My Family loved the Hangover Burger. The ambiance is fun , but it's loud because of the Warehouse style building. If you want a quieter meals ask to be seated upstairs. We will return because the service is fun and friendly. There's no 4.5 so I'll round up. Not the best place I've ever been to but one of my favorites here in Billings. The atmosphere was really nice and the food was good. I also preferred the beer to other places. (Personal favorites were the Super Volcano IPA and the Texas Wedge Lager.) We have been multiple times, also took my family here when they visited.
