I'm not the kind of cyclist that looks like a fishing lure, has thighs bigger than my waist, and races around Cayuga Lake doing 100 miles in four hours or less. But if you are that guy or gal, Glenn can take care of you.
I'm not the kind of cyclist that can't work on my own bike, who needs someone to walk me through every step of repair work, or needs advice on every part or purchase. But if you are that guy or gal, Glenn can take care of you.
I'm not the stuck-up hipster, who goes to shops acting like I know everything, who might push the owner to do a lot of running around, who, once he/she thinks they have all the info will go try to find it $10 cheaper via online, only to have to come back to Swan Cycles to build their bike, who will be happy to provide said hipster with what they need for a reasonable charge of $50 to $100 for the build. But hey, Glenn can take care of you too.
I am in love with bikes, I'm a novice mechanic, and riding for a view is my thing. I can do 100 miles a day and I've ridden on snow covered roads where cars had either gotten stuck or slid off the side. More often than not, I'm commuting to and from work, to and from Greenstar or one of the local parks for softball, or to and from the woman's house whom I love, riding 10 to 30 miles a day.
I'm planning a ride across the U.S.A. and then flying to New Zealand where I'll ride with that girl I love around the South Island. I don't trust anyone else for advice beyond Glenn and his crew. Of course I research and show up with some knowledge, because that's how I like to roll, but Swan Cycles always gets it right, always does a quality job, and is always helpful. Glenn takes care of me too.
Prices cannot be beat on gear, bikes, shoes, components, or accessories.
Knowledge cannot be beat on all things bicycle.
Owner and Techs are all quality folks.
Nobody has the selection Swan Cycles has and they are happy to order anything in a timely fashion that you need.
Finally, you may not like the wait, but everyone wants their work done by Swan Cycles because they are the best. Luckily, the shop is located in one of the most beautiful locations in Ithaca so, while you wait, you can talk tech, bikes, or weather with other customers, or enjoy the pond, fields, and sunset.
