OMG I had been having electrical problems with my Audi. For almost 2 years I had no backup camera and no push start operation. While getting my stereo fixed on my VW I perchance had a discussion with Robert about my car's issues. He wanted to try to figure out the problems. Well it took several weeks getting used parts and hours of Robert's time digging deep into my car's electrical systems. He found all my issues and fixed them. My camera now works with- 3 PDC sensors and a Parking module, my proximity sensors work, and my push button start is doing what it should. Thank you Robert for all your hard work and due dilligence. During our move from Chicago to Ithaca, electrical cord on our lamp broke. Joseph called a couple of places to see if the stores could repair the cord. Then he stumbled upon HiWay Hifi. Upon arriving, Lee met us at his store. Looking at the lamp electric cord, he said, "nothing is impossible". During our visit, Lee kept saying, "nothing is impossible". That alone made me feel confident in his skills. I saw a handwritten letter by one of his customers. She expressed her heartfelt thanks in helping her with her car repair. I first heard about Highway hi-fi from my friend to went to IC, he done business working in theater, and he friends worked there in the past so I thought it would be good to check it out because they do repairs to audiovisual equipment and I was having trouble finding repair for a lamp. It's like a 75-year-old lamp so I know I went there and they were very helpful. Repaired my lamp lickety-split and told me about their business. The owner Lee is very nice. You could see in their counter. They have like thank you cards from many years back. They have a very good standing with the community and they offer a greater rate of very professional customized services. He was telling me about the security systems, sound systems and stuff like that, I'm in the market to buy a house so that's one of the concerns. he has a lot of options and a lot of good equipment. I mean I've worked in the field too so I know I'm looking at. I'd definitely recommend checking them out. Their customer service is great. Just listening to the owner and pride he has in the business makes you secure looking into this type of investment. Definitely check them out. read more

These guys are awesome! They're friendly, helpful, and super patient. I told them what I wanted ( a pretty basic new radio on the cheaper end of the spectrum) and they gave me several options and explained the pros and cons, I'm really pleased with the one I ended up with. They even walked me through how to install the radio I bought from them free of charge, leant me the screw drivers and everything. I will definitely return if I ever need anything else. I've been here numerous times to have over 4 vehicles tinted. Every time I'm here it just gets worse. After being rescheduled 4 times (figuring out after I had to drive down to the store each time, because they failed to call and notify me), finally getting my tints put on, and then realizing a couple of my door handles aren't connected, and I'm missing some plastic pins that secure my door panel on, I refuse to be a returning customer again. Oh, and not to mention that they charge an arm and a leg for their services, depending on what "they are feeling for the day" (I swear I'm not lying. The tint guy literally said he changes the price depending on his mood...) I urge any of you that are looking into getting any automotive services done from here, to find somewhere else. Prior to my face-to-face experience at HiWay HiFi, I recently had audio work done poorly in my car(these services were provided in California).Finally being fed up with my car audio system I called HiWay HiFi. When Chase picked up the phone, I knew I was in good hands when I described my situation. He immediately described solutions to my problem without even seeing my previous poor choice of audio care. Despite the wait to get my car in, Chase was still able to squeeze me in and provide me for an estimate. When I had arrived to HiWay HiFi to further discuss my options, I was Amazed by their quality care and the atmosphere they have provided while maintaining a professional manner. I never felt pressured to buy anything and was more stoked about the prices they had gave me while we were building a plan for my car audio system. When I called, I spoke with a seemingly knowledgeable gentlemen who was helpful with my questions. However, could not really help me without looking at the vehicle...I took his name, got the business hours (open until 6PM) and told him I would be down after work (5PM) that evening. I left work a few minutes early and got there by 5 minutes after 5, I asked a very miserable man at the front desk, as he peered at me over his glasses with a look as though I was bothering him, for the gentlemen (by name) I had spoke with on the phone. The curmudgeon replied that he had left for the day. I was very displeased to have wasted my time traveling, unnecessarily, downtown after a long day at work. I abruptly left the store. After a few seconds, I went back in and asked if there was someone else I might talk to about a new stereo in my car...and he yelled at me...Literally YELLED at me!!! "I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU THAT HAD YOU GIVEN ME A MINUTE. THAT'S WHAT WE DO. THERE ARE OTHERS HERE THAT CAN HELP YOU!!!" I told him never mind, I would take my business elsewhere. It will be a cold day...when I pay someone to treat me with that disrespect and disregard. He was rude and nasty to me...the customer, who has seemingly been duped into an extra long drive home...for nothing!!! I drove home and I called Infinite Audio, in Auburn. Even though it was after 6, closing time, the gentleman that answered the phone, was more than happy to accommodate my needs. He asked me a bunch of questions I could actually answers. He knew what system was in my car and exactly what would be needed to install an after market stereo with all the bells and whistles I currently have and would hate to loose. He is hooking me up with a Kenwood eXcelon DDX9902S Saturday and going to install it early next week. He told me all the accessories I would need to hook it up and knew approximately what the installation would cost. He even knew the name of the system in my car now (Boston) and didn't have to ask me if there was an amp...he already knew the answer...I can't wait!!! Lucky for me, I won't have too wait as long as Hi-Way HiFi, they told me at least two and a half weeks...It will be worth the extra drive to Auburn to do business with a retailer / installer that appreciates the business and truly do act professionally.
