The place is pretty unique inside, but we ordered our food to go. The Joulie fries were pretty dang tasty w that sauce they put on em, but by the time we made it back to the cabin to eat, they were pretty mushy frys. Frozen frys. But still tasty. The shrimp poboy we ordered for my son was good. The chicken tenders off the kids menu for my youngest were ok he said. 2 tenders and frys. My wife and I split the swamp thing burrito and I'm glad we decided to share it. It was pretty large and there's no way I'd want to try and eat that whole thing, but knowing me I probably would have. It was delicious!!! The fried tortilla on there was just enough crunchiness to make each bite pop. The bread pudding was also pretty dang tasty itself w the rum sauce. We will return. read more

I was in the area looking at things to do and noticed this restaurant with a theme, and I do love a good theme. Parking is plenty, street parking. I got the Filthy Swamp Thing to eat there and the OMG Burger to take home to eat later. It was all so delicious! I could not finish the Filthy Swamp Thing there, so I brought half of it home. Prices were a bit on the high side, but everything was so huge, it was worth it. Service was amazing. The waitress was very friendly. I will be back if I am in the area again! read more

And this place is only 90 minutes north of the Crescent. You truly do start to lose a bit of that magic the further north you go. Well first time Here. Ordered a large takeout order to try a variety.Must say walking in the ambiance and decor is super cool. Waitstaff was super nice and attentive. Now on to the Food. Absolutely loved the shrimp and corn soup was everything its supposed to be and very flavorful. Filthy Swamp Burrito was also very good loved the amount of cheese in it and the sauces to put over it definitely compliment it well. The Jolie fries were also a family hit. The Cajun cigars were definitely good also but wished there had been 3-4 to an order instead of 2. The Cajun fries were good as far as fries go. The shrimp po boy was average neither bad or real good. the Crab jalapeños bites left something to be desired kinda like a crab cake hushpuppy slightly overcooked and not all that good. The service was great. The food not so much. The place was less than inviting. It was dark and overwhelming. We ordered a burger and a Po'Boy with a large fries to share. The hot sausage Po'Boy was just a frozen patty cut in half. The burger was decent. The meal was not worth $40 in my opinion. Sorry I didn't think about pictures. read more

Service and overall experience 10/10. Don't sleep on this super cool themed restaurant. We started with the frog legs, alligator bites and soft shell crab. Everything was delicious! This was the first time my husband and I went to the Swamp Monster. We will positively be going back. The owner, Antonio, makes it such a wonderful experience to be there. We told him that I was allergic to meat and wondered what I might be able to have. He said almost everything is made to order so I could have pretty much anything other than the burgers. We had a cup of the shrimp and corn bisque and a cup of the crab bisque. Both are delicious We also had the shrimp Cajun cigar for an appetizer. It's fabulous. My husband had the swamp monster burger without the mushrooms and it is huge. I had the grilled shrimp salad based on Antonio's recommendation and loved it We were both too full to have dessert but we wanted to try them, so we ordered the three cheesecakes that they had in house that day - blueberry, pecan and Reese's - and just had a bite of each and took the rest home. This restaurant is FANTASTIC!! A MUST try! From the moment we walked in until we walked out, the service was impeccable. The gumbo and bread pudding were out of this world and the best we've eaten. We tried many things on the menu (Cajun cigars, Jolie Fries, gumbo, the swamp monster burger, the burrito, bread pudding and beignets), and all were delicious! I loved this place. My friend and I met someone there, and were greeted by the owner. Everyone working was incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding. I've never had a Po Boy and I had the Sauce Squatch po boy and I've been thinking about it ever since. All desserts are made in house too. The blueberry cheesecake was out of this world and I had the best bread pudding I've ever tasted or even made myself. Honestly this place is a gem and I'm looking forward to going back! read more
