We had used a previous contractor for our oupstairs renovation and we had a good experience with them but decided to use Hills Construction for this project, and we could not be any happier with the results. From day one Alan and his crew made this project move forward as smoothly as possible. He was very easy to communicate with and was very responsive to calls, texts and emails. He was very proactive when it came to issues that arose and usually had a solution at the ready before we even had to address it with him. We also had some issues which we needed help with around the house which had nothing to do with the project and he was always ready to help us out. Overall, we had a really great experience with Hills Construction and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor.

The County was the toughest part. They wanted unnecessary changes to the structure but Crase was able to convince them, using their own code, to let us rebuild "like for like", with upgrades that we wanted. I would recommend Crase to anyone.

First off Matt H. and his team are the epitome of professionalism. He communicated clearly and returned calls/emails promptly and succinctly. He also displayed a great degree of patience in hearing, listening and understanding the owners' concerns, questions and requests. In addition, Matt articulated things in a way that made sense to the owner and helped ameliorate the process. The workmanship and material were excellent. This is especially apparent in the foundation wall, pier block footing and stucco/painting matching. All the proper safety measures were taken and at the end of each workday the area was cleaned and contained as possible. In summary I would highly recommend Matt and Crase Construction Team.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an employee who was driving a company vehicle and…read morebehaved in an extremely disrespectful and aggressive manner toward me and my wife. My wife and I were legally pulling into a gas station when the employee, who appeared to be attempting to make a left turn while exiting the gas station, became upset with how we entered the property. The employee then pulled alongside our vehicle and began yelling insults at us. During the incident, the employee used profanity in Spanish and called us "PUTO" twice. He also said "LA VEGA," or words similar to that, while continuing to verbally confront us. His behavior appeared aggressive and completely inappropriate, especially while operating a company vehicle. We did not engage with the employee or do anything to provoke this behavior. We were simply entering the gas station legally. Regardless of any disagreement or frustration on the road, an employee representing a company should not be using profanity, insults, or aggressive behavior toward members of the public while driving a company vehicle. I am requesting that the company investigate this incident and address the employee's conduct appropriately. I would also appreciate confirmation that this complaint has been received and information regarding what steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future. This happened in San Jose , CA off of Branham Ln and Jarvis

I contacted KM's Painting last year to get a quote to paint my entire condo. Ken's pricing was very reasonable, the quote included moving the heavy stuff and patching the walls, and he was happy to work around my schedule (the project would be done in 2 phases). When he came to do the estimate, he had helpful information regarding colors and finishes for each room/ceiling, and he even made suggestions for future home improvement projects! When it came time to paint, I had to cut the project in half due to job-loss, but the half that I had completed looks fantastic. As my nit-picky roomie says, "The corners were cut in properly!" The crew was polite, fast and professional during the 2.5 days of painting, and I can't wait to get them back out for the second half.

From the very beginning, the office staff was friendly, organized, and efficient when it came to scheduling and billing. I usually have anxiety when opening a bill. But I had so much trust and faith with this company & office that I didn't even flinch when I received their bills. The entire crew was punctual and professional. They were also very respectful of our home by keeping a clean workspace. This made living through a remodel so much easier. The owner Jim was always pleasant and easy to work with. He kept everything moving smoothly and made the process as stress-free as possible. He has a calm disposition which I have rarely encountered when I interacted with other general contractors in the past. A special shout-out to Ben, who handled the estimates and also completed all of the tile work. His quotes were detailed and accurate, and the final costs ended up being very close to the original estimates--hence, the reason I didn't panic when I opened a bill. On top of that, his craftsmanship is exceptional. He's incredibly patient, meticulous and detail-oriented. The finished tile work is absolutely beautiful. Caesar and Javier had their hands full with their endless skills (from demolition and drywall to plumbing and electrical). They were hardworking and earnest, despite having to climb all of the stairs on my property! I can also tell that they are loyal and love their jobs. This speaks volumes about the owner and the company. My husband doesn't know this yet, but there are still several home projects I'd love to tackle someday . JM Construction will be my first call!

While not everything has been completed yet, we decided to step back, give them another chance, and allow them the opportunity to fix the remaining issues. At this point, I'm simply tired of this whole situation, and I'm glad we've finally moved from conflict to finding solutions. Im glad that noise is over. Or almost over .I'm hopeful they'll finish the remaining work, especially fixing the window, soon. I also wanted to update my review to support the business owner, Jim. As a business owner himself, I can imagine how difficult it is to protect your team, remain respectful, and still take responsibility when things go wrong. But in my opinion, that's the only way a business can earn back trust and continue to succeed--especially in California. I genuinely hope they follow through and finish the job as promised. As my husband said - now we can trust them . Owner - true leader.

We used Lindy Roofing on a full rebuild and went with a metal roof--not an easy job. Multiple vendors told us our rooflines were "crazy" and basically tried to scare us off or price us out. Lindy didn't flinch. They handled the complexity with confidence, worked seamlessly with our solar provider and GC, and were incredibly patient throughout the process. Let's talk pricing, because that's where Lindy really stands out. Their bid was not just competitive--it was shockingly reasonable. For a high-quality metal roof, their pricing beat competitors by 2-3x, without cutting corners. Real value, real craftsmanship. What really seals it, though, is the communication. Wendy, Jorge, and Jim are absolute pros--responsive, clear, and proactive. You never feel like you're chasing them or left in the dark (again... not sure what those bad-communication reviews experienced, but that wasn't us). And they didn't disappear after the main job, either. When we later decided to add gutter guards, they came back without hesitation--and even took care of our small shed roof while they were at it. Reliable, skilled, fairly priced, and genuinely easy to work with. You really can't ask for more in a contractor. If you're considering a metal roof--or any roof--this is the team you want.
