I needed to stock up on rice and spices. There have been changes here! The store was MUCH cleaner. I didn't find anything that had expired. I bought a 10-pound bag of brown basmati rice in a burlap sack that might last for the rest of my life, and bags of spices such as pink Himalayan salt, black pepper, cumin, whole nutmeg, Garam masala, Madras curry, and a few others. The variety here is amazing and easily applied to many cuisines. They also have bags of nuts and dried beans, which I need to go back and get. You do need to soak the beans overnight or boil them for quite a while, but so what. I use up canned beans too quickly. And sometimes I forget to restock. I love chai, and they have different kinds of masalas and tea. Also puffed rice and puffed corn in giant bags. And SO many different flours! Buckwheat! Rice! Also lots of packaged spices for yummy Indian food. You usually just add water, yogurt, tomatoes, meat, or whatever. And chutney! The cashier was friendly and helpful. ***Update I am changing my first review from 4 stars to 5! I walked in last night and fell in love! Look at the pictures I've added of the fresh produce. I made an incredible Baingan Bharta for dinner last night with the fresh ingredients we brought home and currently having the leftovers & decided to do them some justice because it's well deserved! For those who felt they had subpar customer service and haven't been there recently, try it again because the staff there is incredibly helpful! Original review: I was hesitant to shop at SV after reading some of the reviews. I usually shop at some other Indian/International grocers but have to drive out to Aurora. I decided to check it out. I found what I needed and the pricing was fair. I expected poor customer service based on previous reviews, I've been there 3 times in the past couple of months and felt welcomed‍. I purchased Frozen bread pakora ( Bread Fritters) on 10 November 2023 for Diwali festival, when I opened the box product next day to put those in oven , I found five out of 7 had fungus on them, and the rest of the twos were giving foul smell. Although the expiration date on those were January 2024 but all were rotten. I tried to call them so many times but no one answered the call. I'll not recommend this store. read more

Yelp should have a Grocery Sub-catagory. Regardless, this Indian Market is perfect for stocking up on essentials. I tend to go easy Indian (pataks) and this place has that great garlic naan in the freezer section. Since trader joe's won't open for some time in Colorado - this Naan is the acceptable substitute. read more

Its an Indian grocery store in Lonetree (right opposite Sam's Club). I chanced upon the store and went in. They have almost all the Indian spice staples as well as snacks and other food items (even vegetables). Its still new, so they probably dont have everything that one of the other stores in Aurora might have, but I found everything I typically shop for. I no longer have to travel all the way to Aurora for my Indian groceries..... Awesome! read more

Great place to buy all the familiar and not-so-familiar Indian food basics. I mostly stick with buying Naan there - reasonably priced I might add, but the place has so much variety and if I needed anything Indian food related, I'm sure they would have it also. Are you looking for European cadburys at a reasonable price? You can get it here! This is also the place to get proper unsweetened coconut. They don't call it desiccated, coconut powder or something like that, but it's exactly the same. In the way of chocolate they sell Flake, dairy milk, fruit'n'nut, Mars bars, Turkish delight, caramello and a few other things. They used to have twix but I haven't seen them for a while. A little while ago I bought a box of 24 flakes for a cake I was making. They only charged me $20 for the box even though the chocolates are usually about $1 a piece. I tried to get more later on but the staff said they were waiting on a shipment and to email the owners because they would definitely get back to me. They never did. Very disappointing. We ended up spending twice as much at rocket fizz in highlands ranch for bars that were shorter! read more

The prices at this store were good when they started. They are going the Bombay Bazaar route with bad attitude and pricing things almost 2-3$ more. The prices are steadily increasing. Also the products are expired and out of date. The owner does not share his number nor does he reply to email. Try another grocery store read more

Billing is a scam, Be careful and take some time to review the bill/receipt. We had around $20+ charged more on the billing total 150$ which we didn't have in the our shopping cart. They need to avoid putting hand written price on the items and be straight forward with the customer. I wish I could attach my receipts to show how they charged and people can keep an eye. Management: Please be honest on the bill to have the customers returned. Its mind boggling to see the price of a product and bill is different and it's about trust issue if this is not resolved. If it's employee issue then you have to correct this to build trust. read more

Not the best of the stores that I would recommend. Besides some outdated products, customer service is not good. Don't be surprised if the guys who are at the billing counter are rude. They recently moved to a new location in the same building which is more spacious and provides an opportunity to improve. I hope there will be more Indian stores established in this neighborhood, so that there are more options for the customers and also to encourage healthy competition. Best Indian grocery store in Denver Metro Area - friendly, good quality, reasonable price, good selection of items. I used to shop at the Aurora stores, but once here, never saw those unfriendly stores ever again.Here is a story. SV Grocers gives a $3 credit on every $100 purchase. Well not a big amount, but once it so happened that we lost that discount receipt they gave us after we had spent $100, and told the checkout guy that we had misplaced. He very gladly gave that discount; no questions asked, no questionable bad looks. They have a very good computerized system and the receipt printout is with sufficient detail about items purchased. It seemed like the guy took a few seconds to look at our purchasing history in the computer. Well, $3 was no big deal, but just get into a situation like this with the Indian stores in Aurora, and they will make you learn the definition of nasty store owners; will make you wonder how these people can even behave like that. We always had good experience here. Whenever we couldn't find something on the shelves, they very gladly helped. Whenever we needed a price check, they gladly looked up and told us. Every time so far it has been better than before. However, if they change, so will my rating. read more
