I understand that theft is a concern in today's retail environment, but my experience at this Walmart today was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. In the cosmetics section which is completely caged off from the rest of the store--I had to wait for an employee to unlock a case just to purchase a $6 eyeliner. The associate then escorted me to a separate, gated checkout area and seemed visibly annoyed to even assist me. The entire interaction felt uncomfortable and unnecessarily restrictive. Meanwhile, there were multiple employees stationed at the exit checking every receipt, yet inside the store there were no open registers and very little visible support for customers. Everything was self-checkout, and the staff who were present didn't appear engaged or helpful. Rather than making customers feel suspected or inconvenienced, it would go a long way to have more attentive, professional staff available to explain policies and provide a better shopping experience. On top of that, the store itself felt run down, which is surprising given its location in a well-kept area like Highlands Ranch. Overall, this experience left a very negative impression. read more

I don't normally shop at Walmart. I get my nails done at Regal, because Le, Tami, and Doug are great.But this was an emergency. I needed hair color because Bellisimo Blu is closed for Christmas break. To my absolute horror, the hair color is now locked up. I don't remember the last time that I bought hair color here, but this is a new, stupid, and extremely unpleasant development. There was a surly old guy with a bad attitude working a cash register near the outdoor section. He unlocked the case, and there was only one medium ash brown. I have thick hair and need two. So I took a medium brown out of the case and put it in my basket. To my complete and utter surprise, the nasty old guy snatched the box out of the basket, which was the blue plastic one, not a cart, and said, "I can't let you have them. Do you have more shopping?" I said yes, a bottle of lemon juice and Nespresso capsules." He said, "You have to pay for the hair color here." WHAT A GIANT PAIN IN THE REAR END. I said, "This is the stupidest thing ever. Pointless." The cranky old guy shrugged. Rude. I wasn't going to officially boycott Walmart until after 1/20, but to hell with this crap. Annoying and stupid. The hair color was $16 for two boxes. The Nespresso capsules were $22. Not locked up. While I am unfamiliar with the habits of shoplifters, I don't see the point of locking up hair color. Nobody is reselling it AFAIK. You would think that coffee addicts would be more fiendish than people who need a color refresh. Anyway, while Walmart has made an effort to hire more people, the store is ugly and locking up hair color is stupid. Making people deal with that nasty, horrid, rude old man and pay separately is ANNOYING. Target is farther away and doesn't have a nail salon, but I can get them done at Bellisimo Blu. The greed of the Waltons is appalling. I won't shop here again. The boycott starts now. read more

We stopped by after their remodeling. They moved a few things and unfortunately their map on the app was not updated yet. We found out we had walked right past the pet food section. The floors were nice and very clean - hopefully that will last. It made the store bright. Their checkout process was a breeze - I had been reading a lot of complaints about it but there was no waiting. They seemed to have everything done, some things are now locked up unfortunately. But all in all, I hope they update the other Walmarts in the area. read more

I wish they had a 0 star option because that is what this deserves after the horrendous remodel because I absolutely HATE how they remodeled this Walmart. It makes no sense and is a pain to get from section to section. They also drastically shrunk the men's and women's side for clothing to the point where they have maybe half the amount as before. I'm not a huge fan of the new check out area either and how everyone has to filter through the same area. They never have enough open and don't maintain who should go next well enough. They also took away the fabric section they did have which irks me as I shopped here frequently for fabric, well not anymore. Beauty section is a pain as well and you get hounded by the check out people if you try and leave with something to continue shopping. The only reason I will continue shopping here is because it is conveniently next door to my house. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Dr. Ron Abraham told be "it's just a five dollar copay or pick it up tomorrow so Medicaid will eliminate the co pay tomorrow." Don't bother trying to do pick up at this Walmart. They no longer even pretend to offer this service. I don't know what happened when they relocated the pick up from the side of the store to the front, but it went from being totally reliable to being disfunctional. I used to do pick up at this location at least twice a month, and never had a problem. In the past 4 months, I've gone 3 times. Twice I have had to walk into the store to collect my own order. The other time, I waited 45 minutes. You can't check in by phone. On Friday I sat there, calling, for nearly 15 minutes. Their phone system goes to a recording that asks you to enter your pin number to access your voice mail. ????????????????????? Finally, one of their workers came out with a cart for another car. I asked her to check me in. She just stood there, stared at me, and told me to go away. I went in the store and had to get a Customer Service rep to help me. The pick up clerk told me they were on the phone helping another customer, and that's why nobody could check in. When I got back to my car, the woman next to me, who had gotten there before me, was still trying to check in. The pick-up staff used to be high school and college age kids who worked their tails off. Now it is a bunch of middle aged folks who are surly, refuse to help you, and simply won't do the job they are being paid to do. Did I talk to a manager? Nope. I tried, twice. Once I was told there were no managers on duty. The other time, my request was ignored. read more

Walmart Highlands Ranch store sold a damaged (creases and crushed looking) box of ink to someone I know. When the box was opened, the plasticwrap was carefully removed from the black ink cartridge, but the black ink exploded all over the person and their her office. Ink went everywhere. She packaged up the ink, and her husband took it back to the store, within 24 hours. They all the way along, with 4 calls to the store, 2 in person visits to the store and 4 calls to corporate Walmart, have refused to refund the $100 to the customer. There have been attempts to contact the manager of the store 3 times, to no avail. They lie and say he's not in. They are stealing from customers. The 1 800 # gave a Dispute/reference number to the customer, telling her that oh yes, this dispute # explanation email would allow the manager to override the "No refund on ink" policy. When the customer returned to the store, spoke with a 'coach" as they call themselves, she denied getting that email from corporate and refused any help at all. Walmart is stealing from customers. Let's see where to start.... Had an oil change apt at 4 because you must have an apt, 5:15 I get a text my oil change has started. Came here last week to get a new battery and since then my stereo and AC won't work has never happened before. Bought new tires here in November got a flat two weeks ago and Walmart couldn't find anything after I have been going to discount morning and evening to fill up tire between work shifts. A employee Brittany (with little pink Highlites in her hair) who works in this store is just so wonderful! She runs the front check out area and the other day the power went out in the store even in the bathroom and had check out lines very backed up around the store. Brittany was so pleasant to everyone and was keeping everyone calm by being light hearted and talking to everyone and keeping a good sense of humor and attitude. She calmed everyone down and was so helpful and got everyone through the check out line as quickly and efficiently as possible under the circumstances. But if you seek Value, do not buy the house brand "Great Value" as it is either a smaller portion, or lower quality, not a great value at all. I must say this particular Walmart deserves a zero, why you ask well let me start off by saying I have been going to this Walmart since it has opened and closer to my home but not anymore. The service has completely gone downhill. You ask for assistance your better off doing it yourself. I have had the worst experience during covid and don't dare do a return without the receipt let alone change bank cards because it is a hassle to get your money back let alone a in-store credit. Meh, one of the better ones in the area but that's not saying much. Watch out for the people grabbing pick up orders, they'll run you down and grumble about you being in their way. Most of the other staff rather just stand around in their headphones and just get in the way. Bonus points for the ladies at the self checkout that complain about their job non stop and talk about how terrible white people are. Here's a little tip; a lot of us white people speak and understand Spanish so you're not really having racists rants to yourself when we can understand it. This Walmart is only open until 11am? It says it closes in 20 minutes. My real complaint is I signed up for the delivery service, they put a ridiculous fee on on it (I'm buying their items!), so I jump through all these hoops the get the fee removed, then they add an "optional" tip of 30% of your order (more than the delivery fee) but when you try to remove it, there's no place to edit it, it just shows up on your credit card. They said they would remove the tip from my bill, which they didn't, and then said they'd sent me a $10 promotional code, which is still way short of the tip amount, and they didn't send that either. read more

This review is for the Tires & Auto Parts center located at this Walmart. I came here on Sunday after finding a nail in one of my tires. The mechanic glanced at my car for all of 8 seconds before declaring that the tire couldn't be patched. Now, this is where it gets sketchy. He told me that not only would I have to replace the punctured tire, but I would have to replace the three others as well. His reasoning? According to him, I had 5/32, maybe 4/32 tread depth on all of my tires - the same tires that I have been driving for LESS THAN A YEAR. Also note that he didn't even walk around to the other side of my car to assess the tread depth on those tires. He just somehow *knew.* He said that replacing all four tires was absolutely the only option, unless I wanted to cause thousands of dollars in damage to my car due to imbalance from having one new tire with 10/32 tread depth and three others that were worn down. He then invited me to look at their selection of tires, and said that they would order the ones I needed if they were not already in stock. I'm puzzled as to how he knew the exact tread depth on my tires so quickly without even, you know, measuring it. I also completely understand that not all tires can be patched depending on how close the puncture is to the shoulder or sidewall. However, the immediate insistence on replacing all four tires combined with the statement that the punctured tire wasn't patch-able was a huge red flag to me. Needless to say, I left. Even with the rather dire situation of finding a nail in my tire, I wasn't going to replace all four of my barely-a-year-old tires without getting a second opinion. Fast forward to the next day. Another FAR MORE professional tire shop determined that my tires were not worn down - three had 8/32 tread depth and the fourth had 7/32 tread depth. They also patched and plugged my punctured tire! Furthermore, they said that even if that tire hadn't been repairable, they could have just replaced the one because of the 8/32 tread depth - replacing all four to maintain balance is only necessary if ALL tires are 4/32 tread depth or below. Bottom line: I would not recommend this auto center to anyone. They were clearly trying to capitalize on the fact that they were the only auto shop open on Sunday by making me feel that my tire situation was much worse than it actually was. They were pushy, did not take enough time to assess the situation, nor did they care about fixing what was wrong. Because they tried to go for a huge sale in a dishonest manner without actually trying to help me, they have permanently lost me as a customer. Honesty and integrity go a long way in the automotive repair industry, and they have neither. read more

My name is Jese and I shop at Wal-Mart. For some reason I feel like I have to say that. I don't have a problem with Wal-mart, I was raised to shop where I can get the best bargains for the price. This one is very convenient because it's right next door to my office. There are times I have been in this store 3 times a day for whatever. Things for work, clothes, lunch, birthday cards. I have bought pretty much everything except guns and ammo at Wal-mart. I have been in this store at 3 am and at 3 pm. I have been in slow lines and fast lines. I have also worked in retail and it's not as easy as some think to be a cashier. You've got to deal with everyone and their issues and rudeness. I have known some of the people in this store a long time because I am there often. They are trying to make it by just like everyone else. I am very excited about the new self check out lines because I do like to handle things on my own when I can and get in and out quickly. I have seen men in suits and ties that can't run their own self check out. So to sum it up... The most TERRIBLE and OUTRAGEOUS customer service I have every experienced. I called to ask a question in sporting goods about ammunition that they had available - not o my did I call every single department (and got no answer) but when I called to speak to an associate they hung up on my 7 times!! Then when they answered they said "what do you want". I asked to speak to her supervisor, and was met with the same rude manor and no apology for the treatment I received. Maybe a bad day for this Walmart as when I went to use the restroom - it looked like a Hurricane hit it! Disgusting! Yet they have a cleaning log (see picture) that suggests its cleaned every hour - Ha!. Told the Assistant manager (Dan) about it and when he saw me taking pictures, he tried to chase me away saying, "no pictures allowed in WalMart". Ha! My daughter and I went to look at swim suits and while we shopping through the over stuffed racks looking for sizes there's an employee reaching in front of us around us grabbing at the same hangers my daughter was all of course without saying excuse me.
