I called the department and was told that yes, they have a battery and that they could also install it, no charge for installation. I return to the store the next day for a battery and met with the same gentleman that helped me on the phone the previous day. I asked if they still had the battery and could they install it. Once again I was told , "Yes." I reiterated the price with installation and was told $179.00 plus tax, total. The desk man told me to bring my car to Bay 1, and I would be taken care of by the mechanics. I followed the directions. At bay 1, a young man took all my information on a tablet, and told me to wait inside, and I would be contacted when the job was done. I asked how long, and he said about 45 minutes. I was notified about that time that my job was finished. I went to the service desk to pay, and I asked a different gentleman If my car was ready. I also added, "how did the installation of the battery go?" He said, "Battery? You had an oil change." I said, "No, I was to have a new battery installed." Well, the following " discussion" that took place is too long to detail, but suffice it to say, it became a 20+ minute back and forth with the service manager and the mechanics (5 of them) trying to defend themselves and telling me it was an honest mistake! They did say I would not be charged for oil change. I felt disrespected by the manager when she dismissed me and was done with the " argument." I also detected a nasty sarcasm in her, " Have a nice day!" As I left the store to get my car, I went through the Bay Area where all the mechanics were huddled. A young man said in a loud voice, "Have a nice day!" He said it twice as I walked through. I turned and said, "Why do you have to be so belligerent?" I walked to my car.
