Since then the roof has held up great! Last week I started seeing a leak on the outside of my house. I called them up and the owner sent someone out the same day just to rule anything out. When they came out we both agreed that it didn't look like there was anything wrong with the roof, but that didn't stop them for doing their best to stop it from leaking they added some caulking around some holes in the stucco and masonry and fixed up some of the flashing near the leak. After that, it was still leaking, but Brad, the owner, was kind enough to come out again, even though it had NOTHING to do with the roof just to double-check on me and make sure that I was doing well. At the end of the day, they took off a side gutter and found a hole in the wall that the builders had left from when the house was built. Again, STILL not roof related, but they treated me like family and helped me as if it were and fixed it up for me. Literally cannot say enough good things about WDR! I've never found a company that is this helpful or this responsive.

What started as raccoon damage ended up turning into a full roof replacement--something I had been putting off for a while. Ben took the time to walk me through every step in detail, including how the insurance process works. That alone can be stressful, but he made it much easier to navigate and gave me peace of mind throughout the process. He was professional, responsive, and communicative from start to finish. There are plenty of roofing companies out there offering similar services, but I truly felt that Ben and his team provided the best value without compromising on quality. I'd highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing work.

Those caused us to pay over $10,000 out of pockets later. This time we checked on YELP carefully and found DBL Check, who got the best rating and reviews, so we decided to hire DBL Check. Our experience with Allan was Excellent. He was thoroughly checking and found many main and small issues. We were quite confident that he didn't miss a thing. The most important, Allan found some issues with the newly installed ac units and recommended us to have ac technicians checking on it. Unfortunately, after we sent Allan's report over to the seller, we trusted the seller, Everlasting Properties or NuHorizon, when they informed us all the issues were fixed included the ac issues. Then, we proceeded to closing. Just 5 days after the closing, the ac issues Allan reported showed up again and this time, definitely the seller, Everlasting Properties or NuHorizon, denied to take any responsibility on the issues. We found out later that they didn't have the permit to install the new HVAC system to the house. Now, we are pursuit a legal action against the seller. Moreover, the ac warranty the seller provided us was nothing, but fraud. The seller was well aware of this before passing the ac warranty to us. Thank you very much for DBL Check/ Allan for the great finding for all the issues.

A year or so after living there I received a 9k hoa assessment for new roofs needed from my local hoa board. Little did I know that this roofing problem had been going on for 3 decades. We were looking at getting new roofs installed on 12 different flat roofed type buildings. I was in college at the time and looking back really didn't know exactly what I was doing except for the fact that I needed to find a highly qualified individual to help prove to our insurance company that our roofs had been nailed and damaged by hail and that we needed some solid representation( insurance company had previously denied the claim) As stated in previous emails Don Putnam and his services are not cheap. But if used appropriately can be very effective. I met Don Putnam and the insurance adjuster assigned to investigate the issue further at the site on a scheduled predetermined date, because I had escalated it to that point, Don was prepared and then went on to explain and demonstrated his expertise and through documentation and proof clearly showing the adjustor that there in fact was hail damage and a certain type of improper flashing installed was leading to further leakage and damage. Don Putnam's expertise saved us a few million dollars and the claim was approved. Thanks again Don! Les Hanvey Realty Austin

After getting a few estimates, Ace Roofing was the clear winner. What really earned the 5 stars: The Price: Their quote was significantly more affordable than the initial inspection report estimates. It made a huge difference in our closing costs. The Owner Connection: I was impressed that DJ, the owner, actually came out to our house to meet us personally. You don't see that kind of local, hands-on service much anymore. The Paperwork: Garry, the project manager, provided full photos and documentation of all the work they accomplished. Having those photos to show the buyers gave them peace of mind that the work was done well. If you're looking for an honest, reliable roofer in the Austin area who won't overcharge you, definitely give these guys a call. So glad I reached out to them!

Then after multiple no-shows and one time they showed up when we couldnt do the job, they did work and claimed the job was complete. They did not put back the tiles, left trash all over the balcony, and tracked all sorts of mud in the house. I could live with this, but the next time it rained, water poured through the roof. Prior to them working on the roof, there was no water pouring through ever, so they literally made the problem worse. Their employee and someone who appears to be the head of their subcontracting crew came out and each had a different opinion on what the problem was. They claimed to have fixed the issue and offered to paint over the damaged part their leak caused. Already this was a terrible experience but i was patient hoping they would fix the issue. I paid the remaining invoice, but in the latest rain storm water came pouring through on multiple locations. I have really tried to be patient because I understand that home services is a tough business but at this point I cannot trust them and their cheap subcontractors to complete the job properly. And I have no idea how much mold and rot there is in my ceiling as a result of their shoddy work. I really hope they will make this right and I hate to have to leave such a bad review, but several months in I have a roof that is worse off than before and I simply do not know if i can trust them to fix the issue.

[Update] LOA reached out to me after seeing my complaint. They acknowledged that the placement of…read morethe scuppers could have been handled better and agreed to issue a refund for the gutter installation. In addition, they assured me that they would send someone to inspect the ponding water if the issue worsens during next year's rainy season. I appreciate that they took customer feedback seriously, and as a result, I've updated my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. Context: I recently bought a house with a flat roof. This flat roof has 3 major areas. Because the original roof was poorly done, I decided to replace 2 parts of the 3. I hired LOA to install a 135mil TPO roof for this residential house. They came and installed the TPO from October 21 to 25, 2025. The total project costed $18,280. As I just bought the house, I paid the full amount out of my own pocket. My experience with LOA was a bit mixed. I will start from the positive side. Their price was competitive. I got 3 roofers to give me quotes for 80mil TPO and all had great reviews on both Yelp and Google. The highest quote was around $24K and the lowest one was around $16k. LOA's original quote ($16680) was in the middle but was very similar to the lowest one. Additionally, their sales representative was very responsive and helpful and that was one major reason why I chose LOA over the lowest one. After I decided to hire LOA, they even offered me 135mil if I added $1K because they had some leftover 135mil from another commercial project and I decided to take it. Basically the experience before the actual installation started was very positive. However, after the installation actually got started, the experience was mixed. First of all, they changed the crew just a couple of days before the installation because LOA got a big commercial project and that crew was assigned to that commercial project. But they told me the new crew was also experienced and ensured that I didn't need to worry about it. But what happened next didn't seem to show the new crew was that competent -- Initially I was told the whole installation would take 1 day, but in fact, it took the crew 5 days to complete. For me, taking longer time to complete the installation was not a big issue because I'd rather them do it right. Later they told me one of the reasons why the new crew spent so much time was because the new crew actually replaced all 3 parts of the roof rather than just 2 parts. This was a nice surprise since they didn't charge me more for that. But apparently there was a communication issue between LOA and the crew. Additionally, because of the installation delay, the weather changed and we got a bit of rain before the installation was fully completed, but they told me the roof was mechanically sealed so I didn't need to worry about the rain during the installation. When the rain actually came after the entire roof was installed, that was when the problems began. The first problem was the placement of the scuppers: two of them were positioned right above my wooden deck. Whenever it rained, water poured straight onto the deck. After I complained, LOA explained that the original roof had been designed that way. Although they could have positioned the scuppers in different places, they said they simply followed the original design since I hadn't specifically asked for changes. I found this frustrating -- I'm not a professional roofer and as a new homeowner I expected them to use their expertise to warn me about potential issues like this in advance. Unfortunately, they didn't consider the bigger picture when installing the roof. Anyway, as I felt I couldn't entirely blame LOA, I decided to spend additional $600 for them to install a gutter to redirect the water away from the deck. The second problem was ponding water. Even 36 hours after the rain had stopped, I could still see standing waters in at least 3 areas of the roof. One of these spots (number 1 in the photo) was exactly where the original roof had issues. Even worse, two of the ponding areas (number 1 and 2 in the photo) were located on the seams. I raised this concern with LOA again, but they said they wouldn't worry unless the waster remained for more than 4 days -- despite the fact that information from other roofers' websites suggests ponding water could be a concern if it lasts 24-48 hours. LOA told me they would eventually come back and apply some lower-grade TPO over the seams when they had leftover material from other projects. I don't know when they will do it but for now, I'll wait for them to do that since it's not the rainy season yet. I hope it will address the ponding issue. I also plan to monitor the roof during the rainy season in May and June to see if the water persists for more than four days.
