Finally got the chance to come here and I'm so glad! Almost everything was really good. My favorites were the Seviche Classico and the seabass skewers. I could just grab the Seviche Classico bowl and drink it! So refreshing and tasty and there a generous amount of fish in it. The seabass skewer was delicious and melted in your mouth. I definitely want to order more of the ceviche and skewer plates next time I come. The yellowtail taquito was great as well it had a lot of flavor and perfect amount of crunch. I would order again and I want to try the Japanese Kobe one next time. The Brazilian cheese bread was so delicious with the truffle honey butter that is a must order and the shishito peppers were very flavorful. The Nashi cocktail is very good too very refreshing. Welcome to the rainforest dessert was good and I liked how light it was but I would like to try a different dessert next time. My only complaints are how slow it was and a few dishes were lacking. We arrived at 10:10 for our 10 pm reservation but didn't get seated until 11 pm and the waiter was very nice but we didn't get started on our order until a while after too and it took a long time to pay our bill as well. It was very busy and everyone is trying to go here so I understand! I also wouldn't recommend the El Topo or the Chocolate Banana Cake. The El Topo roll lacked flavor for us and the banana chocolate cake had way too much rum flavor it was overpowering. The Kari Kari was just okay for me too but my friend liked it. The restaurant itself is very sexy and I love how lively it was. It was definitely a vibe being there and it's nice to have a restaurant open late in LA with fun vibes. I'll definitely be back!

Beautiful restaurant and great hard working service. Food was exceptional. Better than expected for sure. Everything ordered was 9-10 out of 10! Fresh, flamboyant flavors. Left feeling satiated and full but still feeling good!

We came on a Saturday evening at five. Got seated at a bar right away. We Asked for a table to get apps and for two hours were not seen or addressed about that. Pros- I loved the capariñia drink. We met the manager who was friendly. Our bartender at the beginning was great. Then we got switched to OLEK. He was horrible and condescending. We had to move just to avoid him. We sat in the lounge seating and ordered and the service is great there. They don't let you order food anywhere except at the tables so we had to leave because we were hungry and couldn't get a table after two hours. There was a whole section that was open as we were leaving. The vibes are OK. There is a view and there's a DJ but overall it feels very forced. Maybe because it's new? I don't think I'll be back.

We were a group of 5 friends who hadn't seen each other in a while. We had a 5:00 reservation and were told we must be prompt and we were limited to 2 hours of dining. I get its a new hip place, but then open on time and don't use up my allotment. Once we were sat our waiter was very friendly and helpful, but I felt like they were pressuring us to get on with our ordering. Once we ordered, the food came out very quickly, and people were hovering to clear our plates. In the middle of the meal, we ordered an additional glass of wine. Three out of four made it to the table and we had to ask multiple times for the fourth glass. A little past our 2 hour limit we were asked to leave and told we could sit in the bar area which just seemed a little weird and honestly a bit off putting. The restaurant itself is tres chic and has a cool vibe. There is a DJ playing background music, which made the environment quite enjoyable. It is a rooftop bar so if you're there around sunset, you might get some blinding sun in your eyes so bring your shades, depending on where you sit. The food was great! Each dish was very flavorful and delicious. My favorites of the night were the Mushroom Chaufa and the Black Cod. I would definitely comeback once the novelty wears off. Maybe there won't be so much rigidness and it becomes a place were you don't feel rushed and you can enjoy a meal with friends.

3/5 ! absolutely love the ambiance of places like this, albeit the lackluster flavors and objectively mid taste of the foods lower my rating scale. a typical table can host parties of 8, and it's already pretty tight to sit in!

I would recommend this restaurant for its delicious food, ambience, and service. It's pricey but the experience was worth it. There was one drawback, they forgot my wine I had ordered to go with my meal we had to remind them but it was 20 minutes later. It happens...I would still go back. The table reservation was limited and we exceeded our time by half an hour. We were asked politely if we needed anything else or join their lounge area, but their next reservation was approaching. We understood and were lucky to have been given extra time.

My 3300 review is easily awarded to tonight's dinner at Sushi Samba in West Hollywood! Here we go... I'm so jazzed about Sushi Samba and I'm so grateful to have scored a reservation here today, 4/20/26! I called yesterday and spoke with Toni and was fortunate enough to be waitlisted. This morning I received a text saying we are IN!! What an incredible experience this was!! We had a great server named Sheryl and she's so accommodating and understands my gluten free needs. We ordered the tiradito which was so delicious. I love the Peruvian corn and the mango sauce was divine. We love the sea bass skewers and devoured 1 each then ordered the black cod which wasn't nearly as good but bf liked it. Everything was good and the service and views are A+. I highly recommend!!

I get that new restaurants have kinks to work out, but the staff here feels like they're auditioning for Mean Girls: Hospitality Edition. Confused, slightly hostile, and somehow still condescending. We check in for our reservation and immediately get hit with a scowl and a "just so you know there's a cake fee." No hello, no welcome--just scowls lol. Then we're seated in the darkest corner of the restaurant... while it's basically empty. We politely ask if we can move to a brighter, more central table, and the hostess has to "check with the team." Girl... the team is 80% empty tables?? Service? Glacial. Our server would disappear for 20 minutes at a time like he was on a side quest. The entire meal took almost 4 hours, and over half of that was just... waiting. The logic here also makes zero sense. At first, we're offered an extra chair or to squeeze into the booth. We say we'll wait for our full party. Once everyone arrives, we ask for the chair--and suddenly it's "not allowed." Meanwhile, there are empty chairs everywhere and tables around us with more seating. Make it make sense. We end up awkwardly cramming into the booth like it's a budget airline. Now the cake saga. They bring us plates... disappear... come back 20 minutes later asking if we want dessert. We ask for our cake. It arrives. No knife. Another 20 minutes. We flag him down, and he asks if we want it cut in the kitchen or a knife at the table. We ask for a knife... and at this point, we're so over it we ask if they can waive the cake fee. Manager comes over and gives us a whole speech about why they charge a $7 per head cake fee (sir, read the room), then begrudgingly waives it "this one time." Also tells us they're not allowed to give us a knife. Cool--then why was that even an option?? Now, credit where it's due: the food is actually solid. * Pão de queijo: light, fluffy, addictive * Miso cod + mushroom risotto: chef's kiss * Spicy tuna crispy rice: meh BUT here's the real issue--my friend announced her pregnancy at dinner, so we were being careful about raw food. We asked if the wagyu sushi roll was fully cooked. Our server confidently says yes. It comes out... very much not fully cooked. We try to ask him about it--and he vanishes into the abyss, never to be seen again. By the time we're ready to pay (hours later), we can't find our server anywhere. After waving at ghosts for 20 minutes, we walk up to reception and hand them our card. They literally swipe it... then tell us to go sit back down and wait for our server. ???? When he finally reappears, we have to tell him where our own credit card is so he can go find it. Honestly, what a mess. Good food trapped in a wildly disorganized, unnecessarily snobby experience. I do not have 4 hours to donate to confusion and attitude. Oh--and if you're street parking, keep feeding the meter unless you want to just surrender and pay the $30 valet.

The biggest disappointment I've experienced in a long time. I used to visit the Miami location on Lincoln Road and New York location in Manhattan and still remember how incredible the food was. Sadly, this experience was the complete opposite, everything we ordered went from bad to worse as the night progressed. I made a reservation a week in advance for a Saturday night, which turned into an unexpectedly stressful process. Their system only opens seven days ahead, at 9am sharp, and spots vanish within minutes. I had been checking daily at 6am and saw nothing available, and then called to find out that the system does not open until 9am and by then, everything was already gone. We ended up settling for a 10pm table on my boyfriend's birthday, which wasn't ideal, but we made the best of it. The service was awful - Our server came across as annoyed, overworked, and disengaged the entire evening. Any time we asked him for recommendations, he really didn't say much. It's like pulling teeth out of an annoyed individual. I wish I remembered his name but I do know what he looks like. He has curly black hair and was serving us upstairs on the right side of the restaurant. Here's how the food broke down: - Miso Soup -- Actually tasty. One of the only edible items. - Rock Shrimp -- Crunchy but tasteless and completely forgettable. There was no spicy mayo or any real sauce to speak of, which left the dish feeling unfinished and flat. - Sea Bass -- Poor flavor, tasted burnt, and the corn was inedible; hard, unpleasant, and I had to spit it out. A real miss for a dish at this price point. - Japanese Wagyu A5 Dumplings on Sweet Potato Puree -- I had one and stopped. It was not good. The flavor just didn't work, and at that price, this plate is simply not worth ordering. The potato puree tasted like baby food and the meat in the dumplings was gross. - Yellowtail and Wagyu A5 Taquitos -- The yellowtail was bland and cold and Wagyu was tasteless and salty. Also portions are tiny, like a baby taco for $20 each which is ridiculous. - Sushi roll that says it's supposed to be spicy but it has no spice at all and was full of rice and mayo; awful. - Japanese Wagyu A5 Bowl ($88) -- Absolutely awful. We could barely find any meat in what turned out to be an enormous bowl of rice and mushrooms. They said it had 2 ounces of meat, which was inaccurate, more like .02 ounces. The plate was salty and disgusting. We told our server we couldn't eat it, the manager came over and removed it from the bill, which was the right call, he also agreed with us and said he's received several complaints about this dish, but the fact that it was served that way to begin with is inexcusable. Rainforest Dessert -- White chocolate, ice cream, chocolate crumble with spongey green looking grass bush that was tasteless. We barely touched it. More like leave it in the rainforest. Skip it entirely. My four year old niece has made better desserts. The restaurant itself is beautiful with nice views of the city. But none of that excuses the food, which was largely inedible, or a bill that reflected none of the quality it promised. Also the music sounded like it was on repeat the entire night and the crowd was awful. My boyfriend wanted to celebrate his birthday here, and it was a real letdown. Don't waste your time or energy coming to this place.

Solid 4.5 restaurant. Beautiful new rooftop restaurant makes you feel like you're on vacation. Different than all the other sushi samba locations I've been to. Service still needs a little work but since it's a new restaurant I'm sure they will work out the kinks. My favorite things were the green salad, seabass skewers, yellowtail taquito, yellowtail sashimi, and spicy tuna hand roll. Danielle the manager is super helpful and kind. Will definitely be back.

Sushi Samba LA is such a vibe. From the moment you walk in, the decor and ambiance just hit -- super fun, energetic, and perfect whether you're going for an early dinner or staying later to catch the sunset outside (highly recommend). The food was incredible. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done -- but the standouts were definitely the sea bass skewers, the sushi rolls, and all of the ceviche/sashimi. You can really taste the quality. Service was just as impressive. Skylar, the GM, personally came by to check on us which was such a nice touch. And Alex, our server, was phenomenal -- super attentive, kind, and made everything seamless. Alex was especially great about noting my allergies/sensitivities and guiding us toward the right dishes, which I really appreciated. The entire staff, from hosts to runners, made the experience feel elevated and effortless. Can't wait to go back. You can tell they really put in the effort to make it special -- and it shows.

So so so damn good! Vibes were on point, food was delicious, and the servers were awesome. Was excited to try this place since it's a Brazilian Japanese ultimate combination and it did not disappoint. The best thing was definitely the Pao de queijo, we ended up having 3 orders of it!! Insanely fluffy, mochilike and the butter was amazing. Perfect for date night, company event, etc. I am coming back for sure!

    everything we had was delicious!!

It's perfect for groups, the menu is designed for sharing, so you can try a little bit of everything. My parents are vegetarian, and I love that they offer a dedicated vegetarian/vegan menu. Some standouts for me: the kampachi ceviche (fresh and bright), the causita crocante (so satisfying), the seafood chaufa paella (packed with flavor), the grilled octopus (perfectly tender), and the camarones (SO good). The cocktails here are fantastic -- balanced, creative, and just fun to drink. Next, we got the beet salad, I've dont think I've had anything like this before. It comes with burrata cheese and a citrus dressing, i quite liked it 4/5. She immediately said, "I know exactly what to get you," which I loved. I trusted her completely and I'm so glad I did. She brought out the dish (photo attached), and WOW. The flavor was so rich and delicious. I literally inhaled it. It had this perfect mix of comfort and bold flavor with shrimp, rice, vegetables, and even fries worked in there in a way that just made sense. I also ordered a small side salad, which ended up being the perfect balance. It added that fresh, light contrast to the warm, homey main dish. The vibes were great, the service felt personal, and the food completely exceeded my expectations. Definitely coming back and I can't wait to try more dishes.

When she took our order the food didn't take too long and we were so hungry we ate through the food so fast. My boyfriend got the lomo saltado montado which had eggs on top. I got the green chicken and veggie soup and the normal lomo saltado. Honestly, I only go to one other place by where I live. But this place did not disappoint! The ambience was clean and friendly.

Another famous battle is that of Peruvian food in Hollywood... Mario's versus Inti versus Natalie. Most Angelinos have their strong opinions on which is better (although there is room for everyone!); and I am half way through my own conclusion having tried Mario's and now having finally tried Natalie. Natalie's is a Peruvian staple in Hollywood holding real estate in a small strip plaza on Hollywood Blvd near the Bronson intersection. Careful, and don't blink or you will miss this establishment. Am I exaggerating? No. Natalie Peruvian is small... like mini pony small. So small that you better hope there is an empty table or you are out of luck and will have to wait to dine. However, don't let this deter you or you will lose the opportunity to enjoy some tasty Peruvian cuisine. The menu at Natalie includes traditional Peruvian comfort food with a focus on seafood ingredients featuring ceviches, soups, carne and chicken dishes, fried rice and of course fish galore. Plus, dessert for your sweet tooth like flan, Peruvian ice cream and cookies. My boyfriend and I arrived to a full restaurant on a Sunday (although that isn't difficult due to the small square footage); but were able to snag the last available table. There is something very home-y and welcoming at Natalie which extends to the staff whom are kind, friendly and make you feel like family. Natalie offers tableside bread and whipped butter plus the special spicy green sauce while browsing the menu to wet your appetite. To kick off our dinner, my boyfriend and I started with the Ceviche Mixto (fish, shrimp, octopus, squid in lemon juice and spices - $19.99) to share. I have been craving Lomo Saltado for MONTHS so I already knew it would be my choice (beef strips sautéed with onions, tomatoes and French fries served with rice - $19.99) while my boyfriend chose the Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos (seafood fried rice w/scrambled eggs and green onions - $20.99) for our entrees. Natalie doesn't skimp on portions nor forgets to highlight plate presentation as the plate are large and filled with bright colors and fresh ingredients. The Ceviche Mixto came complete with yucca, Peruvian corn, and large shrimps & seafood that is bright and refreshing; and although I would have liked slightly more acidity - this is some great ceviche! My Lomo Saltado was DIVINE! The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned but not overpowering the sauce, fries or veggies. This dish is a heavenly orchestra! My boyfriend has never tried Lomo Saltado (what?!?!?!) - and he was in love. My boyfriend's Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos was some damn good seafood fried rice! Light and plump rice with perfectly cooked seafood; this dish is a warming blanket of food. I would have preferred more seasoning but I am a lover of heavy seasoning and spice. Basically, Natalie Peruvian serves excellent food at a bang for for your buck. Natalie may be at competition with Mario's and Initi (try them all for yourself to decide); but they are certainly a brilliant choice for affordable and delicious Peruvian fare in a family atmosphere. Even if you have to wait for a table - Natalie worth it!

I've never had Peruvian food before, but having Los Balcones as my first introduction to Peruvian food was amazing! I had the Lomo Saltdo and the whole dish was amazing! It really just melts in your mouth! I also truly loved the vibe of the restaurant. The decor and dim lighting was really fun to be around. The service was also great! When I finally logged into Yelp to do just that, I was genuinely saddened to see that this place has since closed. It honestly broke my heart, because this was one of those dining experiences that truly stayed with me. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was stunning--beautiful rooftop vibes, warm energy, and a space that immediately made you feel like you were about to experience something special. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully executed, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. You could taste the care, creativity, and intention behind each bite. The Peruvian inspiration throughout the menu was both authentic and elevated, striking the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the chef herself coming out to introduce herself. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate. You could tell she truly poured her heart into her food. She took the time to explain the inspiration behind the dishes, and it made the entire meal feel even more meaningful. That level of personal touch is rare and so appreciated. Looking back at these photos now just reminds me how special this place was. Delicious food, a talented and thoughtful chef, and an overall experience that left a lasting impression. It's such a shame this spot is no longer around, because it truly deserved all the love and recognition. If the chef ever opens another concept, I will absolutely be first in line. Thank you for such a memorable meal--this is one I won't forget.

The Yuca Fries are a must! Fried and topped with chorizo. All of the sides sounded really good, but these are the best! The thigh meat chicken skewers are perfectly sauced, and can be ordered as an appetizer to be shared by two. All of the main dishes are meant to be shared. The prices are up there for the portions, but it's all a real treat for the taste buds, and the view is great! Highly recommend.

First of all, our server was wonderful -- incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. He gave thoughtful recommendations and explained the specials so well that we were immediately tempted. Now, I'll preface this by saying I'm half Argentinian -- so I'm very picky when it comes to Argentine food, especially chimichurri. I'm usually pretty critical. But Lala's absolutely delivered. The chimichurri was delicious -- bright, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Paired with the fresh, warm table bread? So good. Even though I normally can't resist empanadas, we followed our server's recommendation and started with the morcilla (blood sausage). It was incredible -- rich, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. For my entrée, I ordered the Fresh Spinach Pappardelle and took our server's suggestion to pair it with pesto sauce. As someone who loves pesto (and finds it surprisingly hard to get right in Southern California), I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It was fresh, vibrant, and satisfying without being heavy. My boyfriend ordered the Lomo (center-cut filet mignon). He's a sous chef at his own restaurant, so he's extremely critical when dining out -- and he had nothing but amazing things to say. That says a lot. The food quality was superb, the service was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall vibe was perfect for a Valentine's dinner. We'll absolutely be back -- and next time, I'm bringing my best friend (also half Argentinian) for her approval.
