It's perfect for groups, the menu is designed for sharing, so you can try a little bit of everything. My parents are vegetarian, and I love that they offer a dedicated vegetarian/vegan menu. We ordered a mix from both menus so everyone was happy, and the kitchen accommodated us beautifully. Some standouts for me: the kampachi ceviche (fresh and bright), the causita crocante (so satisfying), the seafood chaufa paella (packed with flavor), the grilled octopus (perfectly tender), and the camarones (SO good). The cocktails here are fantastic -- balanced, creative, and just fun to drink. First walking in its such a gorgeous restaurants, so much natural lighting and lushious greens.Such a vibe! Perfect place to take lots of cute pictures in. Came here for a celebratory dinner for my friend who just started a new job. We usually do Italian so we were looking for a different cuisine to try. Walking in, the inside had a great ambience - low lighting, greenery, mood lights. It wasn't too loud and not too quiet, so great for a group like ours. We started with drinks and I got the pisco sour. Super yummy and not too syrupy or sweet. The egg white foam was a perfect combination to balance out the sourness. We decided to do family style with appetizers and started with the Kampachi ceviche (aji pesto, roasted sweet potato, rocoto leche de tigre, aji limo lime), ceviche crocante (channel Islands wild halibut, crispy baby calamari, huacatay oil, aji amarillo leche de tigre), and yuquitas fritas (Yuca fries with huancaina sauce, feta cheese, botija olives). Everything was very delicious and the sauces had a lot of depth of flavor that paired well with the dish it came with. I will pass on the ceviche crocante next time though. The calamari didn't seem like anything special. Still good, but just not very unique to the restaurant. For my main, I got the pescado parrillero (grilled branzino, charcoal quick dried, black mint aji sauce, canario beans puree). At the price point, I honestly expected half a fish. It came with the entire fish including the head (which I like to eat haha) and was grilled to a delicate, flakey texture. The flavors of the mint aji sauce worked so well and the grilled vegetables added textural variety. I would have liked if there was more sauce on the side, since I ended up dipping my veggies in it too, but overall, the dish was amazing! My friend got the lomo saltado (6oz sautéed filet mignon, roasted tomatoes, braised cipollini, sunny side egg, kimlan soy dressing, tomato coulis) and we swapped a few bites. Her entree was also delicious. A steak with stewed potatoes and tomatoes in Peruvian flavors. I would love to try some of the other entrees during my next visit! Service was good. I'm really disappointed by my experience at Rosaline. First, some context: my friends and I are all working-class people who understand what it's like to be on the service side of the dining experience. We're always kind and respectful -- we know how taxing it can be to work front-facing jobs. We also understand how jaded staff might get from dealing with rude or entitled patrons. But when a group is warm and respectful, that attitude shouldn't be projected onto them. Unfortunately, that's exactly how we were treated by our server. From the start, he seemed cold and disinterested. No smile, no warmth, and no effort to make us feel welcome -- just an annoyed demeanor every time he approached the table. There was no trace of the courtesy or basic hospitality I know so many of us in service roles are expected to perform, even on our worst days. To be clear, I want to shout out two exceptions: the hostess and the manager (I believe she was an Asian woman). They were both lovely. The hostess congratulated me when I arrived -- I had noted in our reservation that this was a graduation dinner, and she acknowledged it with genuine kindness. The manager later brought out a celebratory dessert with a candle and congratulated me again. It was a small but heartfelt gesture that meant a lot. But even that was overshadowed by how uncomfortable our server made us feel throughout the meal. When he brought the check, he gave me a half-hearted "congratulations" with a forced smile. It felt more like an obligation than a gesture of celebration. Now for the food: overall, it was underwhelming. We're not food snobs or influencers -- we were just hoping for a solid, memorable meal. The cocktails (especially the fresa fresca and pasión de la noche) were amazing -- bright, refreshing, and honestly the highlight of the night alongside the desserts. We loved the chancay con leche, bon bon bons!, and sorbet. But most of the savory dishes were a letdown. The ceviche I ordered -- which was a major reason I chose this spot -- was nothing like I expected. I was hoping for something with more freshness and produce, but it was just four thin slices of fish in vinaigrette. The pecans on top were good, though. There was also a major miscommunication with the lomo al trapo. When it arrived, it turned out to be chicken -- not the filet mignon we ordered. Our server acknowledged it was his mistake but didn't inform us of the substitution beforehand. He offered to comp it and let us replace it with a different entree. We kept one to try, but it was forgettable, though the chicken was cooked well. My friend replaced theirs with the octopus, which he said had a nice, meaty texture. The arroz con pollo was also "meh." The rice lacked flavor, but again, the chicken was moist. One standout? The yuquitas fries. Absolutely amazing -- crispy, flavorful, and the unanimous favorite of the night. The space itself was also not what I'd hoped for. I had picked this place partially for the cute skylight and greenery vibe, but the tables were so cramped we were practically touching the backs of the people behind us. It made it hard to get in and out of our seats and made the dinner feel even less comfortable. And the bathrooms? Pretty gross. They smelled of urine and looked more like what you'd find at a dive bar than a nice restaurant. Honestly, I should've gone to Laurel Hardware -- the food is better, the bathrooms are immaculate, and the ambiance is far more beautiful and spacious. This was supposed to be a celebratory night -- the culmination of my graduation day. I had hoped to treat myself and my loved ones to something special. Instead, I walked away feeling hurt and disappointed. It's not like I get to splurge on meals like this often, so when it falls short, it really stings. All in all, I wouldn't come back. The experience cast a shadow over what should have been a joyful, celebratory evening. The drinks he made were so delicious and refreshing! We ordered the tiradito de corvina ceviche, pimentones, causa jar, and the yuquitas fritas. All were soo good, compliments to the chef. Excellent service, excellent food, wonderful ambiance. I came here on a Tuesday night with a friend and our server greeted us and let us choose any table we wanted. One other table was seated when we arrived, and, during the course of our early dinner, the restaurant started to fill up but the noise level never changed. It was quiet and peaceful but still felt lively and warm and inviting. The decor and lighting are both very thoughtfully designed. Our server seemed to be taking care of the entire restaurant on his own, and he did a great job. He was always checking on us in an unobtrusive way, and he seemed to know anytime we needed something. Even though he probably had 6-7 tables by the time we left, we never waited for anything. The food also arrived quickly. We ordered the shishito peppers which were AMAZING, the Causa Jar which was surprising and delicious with all of the different colors, textures, and flavors, the vegetarian paella which had fantastic crispy rice, and the Diver scallops which came with a delicious arugula salad. Everything was delicious, but the shishitos and the Causa Jar with quinoa bread were the standouts of the entire meal. The quinoa bread was unlike any bread I've ever had - crispy but soft once you bite into it and it was the perfect accompaniment for the eggplant, beet, avocado, and potato mousse in the Causa Jar. The only downside to Rosaline was the bill. Our dinner was $189 for two appetizers, two entrees, and one mock tail and one cocktail. With A-list celebrities visiting on the regular it's no secret that this is one of the hottest spots in town. We booked a reservation for 10 and shared a meal tapas style. Some of the memorable dishes include the aceitunas, causita crocante, causa jar, lomo saltado, arroz con mariscos, and the chaufa paella. If I were to do it all over again, I'd order a round two of the causa jar, lomo saltado, and the chaufa paella. The causa jar was such a unique menu item that left the entire table oo-ing and ah-ing. While the concept is pricey, Rosaline is more than a restaurant, it's an experience. Despite splitting the bill, we ended up paying around $120 per person for tapas and a cocktail. I'd highly recommend visiting for a special occasion, or bringing your foodie friends for an authentic peruvian meal they won't soon forget. read more

We ordered the following: 1. Pan andino $14 It was quinoa bread that was nice and crunchy on the outside and warm inside. It came with 3 spreads and our favorite was the rocoto pepper butter. It was flavorful and savory. 2. Seafood chaufa paella $59 This dish is why I go to any Peruvian restaurant including this one. It had giant fresh pieces of shrimp, scallops and calamari. The space feels like a greenhouse as there are many hanging plants and a glass roof - tres chic. We split a kanpachi ceviche, yuquitas fritas, beef hearts, diver scallops, and lomo saltado. Everything was fresh and tasty. The lomo saltado was the standout dish for our table. The yuquitas fritas came with feta cheese which I thought was quite interesting along with a yellow sauce. I'm so happy to have recently discovered this restaurant. I wouldn't say it's your typical Peruvian joint, but the food was amazing. The food at Rosaline is meant to be shared family-style, and you'll be happy it's this way because everything you get to try will be delicious. Starting off with the drinks, I had a pisco-sour because when at a Peruvian restaurant...(Peruvians and Chileans fight over who discovered Pisco), which I really enjoyed. It's citrusy, and you can definitely feel the egg white foam. I also had the quita calzon which is mezcal-based, so it has a bit of that smokey flavor, but not too over-powering if you're concerned about the mezcal. The other ingredients such as the coconut water and lime balance it out. The other drinks that I had were also good, but I think the pisco-sour was my favorite. As for for the food, the kanpachi ceviche (must-get) was delicious. The fish was definitely fresh and perfectly-seasoned. We had to order several because we were a big group and this dish was so popular! It comes with some sliced sweet potatoes and a little bit of onion and cilantro garnish. The ceviche crocante was also good, and again, not the ceviche style you may be used to. The ceviche is halibut based and was coated over aji amarillo leche de tigre. I like that they put a twist on their dishes, but I prefer my ceviche simple and in the more traditional way. The last thing we got from the La Cevicheria section was the grilled avocado. I think this might have been the only dish I was not too crazy about. Although I love scallops, splitting up an avocado amongst a big group... not ideal. I would skip on this one if you're on the fence about it. We tried three types of paellas: seafood, vegetarian, and chaufa. The chaufa and seafood chaufa are basically the same, the only difference being that instead of clams and calamari, you get sausage in the regular chaufa. I would definitely opt for the seafood one to get these two, even though the number of clams you get is not that high. Regardless, both of these were really good, and I would definitely make sure to try at least one of their paella options. I do have to note that their vegetarian paella was a bit disappointing. It was pretty much a stir fry fried rice, nothing special about it. The camarones, scallops (must-get), and grilled octopus were all really good. The prawns were decently sized and meaty. The octopus was a bit small and hard to share, but I've been on an octopus phase, so it was well worth it for me. The scallops were my favorite, and I think a lot of the people from the group would agree with me. I think it was the yuzu seasoning that really did it for me. This was so good that we had to order an extra serving since it was such a hit. Between the short rib and tomahawk, I would go for the short rib. Not only is the tomahawk way more expensive, but it was also a bit dry even though we ordered it medium-rare. I think that the restaurant specializes more on their seafood options, so I would personally stick to seafood on my next visit. Lastly, the ensalada de beterraga (must-get) and ceviche de hongos are very-well-worth mentioning. The beets salad surprised everyone with how tasty and innovative it was. It comes with ricotta and burrata, so you get that tangy cheesy taste, candied pecans to add some additional sweetness, and seasoned with vinaigrette. Holy Moly!!! I freaking LOVED this place. My friend was visiting from out of town and I mapped out an entire itinerary for him, including restaurants. I had mediocre expectations for Rosaline, but it blew my mind as well as the other two that were with me. To start, I had their Pasión de la Noche which was served on fire. Everyone loves a fiery drink, right? It was perfection. We split the Ensalada de Beterraga, which included beets and burrata, one of my all time fave combos. The crunchy quinoa on top was a nice little finish. Lastly, I tried their Lomo Saltado, which was a massive portion. Order: pasion de la noche (drink), tiradito de corvina (ceviche), the seafood paella (not pictured), and the costillas. The pasion de la noche is tequila and passion fruit. They light the passion fruit on top on tire. It was the best drink. The group of 5 ordered different drinks and we ended up getting this one for the second round. The ceviche was kind of small. We got it would be enough for all of us, but it only comes with 4 pieces. We also didn't realize the ceviche would be sliced? We thought it would come in a bowl. Flavors were all there though which is why we were sad there wasn't more. The costillas aka the braised ribs were absolutely amazing. There was more bone than expected though. The meat was so tender and the spices were all there. I'm not sure i would say to get a second plate because of the price, but this is a dish everyone (if they can) must try. We got the seafood paella (no pictures) and that was definitely enough to feed 5 people. They did not skimp on the portions! It was really good. read more
