    This place is gorgeous

Delicious food, outstanding service, amazing, intimate ambiance. I couldn't be happier with my experience. Seriously. You can read my other reviews. I am rarely this happy haha I'll be back.

Had the best time here! We sat at the bar and were able to order a few drinks and food with the bartender, TJ, who was extremely friendly and attentive. The drinks he made were so delicious and refreshing! We ordered the tiradito de corvina ceviche, pimentones, causa jar, and the yuquitas fritas. All were soo good, compliments to the chef. For apps, I HIGHLY recommend the causa jar and the yuiquitas fritas. A little on the pricier side but definitely worth it! All the workers were extremely friendly, felt very comfortable being there. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

I had a mixed experience at this restaurant. Despite only three tables being occupied, service was slow--our drinks took 40 minutes. The food is average-good; the rice is super crunchy and yummy, the short rib were burnt. Steak w egg on top was amazing. The beet salad was really good. The octopus was terrible, super chewy and lacked taste. Ceviche was just okay. All in all, its an okay place to grab Peruvian foods and a drink.

Vegan paella was really really good Also got the flatbread but it does not look like a flatbread pizza pizza it's basically chopped up flat bread with dip Service was 10 out of 10 everyone from the people at the front door to the bartender to our waiter were phenomenal I'll a very beautiful restaurant not too big not too small quaint beautiful decorations just the right amount of greenery great textures to the wall absolutely stunning place

I love this little hidden gem on Melrose. Is it the most authentic Peruvian food I've ever had? Nah. But it's still really good. A gorgeous space with soft, warm, lighting, greenery, and an open concept, the ambiance is moody in all the right ways. I tried the lomo saltado and the seafood pallela. I'm happy I ordered both because the au jus from the lomo saltado elevated the flavor of the rice in the pallela. So much so that I wouldn't order the pallela again without the lomo saltado. Also tried the octopus; fresh with an excellent char and a great texture. Can't remember what cocktail I ordered, but they lit on fire and as someone with a flair or the dramatic, I was a happy camper. Our server was warm, funny, and knowledgeable. A great experience.

** Valentine day menu REVIEW ** ($85 + gratuity) I want to highlight that I came to this restaurant for an event & not for their usual dinning experience. I highlight that because I was a bit disappointed with their Valentine's Day experience. However, I understand that having an event can cause food quality to lessen because of the quantity they have to provide for their guests The service was attentive & it seemed they had more staff members for this event My boyfriend set this up for us & it was beautiful, however, the food was not the greatest. Appetizer (not pictured) 4/10: it was two rolls of bread with strawberry jelly First dish 4/10: this was the pink mash potatoes with mushrooms and avocado. I am not sure if this dish was meant to be cold, but my dish was cold & eating mash potatoes cold was difficult Main dish 7/10: had great flavor, however, the sauce was a bit overwhelming for me Dessert 6/10: I got the cake with sherbet, and the cake was a bit dry Overall, it was a beautiful restaurant, and I absolutely love Peruvian food, however, this restaurant Valentine's Day menu dish did not present the restaurants food as gracefully as I had hoped. This is not to say that I won't pay a visit to this restaurant again, because I am curious to see what other things they have on the menu!

Everything was amazing from the ambiance, the food, drinks and everything in between! We came in with a group of girls for a birthday party and were all blown away by this place! We got a big variety of food and everything was 10/10. The butternut squash was the highlight for me! And the bread appetizer. Yum!! Our server was so sweet and took great care of us! Can't wait to come back

We made last-minute reservations on Friday at 8:30 pm, and we are glad that we got a spot. The restaurant was 70% full that night. The food was phenomenal, and the service was above expectations. I love their sea bass ceviche. There are only four thin slices in a portion, but they taste outstanding. The grilled octopus was delicious. It was not chewy at all, and the highlight was the seafood paella. Super delicious! It took longer to make but not too long, and the portion is enormous! I think it can feed 3-4 people. Valet is available for $10, but there are also street parking all around.

Came here for a girls night on a Sunday. The food and drinks were so good. We ordered the Ceviche crocante, chaufa paella and the lomo saltado but sub with chicken. There is valet parking and metered (2 hours parking). Beautiful decoration and the staff were nice and friendly.

    The filet dish!

Loved the service and the food, it was excellent. We came in as a group of 6 and our waiter was quick to bring drinks and make some recommendations. We asked him to treat it like Omakase and course out some recommendations that included some vegetarian options for one of the six in our party. We loved the halibut ceviche, the quinoa bread, seafood paella, and the Lomo Al Trapo (filet) as highlights. We ordered a few other things which were all good including vege paella and beet salad too. Drink wise I liked the Bellicose Warrior best although the Pasion de la noche did arrive on fire so presentation was fun. Great night, great service and not a single miss just some items were highlights. Location is good, interior is pretty and the vibe is pretty laid back. Also they should bottle their hot sauce and the green sauce they put on the rice (served with chicken) and sell it! Having traveled to Peru and loved the food, I thought it was great and I also imagine some of the dishes are intended to be a variation based on the chef wanting to innovate. Highly recommend!

My friend recommended grabbing a drink at the Rosaline since we were just across the street at a bar for my bday. So for my review, I can only speak for the bar experience. The interior was gorgeous, greenery draped from the glass ceiling. I can imagine it's nice during the day as well. The bartender was laid-back and friendly. The tequila shots were incredibly smooth. And the cocktails were tasty and decorative. Definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion.

    Dee H.

Ambiance: Great date spot, romantic and intimate Food: Short ribs: excellent flavor on its own, but the fig sauce really made it 11/10! Arroz con pollo: well seasoned rice almost like a risotto with unique sauce. Chicken was DRY Service: acceptable but a little slow at times Please note: a 20% service fee is automatically applied whether your party is of 2 or more than that

    Julie D.

The ambiance here is so cute! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was good but it was pretty pricey for the amount that you get. Drinks were mid.

The music volume was tolerable as well as the selection of choice. Felt like I was on vacation for a min. A great spot to have drinks. A great to spot to meet up or even come for a date. The Melrose Mule was cool. Very refreshing like the bartender mentioned. It was different than the usual mules I get. And the Improved Whiskey was like having an Old Fashion and Whiskey Sour together. It did not disappoint. I also had an attentive bartender who had a good attitude. I like the presentation with it being wrapped in foil. It was cooked perfectly, it was hot and flavorful. No complaints other than the size. As we walked in, nothing caught our attention more than the brilliant lively atmosphere. As we took our seats we awaited what would surely be a culinary journey. We ordered the margarita pizza, the calamari, the meatballs, garlic bread, and the pasta pomodoro. Fortunately and unfortunately, our first dish of the night happened to be the garlic bread. The bread locked. It's garlic butter flavor, or that of flavor at all. if it was all we had ordered, Met Him At A Bar would surely be given one star, but thankfully they had more to offer. The meatballs for one held our attention much longer than that of the garlic bread. The flavoring in the meatballs themselves brought us straight back to our childhood straight back to our roots, as the creamy marinara sauce brought the dish to life. A simple yet elegant dish truly. For us, the calamari was simply there. It's maintained everything you want in a calamari yet added nothing new. It stood out to us not in a world of flavor, texture, and culinary experiences. The Margarita Pizza, however it was quite small. What it lacked in size was made up for in flavor. The melted mozzarella mixed with pizza sauce on the pizza to create a pool of flavor, lingering in the middle of the pizza until one slice is picked up and eaten. Lastly, the pasta Pomodoro. The sauce was thin, the pasta was overcooked instead of al dente. In the singular basil leaf stood atop the pasta, not for flavor, but to save the appearance of a disgraceful pomodoro. It's safe to say, Met Him At A bar may or may not be "Meating" us again... Most Sincerely, yours truly: Henry Pollock & Hayden Kalebic
