Went to this place for my uncle's birthday. We were a decent size group of 6 people. They have Valet so it makes parking super easy. Everyone who worked there was so kind and wonderful. The inside was very nice and super clean. They had great recommendations for drinks and for food. We got the zucchini blossoms. The tuna and tomato carpaccio. The pizza tartufo Nero. The calamaro grigliato. The branzino. The pollo vesuvio. Every single dish was amazing and full of flavor. The zucchini blossoms were my favorite. You dont see them very often on a menu so when they are there its a must. I highly recommend this place! We will all be back! Thabk you for an lovely experience.

Marino's is an absolute surprise and delight. We had some of the most incredible dishes here on a rainy Tuesday. This may be Hollywood's best kept secret. A wonderfully accommodating staff with no pretentiousness whatsoever and a menu to die for. I would actually love to see the ambience of this place at night because I bet it transforms into a completely different experience. Everyone in our party of 5 were loving everything they ordered. Some of the stand out dishes you must try are the Crudo di Mare, Cauliflower Mushroom (will blow your mind), Tuna Tartare (served on an avocado where you can eat the skin - incredible) and the Tartufo pizza. I also ordered the Caesar with Shrimp and that was incredible. Don't sleep on this place. It's absolutely amazing.

OMG this was such an amazing dinner! Persimmon Burrata, Black Cod, Pappardelle Lamb, NY Steak, Black Truffle Pizza - and wine to match. This was an exceptional experience. Incredible food and service from Mario himself. I can't wait for my next dinner here. One of the best Italian dinners Ive had in Los Angeles. Don't ask about the price lol. It's worth it! 100% recommended.

We had a lovely dinner at Marino's. Staff was friendly and efficient. We were comfortable in the black booth seats, viewing a Christmas tree and relaxing as the hum of conversations blended around us. The food was delicious. The Calamari Fritti was so tender and fresh. Simply done to perfection. Winter Persimmons with Burrata was a welcoming change from tomatoes. The Branzino does not disappoint when looking for lighter fare. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and all of us were surprised by how good it tasted. It was one, if not the best, we have ever had. Our friend had the Black Cod and it looked stunning on the plate. For dessert we shared the tiramisu which was another classic done well. So glad we went to Marino's for dinner!

We dined at Marino for LA Dine week and had the most wonderful experience! The Marino brothers were in house and took the time to walk us through our experience. They were so accommodating and friendly. The restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated. We ordered the peach and burrata for appetizers which were incredible. The mains were truffle gnocchi and lobster pasta. The gnocchi is made in house daily and was absolutely delightful. We ended with a melon tasting and apricot crumble. It was great to have so many options on such an affordable menu ($35). All in all the experience was awesome. We felt like we were personally taken care of and the food was great. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

    Menu description as of 8/5/25

My mother and I both got the "Pastina in Brodo" soup to go because she didn't want beans. What we got was a tomato mix soup, mix of pasta (Orecchiette, Penne, and almost like a thick rigatoni), white beans, pieces of chicken, and vegetables. It just wasn't what we had ordered from the menu, so we called, and the guy who answered was kind of condescending, telling me about the density of pasta so maybe it just sank to the bottom (even though I checked and also I was staring at the soup) and how he was Italian. Nothing I said was getting through, so I kind of gave up near the end, to be honest. Ultimately, I'm giving three stars because I grew up going there often for family reunions, so I'm nostalgic since I met Mario when I was much younger and he was nice to me, and the other items we got for dinner were good. I want to be clear that I'm not saying the restaurant is bad or anything, just be careful if you're ordering delivery/to go if you have allergies/food intolerances, and need what's on the menu to be correct. During the call near the end, he told me that they actually don't have pastina and it's not clear broth, but broth mixed with marinara/tomato. I just wish he had acknowledged that what's on the menu isn't the same as what's being served or that the menu could be more specific, instead of making me feel crazy. "Chicken soup, beans, marinara, pasta, vegetables" - something like that, and maybe call it something else since there's no pastina? I just wanted to make sure that people know and maybe call ahead to check if they're worried, in case they had allergies or intolerances (ex. beans, tomato). I would also recommend maybe calling ahead if you have allergies/intolerances in general since given this, it's possible that other menu items aren't listed correctly/specifically enough.

My husband and I normally go to DineLA to try out different restaurants. I would say this dining experience did not meet our expectations. When we first got there, we had to wait to be seated for quite some time. I guess they were waiting for people to leave as the restaurant is small with limited seats. We were later seated and they asked if we wanted water. We said yes but they forgot to bring it. We had to ask for it as they did apologize afterwards. From the 4-course DineLA menu, my husband got the peach and burrata and I got the crudo (which was delicious but small). For the pasta, I got the lobster pasta but my husband wanted the gnocchi. Unfortunately, he couldn't get that because they were all out of it. He was able to get another pasta dish from the original menu as a replacement. He got the ravioli. For the main course, we both got the NY steak. It was weird that the waiter didn't ask us what temperature we want our steaks. It's a good thing the steaks came out medium rare. But imagine others who want medium or medium-well. The truffle mashed potato that came with the steak was very tasty. Although this dish was delicious, the portion was very small. I believe the steak was about 4 oz. According to the DineLA site, the dessert section on the menu has sticky toffee but the DineLA menu from the restaurant did not have that. My husband was bummed because sticky toffee is his favorite dessert and was looking forward to that. Instead, we both got the peach streusel with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious, but again, very small portion. Overall, I would rate this experience 2.75 out of 5. Ambience was loud and service was slow. They forgot the water, did not ask about our desired steak temperature, were out of gnocchi, and did not have sticky toffee. And for $65/person, I should not be leaving the restaurant still feeling hungry. Quality of food was good and it was very tasty, but portion size was a big disappointment. As a reminder, I am comparing my experience with other DineLA experiences. I attached some photos of the food.

Food: Rice slushy had a strangely strong cinnamon-like taste to it that traditional rice punch doesn't have which was so overpowering, it made it difficult to go back for more sips. Oysters - good though small, enjoyed the kelp mignonette Korean Aguachile - Delicate tilefish completely overwhelmed by cold kimchi broth with actual icy slush in it and small amounts of fish Steak Tartare - The hot stone bowl seemed to defeat the purpose of a tartare, as it cooked the steak once mixed. The perilla leaves were also cut in large strips relative to the beef. Chilled Acorn Noodle - The perilla oil was nonexistent in flavor though the dish didn't need it and was good without. Overall, portions were small for the price and dishes weren't well-executed so despite being excited for more Korean options in West LA, I'd much rather make the drive to Koreatown for better portions, prices, and flavors.

First off, I have to praise 1933 group because I have loved every single bar they have revitalized and this one is no different. In keeping with their MO, The Lucky Tiki is a speakeasy with a vintage vibe. I won't give away how to get in but let's just say, it's near the front of Highland Park Bowl. My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. Meat after meat, I kept experiencing the same exact texture. It was the same exact rubbery chew, I initially tasted. Each and every piece was the same exact flavor. There was no peak, there was no pitfall. If you cook or grill, you know this is a red flag. Normally, consistency would be a good thing, a Master craftsman type experience, but this was NOT it. As go on, I get the sinking feeling, this can't be real meat. I lock in, the deeper I dig, each piece looks the same, broken apart the same, tastes the same, just various shapes. They can call me crazy for this one - I'll stand by it. Something is not right here. I'm not even going to throw it away. I'm going to study it for the next few days and post an updated review. I hope I'm wrong but as of right now, I'll never revisit this place. Too freaky of an experience. We
